This one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo is bright and airy! Great top floor location provides quiet accommodations with close proximity to the ocean and pool. The fully equipped kitchen is well stocked and convenient for making meals in house. This home stays cool with a single wall timed AC unit located between the bedroom and main living area. This one bed, one bath condo sleeps four, with a Queen size bed in the bedroom and a comfortable Queen size sofa sleeper in the main living area. The master bedroom is separated from the main living area with lovely Hawaiian style plantation shutters. The bathroom includes a tub/shower combo.
This condo comes equipped with TV, cable and complimentary WiFi. My Perfect Stays provides a complimentary starter set of natural Maui made shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion.
Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala. There is an on-site coin operated laundry room. There are no resort or parking fees. Please also note, there is no elevator access at Hono Kai Resort.
This condo is managed professionally by My Perfect Stays, an on-island property management company.

Condo was everything we could ask for, clean and ready for use when we arrived, nice and quiet and a beautiful area to just relax and soak up as much sun as you would want, already planning our next stay here, as well as My Perfect Stays were right on top of anything that needed to be done.

Nice place, very well located, very central, close to the beach.
The only cons was that the manager or administrator of the building was really rude the first time we arrived at the apartment, he told my husband that our children were not welcome, maybe he was in a bad mood, i dont know, but that was kind of bummer.
although later the owner of the vrb apologized to us and had constant communication with us, it was nice to know that our problems were being addressed

The condo is extremely clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is excellent, you can visit all the beaches in the area and find nice places to eat. I highly recommend this unit.

After seeing the pictures of this condo, I was excited for my stay. Didn't feel the same way once I got there and saw the room in person. The condo definitely needs to be updated. We made sure to stay out all day; only coming back to the room to sleep. I feel that we overpaid for this room. A woman with a key also barged into our room on checkout day, hours before we even had to be out, making us feel extremely uncomfortable and causing us to rush out in fear that she would come back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean and comfortable. The location was incredibly convenient for the beach, lots of restaurants and coffee shops, and a scuba dive excursion.

The pictures showed a beautiful view of the ocean and pool and tropical vegetation from the lanai which was true! Unfortunately we could not get to the beach from the property (due to erosion). The pictures inside the condo showed a clean white carpet (the carpeting was our least favorite feature of the property) and an average bathroom. When we walked in upon arrival the carpet looked dirty and was definitely stained. The bathroom was very small and definitely outdated. We noticed the toilet would “run” after 2-3 flushes which I determined was due to the flapper falling off. I contacted the agency on Saturday, talked to someone about the problem then never heard back from them. We left on Thursday and they called after we rated them on a survey. They said they were there and had to order a part on amazon (Home Depot and Lowe’s ?). Other then that the condo was fine! Everything we needed was there and the location was central to the island.
