Hanalei Bay Resort is one of the premier properties on Kauai. Nestled on 22 acres along the beautiful coastline of the North Shore, the resort abounds with tropical foliage and amazing views of the green mountains, waterfalls, tropical sunsets over Bali Hai, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. In this spot overlooking Hanalei Bay, you'll be steps from a white-sand beach located below the resort.
Originally built as a tennis resort, the property still features some of the finest tennis facilities on the island. Enjoy access to eight tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, bell and shuttle service, beach gear rentals, a lagoon-style saltwater pool designed for family fun, and a quieter, smaller pool for those looking for something a little more relaxing. Hanalei Bay Resort also boasts close proximity to many North Shore attractions, shops, and two of Kauai’s best golf courses.

THINGS TO KNOW
Condos contain lockouts, meaning there are shared doors. Sounds may be audible between connecting doors.
Hanalei Bay Resort fees are due at check-in to the resort and are collected by the front desk. These include a one-time fee of $50 per reservation, a reservation fee of $6.75 for every non-owner reservation request, a $25 a day resort fee, and a $20 fee per car a day for parking.
Hanalei Bay Resort currently charges a $22 per day resort fee and a $10 per day, per vehicle, parking fee. This is paid directly to the resort and not included in the rental rate or fees.
Due to staffing shortages caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, the hotel restaurant and bars may be periodically closed.

We loved this room and it’s location. It’s the end unit so it’s more quiet and has one of the best views! Highly recommend.

Condo was in great shape, views are outstanding, being on the top floor was great. We even had a nesting NeNe at the base of our building! Pool bar is closed indefinitely, but the Happy Talk lounge at the resort was very cool!

Only good thing was the Amazing views and resort amenities. As for the room, just ok, you’re paying for the view. The bed was ok, ran out of hot water, and limited toiletries.

We loved everything about our stay at the Hanalay Bay Resort. The room was clean&got the best views you can possible imagine. Every night a wonderful sunset over the bay of Hanalay from the own terasse. It was an absolute dream.

Overall positive experience. Million dollar view and great location. Nice resort with outstanding amenities and terrific staff. Special tip of the cap to the concierge Cy! However, cleanliness of the condo left quite a bit to be desired. Additionally, 4 towels and 2 wash cloths were hardly appropriate for 2 people for a week. Both the resort staff and management team were most helpful to quickly rectify any issues. Bed was very comfortable, however could use a better seating arrangement.

We loved staying here! The view of the ocean/Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai are unmatched and never get old. The room was an ample size for my husband and I. The resort itself has beautiful grounds and a lovely main pool with a smaller pool closer to this room. When we were there (late Aug 2021), both the pool bar and the Happy Talk lounge were open Thursday-Sunday, which was perfect. This location is a great home base to see the rest of Kauai, though a car is a necessity if you want to get around. Thanks so much for what was our best vacation ever! We’ll be back!
