Great the only issue was the AC in the main living room which made us sleep on the couch since the air didn’t reach the bedroom
Clean, great location, very quiet
So many issues with this stay. I’ll go in order of annoyance. 1. The air conditioning was awful! There was no central a/c. The bedroom was hot, yes even with the fan on. One of the most important things about vacation is getting great rest. I slept horribly! 2. The pillows were awful. They were all pretty firm, so being in a hot room with uncomfortable pillows was even worse! And I tried all of them. 3. Not allowing you to check in until 4 pm but making you check out by 10am with absolutely no grace is ridiculous. I had to just sit in my car waiting to be able to go in for several hours. I took an early flight so I could have time there but that time was totally wasted. 4. The railing on the lanai was covered with bird poop. So gross. We’re talking the top and bottom. It’s clearly been there a long time to accumulate that much in various states of decay. 5. You finally arrive with your drinks and groceries after you can get in and there’s no ice. I get that they can’t keep full ice trays. Fine! Then leave a little bag of ice! The condo was hot, no a/c on and no way to have a cold drink. 6. The cooler that they have for you in the condo is gigantic! It’s for a huge family. Totally useless and there was only 1 tiny plastic ice pack for it anyway. 7. There’s zero flexibility in rescheduling, even for a medical emergency. I fractured my foot 1 month prior to this trip and the condo was the only part of my trip that refused to let me reschedule. I even offered documentation.
The location is great and the place is welcoming, however the place wasn’t very clean. The carpet needed to be vacuum cleaned mor, I’ve tried to use the vacuum cleaner but it is not in good condition so it didn’t help.

We had a great time staying here! Quiet, not crowded, tucked away from the resorts but still very close to everything. The hosts responded quickly when we had questions. We spent most evenings on the balcony watching the waves. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area!

This condo is perfect for couples looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the oceanfront views. The property is well taken care of and there is a sense of pride in the community. The condo we stayed in was well equipped, clean, and very comfortable. The condo looked better in person. The downside was having no AC in the bedroom, however there were multiple fans that helped cool it down at night. We would recommend this place to couples looking forward to a peaceful and quiet vacation.
The Resort may be a little older, but 209 is modern, cleam, comfortable. Check for the parking pass in the basket on the kitchen counter. The resort is clean, well maintained. The pool looks to be cleaned at least twice everyday. There is a grill and chairs on the ocean front area. Access to the area is to the right when you get off the elevator and opens at 9 AM. There are stairs down to the ocean. Safe neighborhood from what i coud see and i took a walk around Manager was friendly
Is great stay great location. Is saw so many turtles from the deck.
Though no direct beach access on property, we enjoyed many beautiful sunset views from our lanai. It made a nice Maui home base for my wife and me. Also loved having an in-house washer/dryer, as well as free parking.

The condo is excellent with a beautiful, unobstructed view of the ocean and it was very clean. The owner was most cooperative. The only thing that was worth mentioning is that the A/C is in the living room and there is none in the bedroom. This is well compensated by the fans that were provided. The glass doors control the A/C and it will turn the a/c off when opened. (Sometimes difficult to get the a/c on again.) We will stay at this condo again in the future.

Unbelievable view, pictures do not give it justice. Wonderful area just a little more on the tourist trap side of pricing. Amazing place to stay. Definitely recommend. Definitely would stay again.

Ocean front unit which was nice however there was no good access point to get into the water. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, adequate linens. No air conditioning in the bedroom so found it to be quite warm/stuffy even with the floor and overhead fans. Wasn't walkable for us to restaurants, bars or beaches with water access so that was unfortunate. Pool area was nice but didn't get much sun, pool was on the cooler side. The building is quite old but well kept as was the apartment both however could use a refresh. We feel that for what we paid it was a fair.

The air conditioning is only in the living room, but you can't lower the temperature; the bedroom only has a fan but no AC! The mattress is excellent, but the pillows must be better and firmer.
Honokowai is our favorite location to stay in Maui. Less crowded than Kaanapali with close access to great snorkel sites and a short drive to Lahaina for restaurants and groceries. Our unit faced the ocean and had a spectacular view. The reef that runs along the coast in front of the complex was one of our favorite snorkeling adventures. We encountered several turtles up close and lots of fish and the water entrance was easy. The rental had nice decor and all the kitchen necessities were there for cooking and eating in which we did for most of the trip. Our only disappointment was that there was no AC in the bedroom and kitchen essentials such as steak knives were of somewhat cheaper quality. I felt the unit and complex were a good value and I would highly recommend it and stay there again.
The pictures were spot on. We were right on the water. The view was spectacular. The condo was perfect. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. We would definitely come back. Oh, and the price was right. We were here visiting my son who works for Kapalua Zip lining and it was only 8 min away from this VRBO. It’s close enough to walk to Dollies, Beach House and going the other way Dukes. Very enjoyable. I didn’t want to leave and I could live in this VRBO. Thank you for advertising the view, it is spot on.
Whales, turtles and a view ow my. What a great place, would love to come back and stay in the same condo. We love this place much better then any 5 star hotel. If you want the beach life this place is not for you, but if you want the quiet vacation with a incredible view, this is the place.
Pool was coming apart not warm enough for morning with little sun and other dude had great views no way to get to ocean there were people fishing not fro there and local teenagers cussing and grabbing turtles told them to stop they flipped us off and went down further other people was yelling at them
We loved watching the whales off the balcony and hearing the waves roll in.
This place is beautiful, so cozy with a wonderful view, only thing is the ac unit was not working properly, it was a warm day and night and just couldn't get it to cool, but other than that it was great!
