Absolutely perfect for our 1 family with kids, grandparent, and great-grandparent trip. 3 bedrooms plus the loft area with 2 beds for the kids. Clean, well provisioned, and beautiful view off the deck. Would definitely return!
Loved the enormous shared pool as well as the easy access to Anini, the Westin Starbucks, the park and the grocery store. Staying in this charming condo, it’s possible to enjoy Princeville and Hanalei without a car.
Management/property managers were non existent when issues came up immediately after arrival. You are forced to speak with someone from another country who owns this rental from a mother company. They therefore are not interested in resolving anything. Conflicting information about parking. We spent an hour on the phone explaining that all of their literature says ample free parking but they refused to give us more than one parking pass. There was no working stovetop upon arrival. The presence of a hot plate meant they were aware that our party of EIGHT didn’t have a working stovetop and that we were expected to use that hot plate instead, for cooking all of our meals. Missing smoke detectors. One was randomly placed on dresser. Bbq grill was full of grease and hadn’t been cleaned in months, which lead to a very dangerous situation when we lit it. Photos in ad show different furniture that was not present in unit. Consistent stream of water leaking from downstairs guest bathtub faucet. During a time of water conservation and regulation on Kauai. We saw no one during our time here. No one came to check or fix anything. Even after one employee said someone was coming to look at the stove. We saw no one and nothing was fixed. Pick a different company and definitely pick a different unit. A minimal and laughable partial refund was given to us for our trouble. I’m guessing this was their version of hush money.
Clean, comfortable, and great communication!
The condo is kind of far away from the parking lot and located next to the street. We would pull up along the side of the road when we needed to load & unload the car. Then, we would park in the parking lot and walk back. We loved how spacious the condo was! There was a new, very large TV and it was located in the living room. The washer & dryer seemed new & were very nice as well. The kitchen lacked a garbage disposal and an ice maker. We purchased bags of ice from the store because there was only one tray for making ice cubes. The window coverings in the bedrooms did not provide enough privacy. We put blankets up over the windows so we could shower & change in the primary bedroom at night. Our daughter could not change in her room at night because the curtains were so sheer. Every morning, the crowing rooster would wake us up at 4:45 and the sunrise would shine directly in our faces. The beds downstairs were very comfortable but the twin beds upstairs were too springy. It would have been nice to use the beach chairs that were there but, 2 out of 3 were rusted & broken. If you have little ones, there is a porta crib, sand toys and boogie boards. There was some snorkel gear too.
The condo was really dark and did not have adequate lighting in the kitchen, dining room or great room. It made it difficult to see well at night.
Brought my daughter here in her high school graduation trip. Last family adventure before she leaves for the navy.
We loved our stay. Having the windows open to feel the breeze and hear the rain is essential HI. The place is a bit dark especially in the Kitchen. The main issue was the lack of privacy in the bedrooms due to inadequate blinds and drapes. Make sure this is fixed before renting this place.
Overall we just loved the condo and the whole area on the North Coast of Kauai.
The condo is privately owned and it hits the sweet spot where the condo has a nice personal feel but it still does not feel like you're living in somebody else's home. Big beds with comfortable mattresses, plenty of towels, and bath towels at disposal. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking at home (great local produce but not many restaurants).
The biggest plusses are the great location of the condo and the fact that is so super spacious. That to us is a true luxury when travelling with kids (they would probably rate the enormous tv very high also).
The thing we liked the least about the place is the noise of the roosters and chickens. They were crowing, sometimes it felt like all through the night. Even with earplugs they woke us up super early every morning. But this seems to be an issue everywhere on Kauai. We just did not know before coming. Coupled with the fact that most houses on Kauai seem to have blinds instead of windows on parts of the windows to let the breeze through (which is also the case of this condo), noise travels very easily.
Apart from that, our only feedback would be that proper curtains would be a great plus, especially in the downstairs bedroom where the bathroom is ensuite.
Very very spacious! The unit was a little hard to find in the dark, but it was good. There was a map in the parking lot. We found the reading materials to be very useful for finding the best snorkeling spots - Anini Beach was our favorite, it was just 10 minutes from the rental and we got to see sea turtles and fish! Perfect beach for kids. Excellent place! If I comeback, I’d want to rent this place again. Mahalo!
great location, great space.
