The resort was amazing we stayed in one of the villas. My wife, daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren went as a family vacation. We enjoyed every aspect of the trip except for the staff. The reason for the overall 3 is because of the staff not very friendlily. Every morning at 5 am my son-in-law would go sit in the lobby, check phone messages and enjoy the area. The last two mornings of our trip one of the security guards profiled my son-in-law questioning him if he belonged there. He showed him his blue wrist band that everyone received when checking in and told to wear at all times. Apparently, that wasn't good enough, keeping in mind other people were in the lobby and the security didn't check to see if they belonged there. The next morning, he did the same thing only there was 4 security guards. Again, a gentleman sitting right near my son-in-law no wrist band and they didn't do anything until they were pressed to do so. I can say a lot more but have made a request to the management company to file a formal complaint, they said the security at Honua Kai is not managed by them but would relay my request. I gave them all my information, you would think someone would have called immediately. We spent a lot of money on this trip only to have it ruined by some very rude employees.
Great location. Loved being on the ground floor & being able to walk out right to the pool. No ocean view which was a bummer but there are no 3 bedroom close to the beach. It is not a far walk though. My only real complaint is that a professional cleaning of the outdoor furniture is greatly needed-stains all over it. Overall a great stay!
Great trip, excellent Villa. The pictures are of a different Villa than 12A but highly similar, we had the pool right outside our back door which was pleasant. The grounds are wonderful, the beach is close and the area is delightful. Over the holiday, I worried it would be crowded and it was full but never felt too full. There are food trucks walkable just down the road and we did enjoy trying different things. Highly recommend.
Lots of room for the 6 of us. Well stocked kitchen, clean, steps away from guest/resident pool, beach chairs and boogie boards to use, garage, wonderful customer service!

Perfect location with ground floor unit and easy access to lawn and pool— ideal for the 2 year old in our family! Accommodations are comfortable, stylish, and beautifully decorated. I door-outdoor living at its best!
Exceeded our expectations in every way? furnishings are modern and in excellent condition. Great layout, very spacious. Love the sliding door that opens to our lanai. Pool is just steps from our lanai. Landscaping is lovely. Access to other pools and to ocean is easy. Totally fun and relaxing, a great place for families in particular. KBM was great to work with, thank you.

Spacious, comfortable and clean. Patio and grassy area extended the living space. Quiet Adult pool steps from villa is a plus. BBQ is convenient on patio but very smoky - adding a vent above it would reduce the extreme smoke. Loved the resort and boardwalk. Dukes Restaurant on property is great. A perfect vacation spot for our adult family.

This villa was perfect for our party of 5 adults. Plenty of room for everyone, very clean and well supplied. Just a few steps to the pool! There is a larger pool that's a short walk, but we enjoyed the smaller one. The resort is well groomed and maintained. A lovely boardwalk connects several resorts along the ocean and is a very enjoyable walk. Sunsets were awesome. The convenience of food trucks and Time Supermarket within walking distance was a huge plus. KBM checked with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay and to see if we needed anything. They were great to work with. We would definitely stay at this property again.
We would definitely come back to this property! The amenities and accomodations were top notch! Excellent communication with host. Villa was very comfortable for our party of 5.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Much of the house is very outdated (early 80s) but the floorplan is great. The location, outdoor areas, direct beach access, comfortable beds, ample beach gear, towels, and kitchen supplies more than made up for the outdated finishes. In fact, it was kind of nostalgic going back in time a for a few days. We highly recommend this rental!

The location and accommodations were both excellent. First floor walkout patio in a 4 unit villa, set amount similar units with central pool, only a short walk to the resort spa, Duke's Restaurant, and the beach. Convenient parking in an individual garage adjacent to the unit. Kitchen, living area and baths were exceptional. Layout and rooms were perfect for two couples and children or three couples.

Our family of six just had an amazing stay in Luana Garden Villa 12A. The villa itself was great - not just the well equipped kitchen with toaster, blender, and even a garlic press — not just the comfortable beds and spacious showers — but the fully opening sliding door to the back patio was amazing! We had dinner 5 of 7 nights on our patio and loved every evening. We also enjoyed use of the resort gym, and the beach chairs and umbrella that came with the villa. Very happy family.
