The spirit of aloha lives in our tropical two-bedroom, ocean view condominium, and it awaits your arrival! Situated on a small rise, the view of the ocean is as delightful as the trade winds that greet you when you slide open the plantation shutters. Our unit - #74, in Building 14 - is a corner unit, so privacy is yours as well. And in March of 2023 we added AIR CONDITIONING in both bedrooms and upstairs in the kitchen/living room area!

We have decorated the condo (we call it Hale Ohana-House of Family and Friends) in “island style” to stay in spirit with the tropical views all around you. As it can accommodate six guests (1 king, 1 queen and queen sofa bed), our hope is that you will relax during your stay! Sit on the lanai upstairs (or the patio outside the master bedroom) and enjoy the swaying palms and vibrant blue hues of the Pacific.

One of the delights in staying at Kiahuna Plantation is its grounds, brimming with plumeria trees, bougainvillea, hibiscus, bridges and lawns that meet the sea. Hale Ohana sits near the middle of these lush 35 acres. The Moir Gardens - also famous for its collection of cacti, bromelaids, koi fish and water lilies are located here as well; you will see them when you check in with Outrigger Resorts. There are gas BBQ grills dotted all over the property. The “great lawn” at Kiahuna is nestled up-to beautiful Poipu Beach, acclaimed for its warm, crystal clear water, swimming, snorkeling, surfing and boogie boarding. It’s just the perfect spot to do anything- or, absolutely nothing! It’s no wonder that Poipu has been awarded the ninth "Best Beach" in America in 2023 by Dr. Beach (out of 650 beaches in America)

We fell in love with Kiahuna when we honeymooned there over 35 years ago and fell in love with it again when we began visiting with our two young sons. Now in their 30’s, they still love all the water sports, hiking, kayaking, body surfing and reading under the palm trees.

FURTHER NOTES ON HALE OHANA
Hale Ohana was completely remodeled in 2010. The kitchen sink (stainless steel) and countertops were upgraded (Travertine tile and granite). New wooden cabinets were installed, as well as a new oven, microwave and refrigerator. Since the major remodel, other items have been replaced (carpet) or upgraded (toasters, coffee makers, pots and pans). As the condo is frequently in use, we replace pillows, bedspreads, furniture and design elements often.

In February 2020 all interior walls were painted and the master bathroom cabinets were refinished. In May 2021 we upgraded the tile on the master lanai.

As the unit occupies the east end of Building 14, there are many more windows than a middle unit, and the trade winds flow freely (ceiling fans have been installed in each room). There is neither a unit above or below. Both bedrooms have flat panel TVs with cable. Free high-speed internet service is provided, and the living room has a Sonos audio system.

When you enter the condo, you’ll be on the ground floor, which hosts the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen, dining room and living room are on the upper level. There is an unobstructed ocean view from the upstairs and downstairs lanai, but the condo is set back far enough from the main beach that guests have lower noise and greater privacy. Both the great lawn and beach are a short 2 minute walk away.
