This place is pretty basic. Old building, old room. Air conditioning works but has to work pretty hard. Nothing is restocked for you even toilet paper. The front desk was not super helpful or friendly. The bar in the hotel is LGBTQ.. so not what I expected. Location is GREAT. If you don’t need fancy and spend your time out all days it’s a good enough place to lay your head. Not super clean.. moldy caulking but nothing terrible. Window out to alley.. so very noisy early morning with garbage service banging dumpsters.

The suite was as expected and in a great location- very walkable. It was well equipped and the building was in good condition.

Awesome condo. We had a wonderful stay. The staff and concierge service was out standing. If we return to Waikiki we will be staying at the Waikiki Grand again no doubt. The room was perfect for 2. We really enjoyed being able to cook some of our meals in the room. Having groceries delivered was a bonus. We highly recommend this VRBO!!!

This hotel is in a fabulous spot - across the street from the Honolulu Zoo and ample permit parking, half a block from the beach.

Hi Mark ..Good accomm/n ceiling fan remote not functioning reported to reception but not attended to. Did not use air con preferring ceiling fan however the light could not be turned off. TV remote had no batteries. Desk was helpful providing new batteries. We were unable to use the hot plates as we are unfamiliar . instructions for hot plates/tv remotes/ would be beneficial.. Some desk staff very good. One guy less so.

Jonathan at the front desk was amazing! Everything from shopping to restaurants was within walking distance and the Zoo is right across the street. One little issue was the internet was spotty but who goes to Waikiki to sit in the room on the internet? We will definitely book this room again.

The Waikiki Grand Hotel has great history and is located at a perfect location. But as soon as you pass the lobby, the rooms are not reflecting the 'grand hotel' feeling.
It looks like the Waikiki Grand Hotel sold their appartments to private investors that do the minimum to continue the business. The best-seller is their location for an affordable price.

Wow! Exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend. Sun deck overlooks the zoo/park - great for morning coffee. Three minutes to the beach. Multiple great casual restaurants within a 10 minute walk or less. So happy we booked this studio!!!!

There were 2 chairs, an umbrella, and a boogie board for us to use which was perfect. The property is located across the street from the zoo and close to convenient stores, restaurants, and bars. The rooftop deck had great views of the zoo and diamond head. We would stay here again if we returned to Waikiki.

There isn’t a view so if you wanted that, this is not the location for you. The location was next to the zoo, which is at the East end of Waikiki, and we liked it because it wasn’t crowded. We would reserve the same location in the future if we return.
