We always enjoy our stay at the Kaanapali Alii. We have never stayed in this unit, but it ranked up there with all the rest of them that we’ve stayed in. Clean, location is great. Pool area is nice. The beach is great. I love how they offer beach chairs that makes it much better sitting in the sand all day. We will be back!
Fun place to stay. The location was beautiful! We loved being so close to the beach and Whaler's village. My children loved having their own beds and bathrooms. Loved the pool and gym. There was a shuttle service van that took us to a restaurant and laua. The condo was lacking a couple of supplies such as a dishwasher detergent, travel coffee mugs and more plastic cups. We wish there was a small vacuum in the condo. There was a broom but you can't sweep sand off a rug. There was also sand in the dryer. We called the Maui Vacation Rentals and they brought over dishwasher liquid and someone to vacuum the sand. They were very responsive. There were some unforeseen issues. We checked in around 10 pm we and they could not find our reservation. It's because it was through Maui vacation rentals. The next morning we got a text saying there was a water main break and we did not have any water. We were told to use the bathrooms at the hotels next door. They fixed the water as soon as possible. Overall we enjoyed staying there.
The condo was as described, but for some reason we thought the beds in the second bedroom were qns or a queen and a full/twin. We had planned our sons sharing one bed and my daughter getting the other. It was pretty crowded.
The view if you look up, is gorgeous! The mountains are amazing and we often had a rainbow to admire. However, looking straight out, the view is of the tennis court and parking structure. Not a deal breaker, but we certainly felt like that picture of the view was a bit deceptive.
When I read the description and it said “pantry” I mistook that to mean there were some basics stocked there. Had I realized that all there would be is salt and pepper, I would have packed seasonings from home. I HIGHLY suggest bringing any seasonings you might want to cook with to save money.
We stayed for 2 weeks and were given one sponge. I believe people who stay for 1 week get a sponge and felt that it would have been fair that we would have gotten two. Suggestion-bring an extra from home.
Bowls and containers were perfect and the cookware was also nice quality and in perfect shape.
Beds were comfortable, AC was good, the primary shower was fantastic. Plenty of nice towels for showering.
We loved having the washer and it would have been awesome if there had been laundry baskets!!!

Great place in a great place! We’ve been going to the Alii for years and it never disappoints.
This is all about location, the view from your room goes over the garage and clay courts. There is some noise daily from garbage trucks and a bit of car alarm noise.
The rooms were nice and large, the water pressure in the showers is crazy strong which is great after getting out of the ocean with the sand. The location is perfect as it is really the only place that doesn't have sidewalk along the ocean so going on our early walks in the morning we didn't have to worry about walking in the sand.
The concierge was not very helpful, most of the stuff you can just book on any website. No specials offered at their desks.
If this is going to be a first trip or special trip to Hawaii I would avoid this location and get an ocean view. We have been to Hawaii dozens of times so it was nice and relaxing in the back of the building(with the exception of the garbage man daily).
There were a few socks and underwear left in the laundry room, and there was a platter that had food on it in the kitchen cupboard that we avoided. A bit more detail when cleaning would be nice..
Last thing, if you're going to give free coffee, please leave some coffee filters too.. ;)

This property was beautiful! It was also quite affordable for our family of 7. The condo came fully equipped which we greatly appreciated. My only complaint was our check in. We were not given any kind of guidance. Wasn’t aware that this place had a concierge service until the day we left. That would have been super helpful to know when we got there. Overall though, it was a wonderful place to stay. I would definitely go back.

Beautifully Decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath Unit. Updated kitchen and Bathrooms.
Quiet 5th Floor away from Pool. Each Bedroom and the Living area have individually controlled thermostats. The Kitchen is well equipped. Many on site amenities at the Ali, 2 Pools, and there is even a "quiet pool". Little perks that can matter. Down in the Pool Pavilion there have a Coffee bar setup. So if you can get a cup while on your morning stroll. Conveniently located with a short walk to Restaurants and Shopping. There is Baggage Assistance at the front desk and they will help you with your groceries to your unit.
Maui Resort Rentals manages several properties at the Ali. They are a very professional organization and offer services above that of a "Standard" Property management. The "Shuttle Service" by Maui Resort Rentals is a great convenience. At most of the local beaches parking is a EXTREME Issue. BUT!!!...The Maui Resort Rentals Shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at Most of the beaches in the Kaanapali and Napali Area. AND they will run you downtown to Lahaina. You Don't need to worry about parking or driving back to your unit after dinner.
Maui Resort Rentals stages/cleans the unit before your arrival. There are several nice small touches we noticed that you don't get with going with a "Private Owner VRBO". The Kitchen was setup with NEW Dish Soap and Sponges. ALL of the Consumables were there, Paper Towels, laundry Detergent, etc, etc. Very Often on a Private Owner VRBO these are NOT provided.
We will use Maui Resort Rentals for all of our Future Maui stays.

We went for a short family vacation. Kaanapali is a great location to start if you've never been to the island of Maui. Easy to get on the highway and get where you want to go if you want to try other places, which you do not. Grocery store is an easy 5 minutes from the property as is a small mall with ABC store and souvenirs if desired. Property is nice, BBQ's are great but can get a bit busy at peak times.

We have stayed many times at the K.Alii so we know the area is nice. This condo was in no way cleaned before we came. It's disgusting esp during covid you'd think they would make sure things were disinfected and sanitized and clean/straightened. On day 1 we were welcome to: a lot of hair on the ceiling in the master shower area, hardened gum and old used card key under couch, crooked photos over second bedroom beds (both beds!), lopsided kitchen table chandelier, only one tiny bar of soap per room (master has 2 sinks, one shower), tiny shampoo/conditioner to last one day for two people so we had to go buy more, my husband found some sort of locking mechanism on his pillow's zipper in the middle of the night which was uncomfortable, beds are uncomfortable, and then there was tons of yellow granules in the wash machine softener dispenser, which is supposed to take liquid softener. BUT THE WORST was that the dishes had not been washed thoroughly with soap in the cupboard. We found dried coffee drips on 4 coffee cups, not just the build up of stain inside, but actual drips on the rim and outside of the cups. And this is gross, we found old egg that had not been cleaned off on a skillet spoon. I ended up washing all kitchen items before we used it. Just felt with all this, what else is not clean. We knew this unit probably wouldn't have the greatest views, which is fine. It wasn't bad, just not great. The master bedroom looks out over the undercover drive where one checks in. There is a tree here, which helps hide the area. But the unit is right by the parking garage. Several nights we were awakened by car alarms and honking of horns, and ambulances from the main road. This stay was a rude awakening as we'd just come from another condo in another area and there it was super clean, great beds (per my son) and they were not stingy with toiletries.
Everything was as advertised, very nice clean unit and it had everything we needed. Really liked having two beds in the extra bedroom for the kids.
