The only reason we are down grading the property is due to the water issues. Intermittent water shut offs and no hot water for 3 days. We loved the property and hoped the water issues would resolve but unfortunately the entire complex was having issues and by the 3rd day we were desperately needing a hot shower. However the property was very nice, large kitchen with everything you would need, wonderful lanai, beautiful sunsets, nice bed and quiet. When we shared our frustration with the property manager they were more than understanding. We would definitely rent from Knutson Properties again just maybe not this complex.
This property is perfect! Although no direct beach access it has an amazing pool and sandy "beach" right on the ocean. There is a lovely lanai area with BBQs and tables near the saltwater pool. The condo itself was clean and well appointed in the kitchen as well as snorkeling and beach gear. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is ideal as well

Exceeding my expectations! Beautifully remodeled and the shower is amazing! It really is like a spa massage all in a shower! Private beach and saltwater pool on the ocean is mesmerizing with the ocean waves crashing in. Sunsets are great from here as well! Well equipped to make your stay very comfortable. Comfy bed. Gated community and very quiet. Our last night we had rainbow on one side of us and sunset on the other. We found a quiet little spot around the corner from the pool that was perfect. Celebrated the end of our 4@ year anniversary trip here.

The property management is very communicative and helpful! They checked in to see how things were going and responded immediately. I highly recommend this spacious 1-bedroom condo. It has a huge lanai that offers a peek-a-boo view of the ocean - you're close enough to hear the waves and see a few too. The oceanfront saltwater pool was our favorite. There's a little "nook" off to the left of the pool that we dubbed "Mermaid's Cove" as we liked to lay on our beach chairs there and stare at the ocean's beauty. We saw a baby whale splashing off in the distance, which was magical.Highly recommend this property to those who are looking for peace & quiet (quiet times are enforced from 10pm-8am). I will say my 8-year-old daughter was one of the louder people at the pool(s) as it seems to be largely an older group of folks that either reside there for part of the year or visit for long periods of time.

From the moment we walked in, we were very pleased with how it looked in comparison to the photos, very accurate, and such a cozy, cute place! The linens were very soft and clean, each room tidy and relaxing. The appliances were top notch, and we enjoyed how how many items were available in the kitchen for cooking your own meals. We LOVED the fact that Casa De Emdeko has a saltwater pool as well as a regular pool for lounging outside, as well as a place to enjoy the waves and sunsets. It's a very convenient location, and it's great that there's a mini mart around the corner for necessities. Also can't thank Knutson & Associates enough for their top tier communication and care and concern for their guests. We WILL be back! Mahalo nui loa!

When planning our trip to Kona, we chose Casa De Emdeko based on the photos and description. Both represent the condo and property truely. For a family of three, this condo was perfect and felt like home away from home. We enjoyed the spacious lanai to eat breakfast and relax. Everything was clean ready for us upon check in. Knutson & Associates Property Management were readily available via text or call to help out with any questions, needs, or concerns. The condo is close to downtown Kona and right on the ocean. Most of the Big Island has lava/shoreline, and Casa De Emdeko is on such a shoreline. But they have created a nice sandy beach under palm trees to relax at, and an awesome saltwater pool right along the shoreline to swim in. If the ocean has large enough swells, waves can crash into the edge of the pool which is fun! There is a sandy beach 3 miles south of Casa de Emdeko that is great for boogie boarding and diving under waves before they crash on shore (Magic Sands Beach). Great snorkeling at Kahalu'u Beach Park is just a few minutes further down the road (Ali'I Dr.). To the north are great sandy beachs about a 30- 60 minute drive in the Kohala resort areas. I would definitely recommend staying here as a home base for checking out all the Big Island has to offer or as a place to just stay local near Kona and relax. Oh,and the manta ray night snorkel, Pu'uhonua o Honaunau NHP, and Volcanos NP are must see while on the Big Island. If you have little ones and want a calm beach try 'A'opio Beach (accessed via a short trail from Honokohau Harbor).
Our family loved everything about this stay! The community was quiet & serene. And very friendly neighbors & staff too.

We found the condo to be well maintained and completely stocked with everything we needed and expected. The lanai was setup was convenient. The TVs were large with great reception. The whole condo was immaculately clean when we arrived and there were all the necessary cleaning supplies included. The kitchen was well laid out and stocked with everything we needed. We loved the shower in the bathroom. It was enormous, with a river rock bottom, a large seat under the showers, 6 nozzles to spray from all imaginal directions. The controls were digital, so that you could set the temperature and flow rates and temperatures that you preferred, and get them every time when you turned it on.And, Knutsons continued to offer needed instructions or help, whenever I needed it.
Fantastic unit. Everything available in the kitchen. Quiet! Clean.
