Experience spinner dolphins, sea turtles, hump-back whales (in winter), manta rays, amazing fish and coral reefs at pristine Kealakekua Bay, a protected marine sanctuary.

Enjoy glorious sunsets through the palm fronds from the lanai or walk a few steps to the bay for your photos.
At Manini beach find excellent snorkeling and small sandy pools for little children. We have a one-man kayak and a one-man SUP/kayak combo for our guest’s use and a good variety of snorkel gear in many sizes. The shady park with picnic tables will keep everyone happy for hours! Come back to the house and consider using the outdoor shower to rinse off sand and sea water, pick some fruit from the trees, then relax on the private, covered second story lanai.
This spacious and airy home sleeps seven comfortably with large screened windows, high ceilings and overhead fans in every room. The decor is laid back Hawaiian from days gone by. Walls are decorated with local artwork as well as art collected in the South Pacific in the 1960s and more recently the Cook Islands.

There is a desk and office chair in the nook off the living room. Feel free to use the 25” wide monitor, full size keyboard, mouse and docking station.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, newly remodeled private bath and an adjoining sleeping porch with a twin bed.
The hall bedroom ("hula room") has a queen-size bed and adjoining updated bath that also opens to the hall. The third bedroom ("bird room") has twin beds.
Prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen or fire up the charcoal grill downstairs near the fruit trees. Sleep with the sound of the ocean in your ears and wake to the riotous songs of birds outside your window. Feed the birds each morning and enjoy the show while you sip your coffee.
The Bay and the village of Napo'opo'o are unlike any you will find in the islands. The area is a quiet village with no condos, hotels, stores, or crowds. All shopping and dining are located 4 miles up the hill in Captain Cook or in the other local villages of Kealakekua and Kainaliu Town. Coolers are available at the front door and in the downstairs laundry area to keep your food purchases fresh.
The lot is quite large for the area, with papaya, grapefruit, soursop, tangerine, lime, lemon, star fruit, banana and mango trees. Feel free to help yourselves to the bounty. There is also a fruit and banana bread stand down the street.

Very comfortable place, a sort walk from the local beach or a five minute drive to fantastic snorkeling at Two Step. Quiet neighborhood. We’ll be back!

Very impressed with this property! The house was spacious enough for our group of six people but had places to spend quiet time alone as well! The fruit trees were a great bonus, nothing like cooking with limes picked minutes before! The house was spotless and very welcoming. There was everything we could want for snorkeling and the house was VERY well equipped with the essentials and it just made for the perfect vacation spot. Snorkeling at Two steps was the best I have ever seen! We didn’t get to kayak because the water was rough while we were there. Thank you for opening your home to us and making us have a great vacation!

Just what we were looking for to bring our family together for the holidays. Many options for hiking, water activities, and excellent dining. We loved our stay.

House was excellent for a group of people. Very quiet neighborhood with a short walk to ocean. Great snorkeling in the bay. House was very comfortable to hang out. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for 6. Owner was excellent in communications.

Except for the frogs. Location was a bit of a drive to Kona but was told that from the beginning. It was not as easy to get to the beach to go snorkeling.
