Welcome to old Hawaii at Laie Ohana Escape - located in a quaint, low key, legitimate seaside neighborhood within walking distance to everything. If you want to see what living in Hawaii is truly like, this is it!

This home has so much to offer. Although you get to experience old Hawaii, that doesn't mean you have to live without modern comforts. You'll enjoy air conditioning in every room (something that isn't common on the North Shore.) Spend your days on the beach with our beach gear, watch the amazing sunsets, or spend your evenings sprawled out on the comfortable sectional couch, planning your next adventure.

The charming kitchen has everything you'll need to whip up a tasty dinner or experiment with some local favorites at mealtime. The comfortable bedrooms are the perfect place to get a good night's rest after a day of laying out on the beach, sightseeing, or hiking. Don't forget the two lanais that allow for some breathtaking mountain views.

**Note: A married student couple live on the property in the basement of the home (they will not use any common interior entrances or areas with the guests other than the outside laundry facilities).

This home is located in a neighborhood with children, wild chickens and cats. We can't control any of these (but enjoy watching them ;) so bringing ear plugs may be a good idea if you are a light sleeper.

Because this is a family neighborhood there are no parties allowed. The students and the security system will let us know of breeches to this rule.

The Hawaiian Islands have some of the most remote tropical rainforests in the world. Nevertheless, like any moist and fertile environment, you may find some ants, mosquitoes, roaches and critters like little geckos that share this beautiful world with humans. To keep out bugs, remember to close the doors right after entering. Don't leave food or crumbs on counters or tables and avoid eating at the bed because ants are really smart and fast.

Great location for walking to beaches, PCC, and food! A short drive to north shore. Plenty of parking in awesome neighborhood. The house was comfortable for a family of 12, including an infant and 3 kids. Clean!

To be honest, the place is better than it looks on pictures. Our 30th birthday celebration group enjoyed both lanais, the proximity (by car) to oh-so-many gorgeous beaches, the perfect weather and the easy check in and check out! Super well equipped also. Thank you!
