For context, we have been in 7 other condos units in Hali’i kai. We were very disappointed with our stay at this unit:1. When we arrived the fridge was making a very loud buzzing sound. We couldn’t carry on a conversation over the sound. We immediately contacted the property management team via email, no immediate response. After a couple hours, we figured out that if we turned the fridge off and on, the noise stopped. We emailed the property management back telling them we had found a solution, they responded promptly, telling us to reach out again if more concerns. As it turned out, the noise returned that night waking us from sleep and despite resetting the fridge, kept recurring every 3-8 hours, waking us up multiple times each night. We emailed the managers after the first night, but did not receive any further replies; they ignored all problems, but their prompt reply to our email informing them we had (temporarily) fixed the issue shows they were getting our messages. 2. The beach gear was filthy, disorganized, and worn out. By far in the worst shape of any unit we have seen. 3. Bed was uncomfortable with cheap wool mattress pad that was hot (no a/c in bedroom just fan) and folded when you moved, covered by a too small flat sheet (no fitted sheeted) that didn’t fully cover the mattress lengthThe unit was fairly clean (average), dishes were clean, unit decently stocked (sugar, spices, baggies, samples of shampoo, detergent).Hal’i Kai staff are great.
Beautiful property, very clean house with all the amenities need it. The pool are vvv nice and with very good restaurant and perfect Mai Tais. Definitely we will return and we will recommend to our friends .

Could not have been happier with our 11 day stay. Clean comfortable and great location!
This was one of the most well stocked properties we’ve stayed in. Our family of five was there for 10 days and did a lot of our own cooking. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms had extra bedding and were very comfortable. They also provided all the beach equipment we could need which was an added bonus. The listing says the property doesn’t have beach towels, but you can check some out from the main office for your entire stay.
Our only complaint is that the location was not super walkable to amenities but that wasn’t promised in the listing. We would have liked to be a little closer to shops to walk and grab a coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening. But we had a rental car which we used for the 5 - 10 min drive. Lots of people are out walking for exercise, just not close enough to walk to any extra amenities.
The pool was beautiful and had great food. It is a good 10 minute walk from the house. It was amazing to watch the whales and sunset each night and we could always find a chair. But it is not super kid friendly. No balls, no jumping, no floats, no loud play, which was hard for our 11, 9 and 6 year old.
We love it here so much! It’s our second time staying in the neighborhood and it was nothing less than wonderful. The place was clean and kid friendly and communication was super quick and helpful. We love the staff here and have made friends down at the pool/restaurant from both stays. We can’t wait to come back again!
This is our second time staying in this unit and another great time. The place is clean, quiet and has nice amenities.

Beautiful unit and perfect location to enjoy the big island. Nice pool and restaurant on property. Beaches are close but need to go early to get parking. We saw some whales from the pool area! Unit has snorkel gear and boogie boards but no beach towels. Had a lovely stay despite the rain.
Great property. Great Location being on Hali'i Kai resort. Most beautiful sunsets in all of Hawaii with Hawaiian Conch Ceremony evey night. Restaurant has the best drinks and best french fries I have had.
Price was lowest I was able to find in Hali'i Kai. Could use some updating, but nice getaway for 2-4 people.
The condo was as described. It’s in a beautiful condo resort setting, among a dozen or more other resorts in the same community that share shops and restaurants. This smaller resort had a pool just a seven or 10 minute walk from the condo. It’s a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. A really gorgeous beach (“A-bay”)is about a seven minute drive with incredible walking paths and fish ponds along the way.
The condo was short on shampoo/conditioner, clothes detergent, condiments (had salt and pepper, other spices, soy sauce but no oil spray), also no beach towels. But had several nice snorkeling sets, and 3? Boogie boards, 3-4 low beach chairs, a few other beach toys. We loved that!
