The Space

They just don't build them like they used to!

We have always appreciated the beautiful view from our lanai as so many other condos overlook parking lots. You will notice this as you walk along the main strip.

This unit is in the non-commercial south end of Kihei and yet with-in walking distance of Kihei's commercial district.

The beach is directly across the street making this unit closer to the beach than pricier resorts of Wailea. No driving to the beach and searching for a parking space.

Built in the 1970's, Hale Kamaole has an optimum location coveted by new developers. Today on Maui, newly constructed condominiums are necessarily built on sites set further back from the beaches and precious land is not "wasted" on wide open lawns in order to maximize profits.

Residents at Hale Kamaole value their wide-open green space as well as the property's proximity to the beach. The 189 units housed in 8 buildings sit on nearly 8 acres. Owners prefer to update their properties and stay rather than trade the life-style Hale Kamaole offers for the luxuries of new resorts.

Hale Kamaole is a "green" complex; it has solar powered water heaters and uses a private well for gardens.

You have an equipped kitchen, laundry closet and a free parking space. The space is bright, airy, uncluttered and clean. Simple decor features local wildlife and a touch of 1940's Hawaii. A sweet art print of a baby shearwater in the condo is a salute to the shearwater sanctuary established adjacent the beach.

There is a new Sealy Posturepedic king-sized bed, purchased in July 2021.

Our condo has been upgraded with fast internet.

To get you through the first few days, each party is supplied with a starter-pack of laundry soap, dish soap, a sponge, shower toiletries, toilet paper, and paper towel at check-in.

From this ground floor condo, you can walk out from your lanai to the wide open manicured tropical grounds, the pool, the BBQ station or Kamaole III beach and park. The grounds also include a second swimming pool and tennis courts.

The BBQ grills are cleaned every morning by the HOA.

Security guards' first order of business is the 9PM closure of the outdoor swimming pools. Quiet time.

We call our beach condo Cloud Maui because it is where we have that On Cloud Maui feeling.
