Luana Hawaii at the Ilikai Hotel is located at 1777 Ala Moana Blvd, the far western end of Waikiki, with a great variety of places nearly at its doorsteps. Standing at the top 26th floor of the Ilikai Hotel in the exclusive Private Residences wing, our well-appointed penthouse is truly like no other. Upon entering the large open living space, you are instantly greeted by the gleaming Pacific Ocean and all its treasures. The floor-to-ceiling windows effortlessly frame the scene of your memorable Hawaiian vacation. Move through one of three sliding glass doors to reach the large, outdoor and private, semi-covered balcony where you can lounge or dine. The comfortable master suite with a full bath faces the ocean and leads to the balcony. The open living space separates the master from the two large bedrooms located on the opposite end of the unit. The front room of the two bedrooms looks out to the ocean with balcony access as well.
If you want to explore Waikiki, Ala Moana, or even the greater Oahu area, there are several transportation options. There are several bus stops near the Ilikai Hotel, which can take you to new surfing, snorkeling, shopping, or sightseeing locations. There is also a Biki rental bike stand nearby, which can be used to explore Waikiki. Uber is a great option to explore further away.

We are from Hawaii so we were doing a small staycation. It was a very big room. More than enough room to fit our entire family. The parking there is valet service and during check in and check out time it can be quite busy. The hotel lobby was nice and spacious. There were many shops in the lobby. We took the elevators up to the 26th floor which was the penthouse. First glance when we walked in was the amount of space and the beautiful lanai area. However, upon having a closer look there were a few things we were disappointed in. The carpet in the room was quite stained and dirty. The kitchen had some outdated appliances. The refrigerator was updated however for some reason it wasn’t keeping cold. Our food ended up getting spoiled in the refrigerator. During our stay the bedroom off the kitchen area had a stand up fan, so I’m sure it is known that the AC doesn’t work well in that room. It was quite warm even with the curtains down and at night. It wouldn’t go below 76 degrees. One of the chairs on the dining room table was also about to break and very wobbly. The room came with towels and amenities which was really nice. As for the hotel pool, we didn’t go in because it was quite small and very crowded so we opted to go to the Hilton lagoon which was a nice quick walk. Overall, it was a nice staycation with the family. I loved the size of the room and the views from the lanai were great. The room could use a lot of updating and fix the AC and refrigerator and get that carpet out.

Overall, the place offers good pricing, space and most of the amenities we needed. AC, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths were important. The view and location were amazing. However, parking was valet only, no washer/dryer or dishwasher. Unfortunately, the carpet is white and has some old stains, which was a bit of a turn off. Otherwise, we’ve enjoyed our stay.

The decor is old fashioned but the posted pictures are accurate. The condo was clean but could use a really deep cleaning and new carpet. One of the AC units broke while we were there and the property manager responded quickly, although a technician was not available until the next day. We were very pleased with our stay in 2602.

円安でしたが大切な家族との特別な滞在でした。ペントハウスという事で大変期待もしていましたが広さと使い易さは別とし、マスターベッドルームの照明、ゲストルームドレッサーの照明は電球切れではなく壊れたまま、自動洗浄では無いにも拘らず夜中の間も勝手にトイレの水が流れる始末。クレーマーにはなりたくありませんが、期待し過ぎなのかこの程度の事は我慢すべきなのか。中間業者にも来て頂きましたが解決には至らず。なんとも複雑な思いが残った滞在でした。

The location of the property is incredible and so are the views! There was plenty of room for our family of five and the unit was clean aside from multiple stains on the carpet. The bedroom with the two king beds gets pretty warm on hot days and the ac isn’t able to keep up. We had to use a fan (that was in the unit) to try to push cool air into that bedroom. There seemed to be a wet spot on the carpet and that room got pretty humid. The curtains do not block out the sun so if you want to sleep in I’d bring an eye mask.
The bedroom with the two twin beds doesn’t have a typical door, it has three doors that slide individually to close off the room; that room gets warm when the doors are closed as well. There are no windows in this room.
The blinds in the primary room do not provide any darkening from the sun either.
My biggest complaint are the skillets that are provided; they are awful - everything sticks to them and they are almost impossible to get clean. I understand that renters are abusive to pans and not wanting to provide expensive pans but these are unacceptable.
Again the view is spectacular and if you aren’t planning to make breakfast and want to rise with the sun you will be fine in this penthouse.

The location of this property was wonderful. Because we didn't have a long stay planned, we didn't stock up on food to keep in the condo. The convenience of the store downstairs was perfect. We could grab what we needed as we needed it. The third bedroom with the twin beds is a bit odd. The one wall is all a door that unfolds to close off the room from the hallway. The decor is a bit dated, but is as described in the listing. Overall, we enjoyed our quick visit!

What ever you do, do NOT book this place. It was the absolute worst!! The condition, the cleanliness, functionality, the contact people at Luana - ALL OF IT! I immediately called when we checked in when I saw crusted food on dishes, silverware, pots/pans, etc. There was dust and dirt in every room, blackened carpets, broken things every where - from drawers, to mirrors, fans, doors, furniture, A/C, etc. The filthy carpet (that was supposed to white) is bubbled and lifting and blackened all over, my Auntie tripped and almost ended up in the hospital from it. They tried to mask the filth by putting carpet over carpet, so unsanitary. We sat in a chair, not knowing it was broken and fell back. The lanai door takes THREE people to slide open, does not work. I was told someone would come by and clean the thanks! After what they consider 'clean', no doubt their cleaning crew would not be thorough, so I did it myself (all by hand, no dishwasher). The condition of this place is SO bad, you don't want to walk barefoot or sit on anything, so dirty. And when I reached out to Luana to list everything that was wrong, how shameful and unprofessional to get a response of complete denial. To tell me they had someone check everything, and it was ok?! This place is FAR from ok. NO UNACCOUNTABILITY. Pictures do not lie - THE MANAGING COMPANY LIES AND DECEIVES, and does not step up what so ever to address the enormous list of what is wrong with this place. Do not stay here, find another place, this was an absolute disappointment. An entire week spent in filth with no help to address the countless issues. No remorse, no sorry, no fixing, no response, no discount, nothing. I am still considering getting an attorney involved, and with the countless pictures and videos I have, no doubt they will be able to prove of this and much much more!!!

Our 7 person multi generational family (14-80yrs) had an amazing time in Waikiki. The view from the lanai is stunning with the marina and ocean. We enjoyed many rainbows and spent lots of time on the lanai. The rental is clean and comfortable with space for everyone. It’s easy to walk to shops, bars, restaurants. Hilton Village is just to the south with lots of shopping and casual dining. We bought supplies (beach towels/sunscreen)at ABC, and ordered groceries from Safeway. Valet parking was quick and easy. We brought our own games. The kitchen is handy for making coffee, breakfast etc. There weren’t any measuring cups so we did a best guess for pancakes. The workout room/gym is for Ilikai Hotel guests only. Walk around the Hilton lagoon to watch sunrise over diamond head. Snorkeling from shore at Queen’s beach was great (long walk just south of Waikiki pier). Cinnamon and Pesca are both great restaurants at the Ilikai and Tropics Bar and Grill at the Hilton is a tasty casual option on the beach. We also enjoyed drinks at Barefoot Bar. Absolutely would recommend this condo to friends and family and hope to stay again!

This place is huge and the view is spectacular.
its the penthouse with 3 bedrooms 2 bath kitchen. the balcony is huge accessible from the living room and the two bedrooms.
Theres a nice restaurant at the top of the Ilikai. great food.

Excellent view and location was slightly off the beaten path but nice to be away from crowds. The furniture is on the older side but the patio, view and cleanliness made up for it. The three bedrooms were key as we had 6 adult couples and two kids.
