Everything we needed was on property and the staff was great. Also, walkable to local stores and occasional beachfront market. Absolutely ideal for families. We will be back.
The location could not have been better. The property however does need some maintenance around the shutters, the AC system and how difficult it is to operate. The bathroom which is shared does not lock and our toddler kept opening it while we were using it. They need to make sure you can lock your doors and all it takes is one attempt to open specially if you’re sharing a single bathroom. Other than that we appreciated the convenience of being so close to the pool and beach
We stay at the Honua Kai every time we visit Maui. This room was perfect for my family of four. It was close to the pool, market Duke’s restaurant and ocean. The property management is great. We had no issues during our stay. We will stay here again next year!
The condo could not have been more perfect for our family. It was clean and comfortable, the staff was lovely, the check in/out process was easy. The AC wasn’t working when we arrived which we didn’t realize until later in the evening. We called and they had someone there first thing to fix it and we didn’t have any other issues through out the entire trip. The resort itself was meticulously maintained and the pools were so fun for all of my kids (which is tough to accomplish as they range in age from 1 -14). The condo was stocked with beach chairs, beach toys, and an umbrella which were all super helpful. The snorkeling directly in front of the hotel was the most incredible part. We saw countless tropical fish and sea turtles!! It was the most wonderful family vacation and we can’t wait to return.
We love our stay at honua kai perfect for our family with little kids. My 4 yr old loves the pools and hot tubs. It’s close to whalers village and grocery stores. We stayed on lower level and enjoyed our view and big space for kids to play around. Overall we love our Time and will recommend it
Great location on the property. We loved being on a big, grassy field for the kids to run around and play catch. Nightly susnsets on the beach were a highlight, as were morning walks on the walking path.
Unit it conveniently located close to the gym and lobby, but also a quick walk to the pools and ocean. The condo was comfortable for our group of 7.
Update the TV’s to smart TV’s for at night with the kids and family’s. Other than that everything was great! Thank you
Our family really enjoyed this unit and staying at Honua Kai. Property managers were wonderful in communicating with us and everything was as described. The unit is great for a larger family, thanks to the bunk beds. The Honua Kai provided everything we needed in a resort. We hope to come again soon! Mahalo!
