Had a super 8 days. Loved the little pool, nice hot tub, and fun ping pong table!
We loved listening to the ocean and watching the turtles and whales. We even saw a monk seal. The condo was perfect for two.

Beautiful condo on second floor listening to ocean waves with amazing view only found in Hawaii! We got to see whales all day long and everyday during our 7 day stay. Pack your binoculars! We also got to see turtles and snorkelled right on beach. Car stayed parked mostly as we ate at the food trucks, and local restaurants across the street along with grocery store. You are a 45 minute beach walk away from Whalers Village. We did the Old Lāhainā luau which we highly recommend.Mahalo!
Wonderful place and great vacations!Would definitely stay again at this condo.Few issues, but it didn’t affect the good experience:Fridge wasn’t working properly and we had to throw away some food. The ice-maker worked, so we managed to keep some food in ice.Beach chairs (3): 1 good, 1 partially broken, 1 broken. Parasols (2), broken. This was quite disappointing because they’re very important for this type of vacation and it costs the owner very little money to fix this.Needs a bit of renovation, specially the bathroom drawers.Beach is great, views are magnificent.
No beach and not a up to date place. Old and drafty! The inside was updated and okay! We left two nights early and stayed at another place!
The main attraction is the area itself, which is beautiful, and being there during whale migration is a special bonus. We watched them spout, rollover and occasionally breach every day. The building was quiet and we met lots of nice people in the pool area. We enjoyed the pool and spa, which were never crowded. The location is walking distance from restaurants and groceries. You can walk out the building and access the beach. The unit itself was comfortable for two people. The lanai was large and mere feet from the ocean. The lanai furniture needs replacing, as it is rusted from the salt water air. The unit was basically clean, but could use a deep cleaning. Furniture was basic but adequate, bed was comfortable, kitchen appliances worked well. Lots of available parking, which is far from the case at many other buildings in the area. Overall, the unit made a nice home base for our visit.
We arrived very late after long flight. The other guests were helpful. The condo was as promised and nice “surprise” bag with treats from our host. The waves were hitting the shore outside the place and it took some time to get accustomed to the white noice, versus the white noice of traffic in the city where I live. The lanai was wonderful and we were able to view sea turtles swimming and whales spouting. The host’s recommendations of restaurants are very good. As pictured, the beach was just a short walk down the stairs and if you walk the beach you can stop by nearby resorts and grab a bite or drink. Highly recommend. Host is incredible.
We had a great stay at Maui Kai. We like the quieter, non resort feel and this is it, with amazing water views and feet from the water. Our favorite thing about it was seeing the whales from your balcony. Bring your binoculars! Bed and Linens were very comfortable for us! Plenty of towels etc. for the two of us for the week which i’ve had trouble in some places with. Communication was good! Location is great for walking to some things or shorter drives to others.
Second time at this property and it doesn't disappoint! Couldn't ask for a better location right on the water. Beach just out the door and whale watching during the right time of year. A well stocked condo with everything you need for a low key Maui stay. Great communication with owner as well.
This studio condo had a wonderful oceanfront view and was great for the price point- the condo itself is very old and not as appealing as its neighbors - the unit was comfortable but old and a bit worn.
Great condo to rent if you want to view plenty of whale and turtle action, incredible sunsets, and lots of cafe, markets and shopping opportunities. Its got all you need for a perfect vacation location mahalo

The ocean view and sound of the waves made it hard to venture away from the condo. But when I did, shops, dining, and pristine beaches were just a short walk away.

Excellent location with a great lanai facing the ocean. Excellent for morning coffee and watching whales. Beach access and shoreside trail were right outside. Bed could have been more comfortable but otherwise nicely furnished. Kitchen was generally well furnished for a studio although could have had some basic amenities like salt/pepper. Pool/BBQ area was very nice.
The condo was a perfect place to escape the cold winter for a few days. The lanai is RIGHT on top of the ocean, we sat and watched whales swim by all day. Grocery and restaurants are walkable from the unit. All the necessities were in the unit, including towels, beach gear, kitchen implements (no spices however), and cable/wifi.
We loved it and look forward to staying again!
I got in late and I am over 65. The entrance is dark. I liked having the food trucks and grocery store within walking distance. I think the unit is good but don't look too closely at the corners and vents.
Great view, when we were there the weather didn’t cooperate. But loved sitting on patio listening to the angry ocean. Everything you need for your stay.

Our stay here was amazing. We kept the lanai doors open all night to listen to the ocean. Super easy access to the beach and everything was provided to go spend the day on the beach. Walking distance to grocery store and bars restaurants. 10/10, highly recommend!
Amazing ocean side location! The condo is basic in style but well appointed with everything 2 people need to enjoy a long weekend. The lanai is well shaded from the heat of the day yet the sunsets every evening were gorgeous. Open the doors in the evening to listen to the ocean waves crash. Walk a block down the street over to the public/beach walkway for an evening stroll or dinner and cocktails in one of the beach side restaurants on the Westin properties along the beach. Pool complex is private, quite and a perfect place to cool off after a day touring.

Perfect spot to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved the privacy and convenience of this condo. Located at the end of the Kaanapali beach walk, the area was not crowded and still a close walk to all of the restaurants and activities in the Kaanapali area. The a/c and comfy bed made our stay a restful one! Only thing that could be improved is having some better appliances in the kitchenette - particularly the toaster & coffee maker.
We enjoyed having a lanai that was on the water. We were able to walk to many places along the beach and restaurants. Sitting on the lanai and watching the sunsets as well as being able to watch turtles in the surf was amazing. We were able to use the beach chairs and towels but were disappointed that the snorkel set was missing when we stayed.
The location of the condo was perfect, in a nice quiet building right on the water. Tons of food options a short walk away. Everything was included to enjoy the beach; towels, chairs and a cooler!
