Makahuena at Poipu unit #2204 on the 2nd-floor: This ocean-view space is absolute bliss! The living room, dining area, and kitchen all enjoy the ocean view, as does the master bedroom. The living room and both bedrooms are cooled by ceiling fans. The unit has three ceiling fans, one in the living room, one in the master bedroom, and one in the guest bedroom.
The living room has a flat-screen TV and DVD players. The kitchen is fully equipped. A washer and dryer are among the appliances found in the unit. The king-bed master bedroom faces the ocean and contains two swivel chairs with a table at the end of the bed. It also includes a large walk-in closet with lots of space to hang your clothes and a dresser with drawers. The en suite bathroom features a tub and vanity. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made up into one king bed. It has a dresser, hanging clothes closet and, nightstand. The second bathroom includes a tub off of the hallway. A washer and dryer are among the appliances found in the unit.
Our ocean view resort offers stunning views from each vacation condo. While we do not have air-conditioning in this unit, we have fans to help circulate the Pacific breeze. Each condo has a sliding glass door that opens onto the lanai, and windows throughout the space to help enhance the cross-breeze throughout the space....

Not a bad location, walking to trail and beach. Property was a little dated and lacked knives(1 chefs knife) and condiments as well as washing machine pods. informed days prior to arrival of lanai handrail work which I understand can happen but we had a white plastic lattice panel keeping us from going outside completlely. Many other condos had orange caution netting up on the railing with the use of chairs but not this unit. Lastly,
they wanted to come in and spray the interior for ants and roaches and we were able to have them come back the next day when we were leaving. Seems like that could have been scheduled on a moving day.

My initial impression was great. Great view. The property is clean, but a little dated--understandably with the cost of things. Disappointment came from the 1. master bathroom because of the cabinets disintegrating and my clothes getting caught on them, 2. the "stock supplies" of the property. [We stayed five nights (lost a few nights due to weather and flights canceled) and then added a night to make a total of 6 nights.] Towels were supplied for each person but no way to change or wash them. Had to ask for laundry soap and received only 1 tiny single-use package to wash towels on vacation. After we extended our stay one night (charged full price and asked for more supplies) 3 Without notification, a maintenance crew came to the condo to place orange construction chicken fencing on the lanai due to concerns about an unsafe railing. We understand the safety issue and were not leaning on the railing, but we lost complete use of the lanai and view. No other lanai connected to the railing had the lanai blocked off. So with those three issues stacking up we were disappointed.
