Great place...setup perfectly
Our host is super responsive to any questions or querries!Although Ali'i Drive is extremely busy, the grounds at Kona Islander Inn always reminds us of Hawaii as it was many years ago! We enjoy the sights/activities along the streets of Kona but appreciate the serenity of the condo and the lush vegetation that is so beautifully maintained!

Our stay was wonderful. Location was perfect. Our condo was small but perfect for two people. Check in was simple. Place was clean, but a little dated. I would say the only negatives would be: bed is small (full size mattress), the water never got warmer than lukewarm and there were no dish towels to dry our dishes. Parking was an issue if you came back after 7pm.
We had an amazing time at this place. It’s right by the water, super walkable with the city around, and such a steal for the price. Also, the hosts let us spend a day out on their personal boat for a fishing trip. If you’re looking for a Kona getaway, we can’t recommend this place highly enough. :)
Lots of action along Ali'i Drive and a beautiful ocean view from our balcony. The hosts were very attentive to anything we needed while staying at their condo, with a very quick response time to any questions. We love the beautiful grounds of the Kona Islander Inn and always appreciate the quiet sanctuary that awaits when you enter the private gate off the busy main drag!
We were lucky enough to stay in this suite. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there people watching. When we arrived the instructions easily got us into the unit and the front desk was very helpful. The unot was clean and has everything we needed for a short trip. We found a lot of things in the unit which added to our stay. We loved that it was in the heart of Kona and was easily walkable to the shops and restaurant including our favorite Huggo’s happy hour. We would willingly stay here again
Great view, cozy and clean living area. Close to shops and restaurants. Cute balcony with table and chairs for coffee in the am, wine in the pm. Easy to park and check in. We will definitely be back.
The property is downtown which is great for shopping, and dining which is within walking distance. Can be a bit noisy at times due to the busy street and amount of people out and about. Ocean across the street, loved the sound of the waves!
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Nice pool.
Parking is a nightmare!!! Not enough spaces for all the guests!
Unit does not have a stove. BBQ by the pool.
All the staff are friendly, but refer you to the host for any concerns in the unit. We were not contacted by the host until day 13 of our 28 day stay. Would have appreciated an email or instructions in the unit with the process of replacement of supplies as we had purchased needed paper supplies and the linens were slow to be replaced after he did contact us..
The Kona Islander Inn is a perfect place to stay! It is located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The tropical green surroundings and the units with ocean views add to the island experience! The on-site manager was very personable, professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again😄

The property is right in the heart of Kailua right across the street from the ocean. It's easy to get anywhere and so much to do and see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
I loved the view and the cleanliness of the room and reasonable rates ,will definitely recommend!
