Loved the views and the ocean breeze through the place. We liked keeping front door open and the sliding glass while we enjoyed watching the ocean waves. Got to bbq and relax and see lots of turtles near our place. Great stay. Loved the little beach next to us.
We loved this unit! We have stayed several weeks at Kahana every year for the last 5 years. Kahana Reef is our favorite location. Looking over the ocean every night watching the sunset and every day watching the sea turtles just can’t be matched! Well appointed and very clean. We will be back!
We had a wonderful stay, we came for my godsons daughter’s 1 year old birthday. My godson is really my youngest son my middle son olso lives in Lahaina and my oldest came from Dallas her stay here on on the first floor this his fiance. So we Mami and I vacuum and mop and dust and clean the kitchen and the glasses, oh and the carpet we try by we just would rolled out when the baby was there she would crawl and stand an finally the day came she was walking it was great that was the highlight of the day we cook home meal and the family will come for lunch and dinner. Family and ocean my boys my mama 😇i was in haven and Mami they grandsons is her life and he's first great grandauter. Wow yes we enjoy the amenities the unit is so beautiful and it has everything to cook I would go to the beach in the am. Oh and the huge turtle the came to eat the sea weed and I go up the unit end enjoy ia wonderful breeze, there's a grocery shopping is passed the entrance to the place. Olso the corner at turn in there's a coffee house macdonal 24 hr gas and at the place there's a lots of thing to do kayak surf pool is a great place I would surctenty won't go back thank you for an in us
We loved the location. It was peaceful and as close to the beach as you could ever be.
We were extremely disappointed that the condo was dirty...I mean really dirty. The bedroom carpet was extremely stained and worn. The bathtub was visibly dirty. The microwave was dirty and had an old take-out container in it.
I reported these issues. The person I spoke to didn't offer compensation. We had a wonderful vacation and made the best of the situation. It was extremely disappointing that management didnt offer to move us to a clean unit.
We stayed at the property for 6 days with an active toddler.
Pros:
The view. Just amazing! This is a premium Hawaii view, with ocean right outside, Molokai and lanai islands at a distance. It is a 4th floor apartment, so it almost feels like you are on cruise ship. The lanai is big enough and we spent an entire day sitting in it when it was raining outside. We saw a few sea turtles too. The sunsets are spectacular! The constant sound of waves is something I miss everyday after coming back. It is also very airy and cool winds from sea are enough, no AC required.
The area and apartment building: This is a quiet area tucked away between Lahaina and Napili and it is a short drive's distance to all the places nearby. At the same time, quiet enough if you just want to relax. The apartment building has some residents and some on vacation, and they are all a bunch of nice people. there is also a decent Chinese restaurant across the street if you want to quickly grab some food.
Towels and beach equipment: They provided us with a bunch of bath and beach towels, beach chairs, even a pair of fins which were useful for beach excursions.
Kitchen is equipped with basic pots and pans. Condiments wise there weren't much, salt and pepper and some sugar which looked like it was left by previous people.
Laundry in apartment building: Travelling with a kid, we loved having this and used it multiple times.
Cons:
Not cleaned properly: We travelled with a toddler, and I didn't find the place clean at all. I doubt if it was cleaned before we arrived. The toilet was dirty, there was sand at visible spots in living room and worst is the bedsheet had a bunch of long hair on it. Basic expectation is they change the sheets/ wash them between tenants. I communicated this to the manager but we arrived late at night so we had to make do with that until next morning where they sent a person to clean the toilet and take the sheets to washing. the carpet in the bedroom was also stained.
Also, I know expecting them to clean the lanai furniture between every tenant might be too much, but just noting here that it was also not very clean and damp due to occasional rains. the view more than compensates but just noting it.
Second thing is the walls are pretty thin, you can hear everything going on in the living room if you are in bathroom. It didn't bother us, but might bother some.
Overall a good stay, would have given it 5 stars if it was clean.
Cozy condo with a spectacular view and thoughtful accommodations. The balcony is really the star of the show here with the views and sounds of the ocean. We enjoyed our coffee out on the lanai each morning and evening and while we didn't eat there other than breakfast most days, the place had a stocked kitchen for all your needs. I tend to prefer these types of homier lodgings more than the resorts. Kahana Reef 419 did not dissapoint. I would do it again.
Entry Hall: Dirty carpet, broken security chain.
Living/Dinning: Couch and carpet dirty.
Kitchen: Counter tops had dried food/grime, Stove top dirty, knobs/sides grime, Oven door dirty with food. Dishes, glasses and flatware had to be washed before used. No supplies in kitchen including ice cube trays and hand soap.
Bathroom: No soap for hands or body.
Bedroom: Filthy carpet, no luggage rack; only place for luggage was the floor.
The floors were so dirty we wore socks at all times and they were black by the end of our stay.
We would not recommend the facility or the unit. The unit is way over priced for what we got.
This was a great condo. Outside from not getting information on how to get into it and having to call the after hours emergency contact. We enjoyed our stay. Super awesome view and access to the beach. There are even turtles that swim by the rock wall and eat breakfast and dinner daily. ❤️

Very nicely decorated. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking. The view is amazing, snorkeling is perfect and yes we saw plenty of turtles. Wonderful location & trip. Thank you.
