You'll love exploring the area and its many significant Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of what is now the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
People and cruise ship watch from the Kailua-Kona Pier, where you'll have access to Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Visit the famous farmers market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee. Large well appointed 2 bedroom condo with fantastic ocean views. Really enjoyed the views of waves and surfers through the living room window. Also, a great location to explore the Big Island from. Stayed two weeks March 2024.

We loved the view and having surfers to watch. Room had everything we needed. Only disappointing item was the hot tub. It is too small for a resort this size and the heater didn't work correctly. Also, several of the jets don't work. Pool was nice and refreshing. We'll always remember sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean. We're already talking about visiting this place in the future.

We were thrilled by the amazing VRBO rental. It is in a perfect location over looking the ocean. We had a front row seat of world class surfers, whales and jaw dropping sunsets. Every amenity is available. It is well organized and clean. The management crew was prompt with a small problem with the garbage disposal. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the casual public beach right next door!

Beautiful place to wake up to every morning and enjoy the spectacular views and return to after a busy day to breath taking sunsets! There was one maintenance problem with a broken garbage disposal and outlet.

We loved our week stay. The view is incredible. We would go out to eat early so that we could be back "home" on our lanai for the amazing sunsets. We had the patio doors open (screens closed) most of the time and enjoyed hearing the waves crashing and the lovely cross breeze. We didn't need to use the air conditioning once. It was fun to watch the surfers out front and they go from sunrise to sunset. The condo is comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the pool a couple of times. We hope to be back soon.

The views from the balcony and living window were amazing. Watched the sunset, saw whales and turtles and of course the daily surfers. Unit was well equipped with beach items. Kitchen was well appointed as well. Would definitely consider returning to this Unit

We really loved staying here. It has all the amenities listed and was very clean. The entire property is well maintained and secure. If you want to sit on the lanai and watch whales, surfers and sunsets book now! We will be back soon!

This was a beautiful property, nicely updated and well equipped with anything we needed (maybe mention on the site that the beach chairs are in the bedroom closet). The view can't be beat!! Hands down, the nicest VRBO we have stayed at.

We loved this condo. The location is so amazing and it is chock full of amenities. The pool location was amazing (could be warmer). Sunsets on the wrap around lanai were the highlight of our day. The kictchen had everything we needed. There were tons of beach supplies. The access to the neach next door was so nice. Our host Tracy was so kind, responsive and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was some presense of rust and mildew which irritated our allergies. For others it may not be an issue.

Wonderful home, perfect for just hanging out,watching waves, surfers,sunsets,sunrises,star gazing,bird listening.
Perfect as a home base if you want to explore.
Snorkeling,swimming,town all within walking distance,trolley,grab bikes.
House supplied with everything and organized.
Tracy went above and beyond bringing a coffee grinder for our Kona coffee after one at the condo gave up the ghost.
I would give this place 100+ if I could.

This is a lovely apartment with comfortable furnishings. Having breakfast while watching the early morning surfers was a great way to start the day and the sunsets the best way to end it. Be aware that there is no AC in the main bedroom and it can get a little stuffy. Seriously, that was barely an issue and our stay was wonderful. If we make it back to Big Island again, we'd definitely stay here again.
