- unparalleled views right out the window of active whales (late February)
- clean, cozy new remodeled apartment
- food trucks & amenities within walking distance
- the negatives were: (1) incorrect keycode was given initially, but resolved within a couple minutes and (2) the bathroom smelt heavily of sewage for a few hours toward the end of our stay but that was remedied by turning the air ventilation on.

This is the perfect spot for an awesome getaway. The condo has everything we needed. Toaster, coffee pot, beach chairs, even a cooler to use while here. There are extra blankets if you get cold, there are even spices if you wish to cook on the stove, or grill located by the pool.
In summary, for us….this place was perfect. A huge plus is that it is literally right on the water.

My husband and I absolutely loved this property! Could not get any better views or closer to the water than the Maui Kai. We saw sea turtles every day and whales on multiple days we were there. The room was very clean and exactly as shown on the listing. Very quiet and peaceful environment. Great amenities including the pool, game room, access to laundry, full kitchen and very friendly staff. If we come back to Maui, we won’t look any further than the Maui Kai!

Our vacataion rental was the most beautiful place we have stayed. It was private, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots pans, plates, cups, cleaning supplies, silverware etc.. perfect. The view is 100 times as beautiful in person.

Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids for 7 days. The oceanfront views are spectacular and can't be beat! We were able to see sea turtles swimming around on our last day. The pool is small but quiet. Our daughter had the pool to herself one night. We met with some friends who stayed at the Westin Nanea which was a nice 7-10 minute walk along the boardwalk. Food trucks are nearby which is a plus. We loved the fully stocked kitchen. The brita water filter was a nice surprise. We used it to make our coffee every morning and for ice. One thing that did not make sense to us is that the sofa bed was placed in the lanai which made it unusable because 1.) the lanai is full of furniture which meant moving things around and 2.) the AC does not turn on if the doors leading to the lanai are closed due to a sensor. This means that whoever is sleeping in the lanai will have no AC. I can see how this would appeal to those who want the natural sound of the ocean while they sleep but for us it was too hot. If the sofa in the unit was also a sofa bed this would give maximum flexibility. One other minor annoyance is that the main bed was really squeaky on certain spots.

I have to admit, walking up at dark I was a little reluctant. Then opening up the front door I was wrong. The place was amazing!!! I am so thankful for an amazing place my family and I could enjoy!!! The beach chairs were amazing it was so clean and I slept on the lanai all week… so relaxing and peaceful
