Property was as described in listing. The deck area was a little dirty with bird action, but manageable. Great location and great access to facilities. Would stay here again for sure!
Room had everything we needed and the sunrise view every morning was fantastic! Loved the pools and resort amenities. Having a great walking beach directly accessible from the nicely maintained property was a huge bonus. Great central location to take day trips from and see every part of the island.
Nice ocean view and clean room. The bed was comfortable, the larger refrigerator was appreciated, the key/wristbands were convenient, the telescoping shutters on the sliding lanai doors added privacy, and the large beach towels in addition to the bath towels were appreciated. This was our 4th trip to Kauai and second to this property and the amount of garbage and homeless individuals on the beach all the way north past the golf course was disgusting! It was heartbreaking to see! improvements to the room could include: garbage disposal service, a fan in the bathroom, an ice bucket
This property is privately owed and slightly separate from the Outrigger Resort. While it is on the same property, it only runs through the resort. There is full access to the amenities offered at the resort but the resort doesn’t allow cooking in the apartments. So there isn’t anything to cook with, not even a microwave in the room. There is a microwave on the 5th floor lobby that guests can use but that’s it. Guests can pay 30/meal at the buffet inside the resort. The property is beautiful with many options for those with kiddos or just as couples. Have it less than 5 star only due the listing isn’t clear on no cooking or microwaving in the room. Would rent again
Check in was easy and quick. Room was as described and was great for a quick trip for the holidays. Having to pay extra for parking was annoying and on late evenings there was no parking spaces available, but the valet service was so accommodating and helpful with parking our car at no extra charge. That made the parking fee worth it. Would definitely book again.
Everything was as mentioned. The grounds are amazing. There is a sandy area along the beach, but not swimmable. Resort is within 30 minutes of Northside as well as Westside.
All was as described in the listing. The room photo is spot on. We ate a couple of times on the property. The food was good
Parking is $35 a day. Self park is right there
Checkout is at 10 am. Took a few tries to find where to dump our garbage

Great location on the island and awesome access to the Outrigger resort amenities. Perfect for our honeymoon.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Kauia Beach resort, room 330. The room was nicely furnished and we loved our balcony overlooking the pool area and ocean. The grounds were beautifully manicured and the pool and hot tub area was amazing. Even though the beach wasn't called a swimming beach, we found it lovely for a stroll along the beach! However, I wished we would have had more towels allotted for a seven night stay.
It's a great place to stay. Amazing view from the room. The room was great. No complaints there. The resort could use a renovation. The roof leaked bad in the hallways when it rained. Lot of broken tiles around the pool.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was fairly basic but the resort was quite lovely and we enjoyed the mile of walkable beach. The location was perfect, just outside of Kappa’a which we loved and not too far from either coasts!

Overall the stay was nice- beautiful view, great location on the resort.
We ran short on toilet paper and kleenex fairly quickly but Steve had some delivered by the end of the day. We wished the fridge was a little bigger but we made due.
There were a few maintenance issues that we made Steve aware of. Hopefully he gets the lamps and door knob fixed before the next renter comes in.
We would stay again.
I really like being in the "middle" of the island with easy access to both sides.

Staff is friendly. The resort is very well maintained. The day after Thanksgiving the housekeeping group had the Christmas trees up.

When we arrived (after traveling for 20+ hours) the room had not been cleaned from the last guests. I used the only number provided on the listing AND texted within the VRBO app to get assistance. After multiple calls resulting in a beeping sound (indicating calls were not going through) I asked the front desk to check for another number. They did not have an alternate number, so I asked them to try the number provided. Same result. We booked a room at the resort for the night and began first thing in the morning trying to contact the host again. VRBO customer service finally reached the owner of the unit and the owner then called the agent. The agent called me (around 8am) questioned my check-in date, realized he had the date wrong and then told me he would have the room ready in TWO hours. I was skeptical as the room was a disaster, and the toilet was broken. I told the agent that I needed to hear back by 11 o’clock so that I could tell the front desk if I was going to check out or if I was going to extend my stay in the regular room I had booked the night before out of necessity. Two hours passed and I heard nothing. About five minutes before we needed to let the front desk know what we were doing, I messaged the owner and the agent asking if the room was ready and was told that it would be another 45 minutes. At that point I was very frustrated at the poor communication and empty promises of having the room ready within a certain time so I canceled and requested a refund.
We were so lucky to have found this place on VRBO. We have stayed at the Kauai Beach Resort numerous times so imagine how happy we were to find a private room! The facilities and amenities are wonderful and the property owner was so easy to work with. Definitely will be coming back again!

There is small refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker, but no cooking facilities. There is a restaurant in the facility and good restaurants in the area. There are several beautiful pools and you can walk miles along the beach.
The location is good and helps avoid the horrible Kapaa traffic if you stay south. It is only about 10 minutes from the airport.

Actual unit needs some maintenance. Closet doors don’t slide, patio doors very difficult to slide. Toilet not attached to floor well, bathroom light fixture missing, no bathroom fan, no bathroom rug makes getting out of shower dangerous!
