Nice grounds with parking and easy to get to the nearby beach, restaurants. Roomy and smelled clean when checked in. Unfortunately one cockroach found the next morning next to the shower and another one five days later at the same spot. Otherwise really enjoy the place with very pleasant decoration and furniture!
Our 4th Stay at the Hale Kam Complex: And as always it's a great location; beautifully maintained yards; friendly landscape crews; pool is well maintained; easy walk to restaurants, beach, trails, and launch ramp. 167, however did not quite come up to par. Very gracious snack basket; fabulous closet with coolers, beach towels, toys, boards, etc. great tv's; kitchen fairly well appointed and supplied with basics; shower was great! However, the unit itself is aged, dark, and in need of some real TLC.
Location was fantastic, with great amenities. Short walk across the street to beautiful beaches, comfortable condo. We had a few roaches, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay immensely!
Cockroaches scuttling around at night, killed 5 in total. Unit could use some tlc but the location can’t be beat.
I grew up coming to Maui and this is a wonderful location. Our condo was amazing. I will say only had 2 problems. On the Vacasa portal, it’s said there was a surfboard in the condo that we had access to. However we looked all over and did not find one. We found a skim board which is very different. We also planned a whole part of our trip to do surf lessons and we’re really banking on this aspect. When we discovered that there was no surfboard we had to make different arrangements. This did not ruin our trip, but it did change what we had planned.
Also we found a total of 5 cockroaches in the condo. This was pretty gross, thankfully they were only on the floor and they were dying. I’m guessing this condo was sprayed recently and that’s why this was happening. We were only there for 4 & a half days. Vacasa was very helpful, they dropped off traps after we told them, but we were already leaving the next day.
