By the Sea Villa is a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom home that sleeps 6. This is a ground floor unit with a nice grassy yard off the lanai, surrounded by tropical greenery and with an excellent view of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course, and a glimpse of the ocean in the distance.

The spacious open-concept main living area seamlessly blends the kitchen, dining space, great room, and a covered lanai with a built-in grill. A $25 per night fee per group grants you access to the spectacular Hali'i Kai Ocean Club, just a short walk from the villa. This oceanfront paradise boasts a tiered saltwater lagoon-style pool with cascading waterfalls, a rejuvenating spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with stunning ocean views. For a convenient and tasty meal, the Ocean Club Bar and Grill is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The required fee is payable at the Hali'i Kai office upon check-in.
The resort has two world-class golf courses and there is a tennis court in the community. Guests staying at By the Sea Villa enjoy a golf discount to the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course.

Things to do
Within the Waikoloa Beach Resort you'll find the white sand A-Bay (Anaeho'omalu Bay) beach. A short drive away are a dozen of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea beach.
The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa.
Minutes away are the Kings Shops and the Queens Shops where you can find supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings.

Hali'i Kai is a beautiful, quiet destination for a family getaway. The By The Sea villa is well located within the property, has lovely views, and is a short walk from the pool and fitness center. We visited during high season and so found it challenging to find enough seating at the pool, but it was still a far better experience than a crowded resort. We spotted whales daily from the pool deck, and it is a great location for enjoying the sunset. We would visit again, and would recommend it to family and friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hali’ Kai. The condo was well equipped and spacious. The beds were comfortable! The garage even had tons of stuff for kids activities including bikes and boogie boards and snorkels. The pool was awesome and we enjoyed several sunset there. We’d stay there again for sure!

We walked the ocean path to the Hilton most mornings, drove to Hapuna beach for boogie boarding and cooked meals every day. The unit had most everything needed. Be aware that the bikes look better than they are though. The gated community is a nice size for a quick walk. The pool area is lovely and a big draw — we had lunch there one day and it was something we would do again. If the places we have stayed at in Waikoloa general area it was the best mix of location and age of unit we have found. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful condo. Could see both the sunset and the "sunrise" (sun over the mountain) from the Lanai. Very clean, nice appliances, comfortable couch, nice TV. Easy walking distance to the pool area and the Hilton's pool area. Good kitchen with plenty of plates, utensils, blender, etc. Full size washer and dryer.
The two main things that we didn't like were the bed in the master bedroom and the Lanai light. The bed felt really soft and my wife could feel the springs. She ended up sleeping in one of the other beds for a few of the nights because the master bed made her back hurt. I don't think we would stay here again unless the bed is replaced.
The Lanai light was out for our entire trip. To the owner's credit they did get someone out there quickly when I informed them that the light was out to replace it. Turns out that it was a problem with the fixture and it would take time to receive the parts to fix it. I was bummed because I was looking forward to eating dinner outside. I live someplace cold so I will not be able to eat outside until sometime in May.

The property is on the golf course, and the sunset views were amazing. The air conditioning was cold, too. Our only small complaint would be that the DVD player wasn’t working, and we had hopes for a movie night.

I had been planning this trip for a long time and was truly looking forward to my time here. 1st upon arrival right off airplane, I was informed of problem with refrigerator. Replacement fridge was unclean upon arrival (had to clean night of arrival), it didn't fit in kitchen, had no ice or filtered water for entire week. 2. Upon arrival master bed had dried up urine on bed, so we had to change all bedding and wash that night and next day. 3. 2nd bedroom bed was broken at head of bed, bed was angled forward at head. Had to flip everything around for my child to be able to sleep. 4th Problem: Master bed was rock hard, husband with bad back slept on couch entire trip, extra blankets had blood stains on it. 5th issue: there were ants in house (all in living room). Company came out but still next day (after they came out) my daughter woke up to and crawling on her bed (bedroom 3). Showers were stuck upon arrival had to yank really hard to get them to go but once we did that they were fine. Despite all of the extra cleaning I had to do on my arrival (and throughout the week long vacation) I was still charged the cleaning fee (which I feel should have been reimbursed or some money reimbursed for the unclean establishment). Finally I left my sandals outside per request of owner, and local birds picked at them and ruin my shoes, had to go out and purchase another pair. We also had an extra guest in the house, a gecko that we could not catch to put it outside. This was supposed to be my family's dream vacation, instead i just spent half of my time cleaning this unclean property just to be able to stay here, since there were no refunds. I explained all of this to owners while vacationing, not much they were able to do. The overall place Hali'i Kai is beautiful. I suggest booking through them directly.
