This recently remodeled 1bd/1ba penthouse (PH 25 on the 6th floor) in the Mill building at Sugar Beach Resort is beachfront with direct ocean views as soon as you walk in the door. You can whale watch from the lanai or take an easy elevator ride to the first floor where you can walk the 7-mile beach, swim in the pool, relax in the jetted spa, barbecue on the grills, putt golf balls, or lounge in the resort-provided chaise lounge chairs overlooking the sandy beach and staring at the beautiful blue water of the Pacific ocean.
The space:
The living room has wide opening sliding glass doors and screen doors to allow for indoor/outdoor living. There is a 65-inch Samsung TV with basic cable, a Bose Wave Music System, high-speed Internet with WiFi, and a variety of books, games, cards, and even some recipe books to enjoy the taste of Maui. The sofa has a pull-out bed which is ideal for children but may not be appropriate for adults.
There is central air conditioning that will automatically shut off to conserve energy when the doors are open.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, wine glasses, coffee mugs, Mr. Coffee coffee maker, Ninja blender, 4 slice bagel/bread toaster, pots/pans, rice cooker, cooking utensils, cutlery, cookie sheets, storage containers, aluminum foil and saran wrap. The refrigerator does not have an ice maker, but there are ice trays and an ice container in the bottom drawer freezer.
There is a cooler onsite with ice packs in the freezer to chill sandwiches and drinks while at the beach. Four beach towels have been provided. Snorkel and other beach accessories can be rented at the shop onsite.
There is a safe in the master bedroom. Shutters keep the bedroom dark and private. The master bedroom can be locked off from the bathroom so if guests are sleeping on the sleeper sofa, they can use the bathroom without disturbing occupants in the master bedroom. The shower stall and toilet are in a separate room with a pocket door to separate it from the vanity for added privacy.
There is a stackable washer and dryer conveniently located in a hall closet. Cleaning supplies are onsite which includes a broom, mop, dustpan, pail, duster, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, surface cleaner, soft cleanser, and mirror cleaner.
Guest access:
You will have private access to the condo and use of the common areas, including a gated pool and Jacuzzi, and beach access.

We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach Resort.
The view from the lanai was gorgeous, especially at sunset. The condo had everything we needed for a great stay.

The view is spectacular. The condo included many amenities that we did not anticipate like beach toys, chairs, sunscreen. and other useful items. The pool is nice and the other guests are amiable. I recommend water shoes for the beach. Overall the condo gets a top rating from us.

Nice, comfortable condo with a great lanai overlooking Sugar Beach. A wonderful spot to enjoy morning coffee and sunset with fav beverage, as well as easy access to take a stroll on the beach. Resort is a quick 20 minutes from airport, easy access to Kihei and points south where we spent the bulk of our time.
Owners were quick to reply and answered all questions. There were beach chairs and a cooler which we used. Kitchen fully stocked. Great internet for iPads, cable tv was so so. Watch the fees if shopping around, they were 60% of advertised price for us. Still, we enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Outside of building looks old. But the PH Apt has been nicely remodeled. Very quiet inside. The grounds are very clean. Pool is nice. Super easy beach front access. Felt very private. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our condo was super clean with modern amenities and easy check in/out process. We enjoyed sitting on the nice lanai watching the beautiful ocean. We plan on coming back in the future and trying to stay in this condo!

We had the most wonderful week here! Every morning we’d watch the whales from our lanai. It never got old! Great pool area, and great sandwiches at Dina’s! Quiet condo community away from all the busy hotels. Kitchen was fully stocked for making breakfast or lunch. Condo is perfect for 2 people! Just gorgeous!

The condo was great just as advertised. Location location is everything and this place has it closes to all sections of the island. Spent a lot of time on the lanai watching the whales bring you binoculars.
