While the house does have some wear, it is a wonderful place for a family vacation. The beach felt refreshingly private and is just steps from the back door. Our family, ages 11 up to 70, had a fun and restful time! The youngest would wake up early, run out the door and immediately start playing on the beach.The house has plenty of cookware and utensils, plenty of lounge chairs on the patio for sunbathing readers, plenty of toys (sand toys, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, volleyball), beach chairs to go by the water, and plenty of beach towels. The host thoughtfully had everything we could possibly want or need. He also quickly responded and took care of us.The house doesn’t have a/c, but with plenty of windows to open and plenty of fans all over the house, we felt comfortable and slept comfortably.While the house is in a fantastic location as far as distance from iconic Oahu tourist experiences, the road in front of the house can be difficult to turn onto due to traffic. If we were leaving the house during heavy traffic, most of the time, a kind motorist would allow us to cut in. Our family alternated tourist days with rest days. We spent an entire day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, zip-lined through Kualo Ranch one morning, visited Pearl Harbor (highly recommend the submarine museum), toured North Shore, ate as much Hawaiian food as we could get. Make sure to check out the food truck park in Kahuku. Aloha!
I think everything was covered in other reviews, but I'd like to reiterate how kind and responsive Wade was. The place and location are beautiful and the home is in a relatively quiet area with everything that you might need relatively close by. Wade has virtually everything that you might need to enjoy the beach on hand. We definitely hope to return.
We had the best time staying at this house! We stayed January 19-26th. Our party had a total of 7 people, 4 adults and 3 kids. There was plenty of room for all of us, we never felt like we were confined or in each others space. The house doesn't have AC, but the weather was a perfect 80 all week, not too hot. So keeping the windows open to get the ocean breeze and every room has a fan or two, made it very comfortable in the house. You definitely can't beat this location, especially if you have kids with you. Aside from exploring sites on the island, we never wanted to leave this house with having the beach as our backyard. The beach was perfect for our kids and the adults! Everything you need for the beach or to play in the water is already provided at the house. The house is very functional. It could use some superficial upkeep, but overall it had everything we needed and everything in the house worked properly. Wade was a great host and always quickly addressed any questions or concerns we had. We enjoyed our vacation tremendously, made some amazing memories and would love to come back and stay at this house again. Thank you Wade for the hospitality!
My family and I stayed at this property a couple years ago and loved it so much we had to stay again! We loved stepping off the back patio onto the beach. There was plenty of room for 8 adults plus the new grandbaby. Wade was accommodating and very responsive to texts.
We loved this house and location to the LDS Temple and PCCC. There is a cute gift shope across the street and one down the street which we visited frequently as well as a 7 Eleven. Grocery/ drug store was a short drive away. House was right on the beach which was amazing! House had everything you needed to play in the water. The view was amazing and falling asleep to the crashing waves was the best. Would for sure stay here again.
Wade is an absolutely wonderful host!! He is warm and very welcoming. The house was super clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The view is SPECTACULAR, would definitely book again.!!!!
Great relaxing location. Ocean is literally 30 feet from your bedroom window so be ready to hear the ocean. That is why we selected the location, and it delivered.
Everything else was of minimal importance. The house was typical beach house for North shore, internet was good, no complaints.
The main road is also 30 feet from the house, so expect to hear some traffic. Main rooms are on the beach side so we never heard traffic, only the ocean.
The water is great, not big surf. Great for the family esp. little kids. We saw a seal and a turtle and some fishing was going on from the beach.
It was a great time and a drama free rental. Mahalo.
The home was clean and comfortable. The home is equipped with everything needed to cook. The ocean is your backyard with no obstructions. The only inconvenience is it is off a busy HWY. You can’t hear it, but it can be difficult to turn out or into the property.
Wade was a great host! The house was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much. The beds were comfortable and everything was really clean. Cant wait to go back!!
This was the perfect house for our family of six—right on the beach. Our kids loved walking just a few feet to the sand and waves. We would definitely stay here again!
Our favorite part of the stay was enjoying morning coffee while watching the sunrise each day. We've never stayed in a VRBO or hotel with such prime beachfront property. We were here during the peak of spring break, while other areas of the island were a complete zoo, and we only saw a few people on the beach each day. It truly felt like we were on a private beach.
Wade communicated better than any other property manager we've worked with, checking in on us by text and email several times during our stay. We didn't have any issues but it was much appreciated.
The house itself was clean but a little worn in some areas, although I stopped noticing those blemishes after a couple days. The cabinets, counters, floors, and appliances all appeared to be new. There were some areas where the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. There was no air conditioning but we were very comfortable with the windows open at night and slept well with the sound of the ocean.
All in all, it was a good value compared to most other places on the island and I would definitely rent the house again.
Nice snorkeling spot protected by a reef a few minutes walk down the beach. Saw sea turtles & lots of types of fish. Good for swimming & beach relaxation & was very un-crowded. Water was far calmer than the other sides of the island (mid-March).
House was nice & both top and bottom beachside decks were great.
Master bedroom: laying in bed looks right at the ocean which was awesome.
No air-conditioning but with a constant sea breeze, ceiling fans & 77F highs everyday, we didn’t miss it all.

If I come back to Oahu I would stay here again.
This is a beachfront property whose location is convenient for accessing activities on both the North shore and southern part of the island.
Grocery stores, beaches, food trucks and petrol stations are a short drive away. There is plenty of seating in the back patio for outdoor meals and visiting etc. Check in was very simple and our host communicated all instructions well in advance. The property is very clean and tidy.
Would stay there again if we were to return to the island.
The place is beautiful. Right on the beach. The manager was super responsive- responded to my texts in minutes and made sure we had everything we needed. We watched whales breaching out in the ocean every morning with our coffee and even got to see the local monk seal come up on the beach to sunbathe. We snorkeled the reef right in front of the house and saw some great fish and even an eel.
The house is on a fairly busy road so there was some noise from the street. We didn’t mind as the beach facing side more than made up for it.
4 generation (7 persons, ages 6-87) and had a wonderful visit. The house is spacious, with separate living areas on
each of the two floors. The kitchen was very well stocked, fridge large with an ice-maker, and lots of room. The only thing lacking was a dishwasher. There is no air-conditioning but ample screened windows and slider doors to let the sea breeze through, along with multiple ceiling fans. All bedrooms upstairs but easily navigated. The beach was very clean and swimming free of ay significant currents. Lots of beach toys, boogie boards etc provided. Ocean within 10 yards of downstairs patio and pleasant sound of waves all night. Good-sized FoodMart within 5-10 minute drive and a 7-11 close by for
provisions. The only negatives we had is that the inside
could be cleaner (and perhaps some fresh paint on walls), somewhat low water pressure for the upstairs shower (but
had plenty of hot water), the twin beds were very firm, and
there were not top sheets for the beds, but just a medium
weight bedspread for a top layer in Master bedroom. Found an extra flat sheet in closet however. All in all, it is a wonderful, peaceful, quiet, secure, property with a great location and views. would love to return. The host, Wade, was
away but in frequent communication and the housekeeper, Tanya, available to address any concerns.
