Location! We walked to the market almost every morning to get fresh fruit and pastries. Walked to Hulihe'e Palace and many shops and restaurants. If not for the parking I could easily give this a 4 star rating.
Instead of memories we had an ordeal. After check-in we had a major hours-long challenge getting into the unit. Over the next 2 days we contacted 7 people most of whom did not respond, made unkept promises or provide actual help. We were told the coded lock is indeed “tricky” but an override key was in a lock box no one knew the code for. Once a single override key was finally provided, we had to then decide where we went, when we went and how we could get back in. Booking a vacation rental should allow for unfettered entry and access as well as piece-of-mind none of which was provided.

Lovely atmosphere, great pool, great lanai, comfy bed. Night security would be an asset due to noise at night since nobody was available to address any problems. 2 rolls of TP for 3 weeks, not enough. We were disappointed with Vacasa's exorbitant fees.
The host communicated well when we got locked out a number of times (code to door failed) but when we asked why we received an extra charge of over 300 USD after we booked, radio silence. It is an older property and not as clean as we would have expected for the price (curtains stained/bed an older box spring and mattress with old foam on top). AC is also very loud. Pool area was only okay and the beach advertised was not used as the area is has a sad number of people experiencing homelessness.
My husband and I absolutely loved the location of this condo. The place was clean and just what we needed for a relaxing stay.
The location was perfect for in town amenities. The condo was the perfect size for my husband and I. The grounds were beautiful, the a/c was great, we loved the bbqs at the pool and again, the LOCATION! 10/10 RECOMMEND
This stay is a fantastic choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a scenic experience in Kona. The combination of essential amenities like a pool, laundry, and BBQ area, along with the stunning views and proximity to local attractions, makes it a well-rounded option for a relaxing vacation.
What a gem! This location is very central to the main beach attractions, stores, restaurants, etc. This stay had laundry facilities, pool and a bbq area for guests to use. The unit was clean and comfortable. It has a nice patio for enjoying drinks or a meal outside to soak up the sunset or sunrise. We loved our stay and would book again.
If you’re looking for something in the heart of downtown Kona, then this is your place. It’s walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping center. Down the street is the farmers market.
Also was easy to get Ubers going in and out of there. If you’re a towel user, I would suggest asking for extra towels before hand, as the front desk doesn’t have extra towels.
The front desk was very helpful.
There was a woman working there, beautiful grey hair, and she was amazing and very helpful.
All in all we had a great experience!
I would stay again if they dropped price
2 things are important for me and my wife: comfortable bed and white noise from a cold AC. This had both. The location is in walking distance from everything. People complain about the front desk lady, but she was awesome. I can understand some people might be short tempered after a long day of travel. Parking can be tough after 3PM. Parking spots are tight. Good shower. No road noise facing the street. Would stay here again.
First off let me state the pros. Location is great. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. Everywhere is easily accessible from car as well. The negatives are both preference and obvious. The pictures look like it's a cute studio recently updated. It's not. The unit could use a good painting and scrub down. The floors have a lot of damage and sound hollow and loud when you walk on them. We had a hard time with one sink that is used for dishes but also washing your hands after you use the restroom. Working in the medical profession ummm no. The front lobby staff could be a little more pleasant. That's all just preference. The biggest problem just to be aware that can not be changed is parking. It's horrendous!! There is limited availability on the property so you park on the street if you can't find a spot there you park across the street. If that's full then you're s.o.l. because everyone parks like doo doo there. I feel bad for families with little kids trying to navigate that trainwreck of a parking situation. The place is not horrible but I would consider searching or paying a little bit more.
