This unit was absolutely lovely. I’m familiar with Pono Kai, so I appreciated that part, but Stephanie and Steven have done a stellar job renovating this unit to make it bright and cheerful — and making sure their guests would be comfortable and have things they’d need (beach toys, chairs, umbrella, etc).
Stunning view! Property well cared for and unit is clean comfortable and well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
Ocean/beach views were AMAZING! Perfect location to experience all that Kauai has to offer.

Excellent location, condo well renovated and clean. It Was our second Year in a row Staying in thé same unit.The only thing is our top neighbourg were hard walking on our head. Could be difficult to fixed.
This is our second time staying here. The location is great - centrally located between the north and south sides allowing for easy drives to all activities. The view from the property is beautiful and the beach is just steps away! The hosts were communicative and prompt with responses.
My 3rs visit to island and while Kauai may have some larger resorts, this place was a total steal, especially for the breathtaking oceanfront view. Waking up to that view every morning was truly a highlight of the trip – it was absolutely gorgeous!The location is also fantastic. It's just a 15-minute drive from the airport, so getting there was super convenient. Plus, all the best restaurants and shopping spots are within walking distance, making it really easy to explore the area.Overall, I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a perfect balance of stunning views, a prime location, and great value. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!
The Condo was as advertised and more, listened to the ocean every night.
We loved staying at Pono Kai…the oceanfront condo gave us endless soothing wave sounds and daily amazing sunrises…the grounds are gorgeous and the condo had absolutely everything we could need. We cooked several meals and had all we needed…even an amazing blender to make smoothies from our leftover fruit before we left!We highly recommend d this property and thank the owners for being so responsive…

We spent 8 wonderful days on Kauai in this beautiful condo and absolutely loved it! The view from the lanai is incredible and the sunrises each morning were stunning! It was a great place and truly a home away from home. The condo is centrally located with many great places to walk to, as well as a great path along the ocean that we walked on each day. Stephanie was great with communication and addressed a small issue immediately when contacted. It’s easy to see why this place is so highly rated! Mahalo for an unforgettable dream vacation!

We felt like "VIPs" as my granddaughter said. It is fresh & beautiful with a beachy vibe and spectacular views of the ocean. This was our second trip to Kauai, but the absolute best time because we were so comfortable in our home away from home! Kapaa is a perfect location & we went all over the island easily. So grateful for this place & its owners!

The owners had great communication. The condo matched the photos perfectly. The resort itself was very nice, everyone was helpful and considerate. Plenty of activities to do. Highly recommended. We're going to stay here again if we come back to the east coast of Kauai.

This condo was clean and well furnished. We especially loved the view of the ocean from the lanai. When the sun was out the sunrise was beautiful.
Location of the resort made it easy to get around the island. We enjoyed the walking path on the ocean to go to the Olympic Cafe (great restaurant) and shopping in downtown Kapaa.
We really enjoyed this location and the condo. It was perfect location for swimming in the ocean.
Unit very well updated. Ocean front with very nice view.
Kitchen well equipped, we had everything we needed.
We do recommend this rental. We may come back next Year.
We loved being in an oceanfront corner unit! The early morning sunrises were so special with the waves crashing sound. Unit was spotless and well equipped. Pono Kai has nice grounds and enjoyed using the hot tub in the evenings. We also enjoyed walking on the path in front of the unit. Very convenient to restaurants and shops.
Amazing view, great decor, new appliances, comfortable mattress. Convenient location to walking and bike bath, restaurants, beach and shops.
Property was as described. The view off the lanai was amazing. Sunrises second to none! Excellent midway point for the whole island. We rented e-bikes just up the bike path twice to view our favorite coastline. Laundry on the first floor next to the elevator made it easy to carry our wash down. I was so happy to discover the beach out front is swimmable, not all resorts along the Kapaa area are but this one is. I highly recommend Pono Kai, nice, helpful staff, the grounds are well manicured and there are grills dotted around the property that are kept very clean. All and all a great experience. If I stay there again we will get a third floor apartment.
Lovely oceanfront condo. Well stocked, very clean.
But, no A/C in bedroom which is the only place that needs it! Otherwise, window must be kept open & people walk by & look right into the bedroom.
Unfortunately, walls are so thin we listened to stomping & running above us the whole time.
We absolutely loved staying here and plan to come back. It was quiet and clean. The property grounds were well maintained with barbecue and picnic tables. The ocean was beautiful right off the balcony. The sun rose straight out in front of the unit. The kitchen is well equipped. Location was perfect, walk to everything. Can’t say enough good things about it.
