We absolutely loved our stay here! The patio was lovely and the room was very spacious. The resort itself was fabulous and had so many amenities. We loved being just steps away from the beach and the beach walk. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants and shops in Whalers Village. You have everything you could need and more at this resort! We absolutely loved our time here and can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely loved it! We’ve stayed in multiple places on this property and the MKV doesn’t disappoint. The room was nice the bed was comfortable. I wish there was a drip coffee pot in the room. The lanai was very nice and private with a cool breeze and our room was very close to the gorgeous pool and hot tub. The landscapers take wonderful care of the grounds to ensure they are in perfect shape everyday.

MKV is a beautiful resort with everything you need within walking distance! The suite itself is beautiful, lovely patio and very comfortable bed! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here during our honeymoon.
This is my second year in a row at this property. Love this place and will stay again. Even though on the road it's quiet and very private (more private than other condos near pool). Check in is a breeze and owners are very responsive and polite. Love Castaway Cafe. Best thing about the property is the lovely grounds and very relaxed pool and lawn chair area. Feels like a small club rather than a large resort where you have to be out at 7am to reserve a lawn chair - never a problem to get a chair. The beach front is better in from of the MKV than in front of the Westin next door as no coral and rocks - just sand. Parking is great too as you can park on street right next to the unit.
This was my first time staying in busy Kaanapali, having only stayed in Napili. If you seek quiet lush gardens and the feel of a private condo as opposed to a bustling resort, this property is perfect.
Check-in: check in was quick and easy. You have to pay a resort fee of US$20 per day, and the clerk tried to charge me US$25, but I showed my booking and was charged correctly. Make sure you are charged the correct fee that the host has stated in your booking. You are given beach towels at check in that you can replace during your stay.
Parking: parking is free and plentiful. I was able to park on the street right in front of the unit.
the Unit: the unit is a good size for a studio, older style but well maintained. It is located overlooking the road (Kai Ala Drive) but car traffic is minimal so the unit is quiet (other than the 1 am very loud automatic ground sprinklers- but I will take that to be in paradise). There is a hedge that affords privacy from people walking by. Across the street is a vacant lot so the real beauty of this unit is you can actually see the ocean in the distance and hear the waves at night. The kitchen is small but well stocked. The bathroom is a good size and shower has good water power. Could not get any hot water from the bathroom sink though. The king bed is very comfortable. The lanai is perfect for morning coffee!
The property: MKV is perfect for those that love quiet privacy. The grounds are lush and well landscaped. The pools are actually really nice and peaceful and laid back. No need to rush to save lawn chairs. There is a nice lawn by the beach with lawn chairs to use - great place to watch the sunset. The Castaway cafe is great for lunch, cocktails and a casual beachside dinner. The property is on the Kaanapali Beach trail so it's an easy walk to Whalers Village.
the hosts: the hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to respond. I just loved this place and will return!
My family and I stayed in unit C 155 for 10 nights during Christmas. A ground floor unit was so perfect for us and this unit was so very nice.
Property owners are super kind and responsive when we had a question. The unit is very close to the smaller pool that was frequently empty as others populated the larger pool or ocean.
The ocean on this property is PERFECT! It is all sand and perfect for playing in the ocean with kids. If you want to snorkel, coral is easy to find with a walk of about 100 yards.
