We had a great time here and hope to come back. The view from the room was beautiful with the ocean and beach right outside your balcony. Location- perfect with a small beach right next door and an easy walk into downtown Kona saving money and time trying to find parking!
The resort was very nice. The unit. was nice but needs a good cleaning, especially the sinks and tubs. It also has a roach problem which I am sure is common near water. The lanai area was large with a beautiful private view but the pads on the chair were very dirty as was the lanai. The unit was very well stocked with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The other issue were the stairs. The owner replied to a message stating there was an elevator but the elevator did not go to the level of the unit. there were still nine steps. For someone that is disabled that is a problem. Overall the unit really was nice, it just needs some attention.
Great condo. Everything as described. Good sized lanai with great view. Saw lots of whales jumping(?), large group spinner dolphins playing and yoga classes on the beach below us. Good sized condo with comfortable bed
A very nice place that is walking distance to Kona.
I am a disabled veteran. One of the primary reasons that I booked this property was the fact that there was an elevator. This unit was on the 4th floor. The elevator went to a spot half way between the 3rd and 4th floor. So, I had a very difficult time going up and down half a flight of stairs every time we went anywhere. Also, the Wi-Fi was nonexistent. In my confirmation I was given a network name and password that did not work. I emailed the owner to tell him and he gave me another network and password that did not work. I emailed him again and Iam still waiting for an answer. It would have been nice if the kitchen was equipped with better tools and utensils. I have to admit that the view from the lanai was spectacular and we did enjoy seeing whales every day of our 2 week stay.

This property is an excellent location with great pool and hot tub plus fantastic ocean front location with beautiful sunsets. The unit itself is reasonably well equipped but is really dated and old, needs a refresh to be rated a top 5 rating.
We booked this property primarily due to the ocean view, which was phenomenal. However, the listing for the property is inaccurate as it lists the condo having AC, but no AC exists whatsoever in the bedroom. There is only one small AC unit in the living room, which is on the opposite side of the condo from the bedroom. Honestly, while the view is great, we never would have booked this place if we knew that the bedroom didn’t have AC. We ended up sleeping on the pullout couch since that is the only room with AC. Not exactly ideal for a Hawaiian vacation.
Beyond that, the condo has generally everything you would need, but is a bit run down. The host also did not communicate with us at all beyond one message when I first booked it (ie. no message on the day we arrived to make sure everything was ok). All in all, this is a fine beach condo, and if the listing is updated to be more accurate, I think it would go a long way towards setting expectations.
Very clean and comfortable. Excellent response on anything we had a question on. Great view. Definitely would stay again.
We had a wonderful stay at Marc's condo in Kona. The location was central to everything we did during our visit to the Big Island. We were also able to walk to Kona Town, as well as the beach next door. But, the balcony was the perfect spot to watch the waves crash, in the morning and at night.
The place has supplies for nearly everything we needed. A few additional spices and kitchen supplies would be helpful.
But, overall, we had a wonderful stay in Kona and we'll be back!
