The view from the balcony was nothing short of magical. The location was perfect for walking to the beach, restaurants, or just to take a stroll. The swimming pool was close ewith easy access. It was a quiet area with friendly neighbors. The condo had everything one needed. I highly recommend!
The property is listed as a studio āpenthouseā but it is a basic studio at best. The location is good, howeverā¦-the air conditioner is totally inadequate considering the unit gets intense western sun all afternoon-the TV has 3 remotes and requires a degree in electrical engineering to operate-no dishwasher-no suitcase racks, no towel rails and many windows with no light control blinds-the main problem is there was no relaxing place to sit and relax when not sleeping in the bed.Finally, the sunsets are nice but thereās no nice place to sit comfortably to enjoy them!
Being on the 6th floor you have a perfect view to watch the sunset every night. Location was great. Right across the street from Kam 2 beach and walking distance to several food options and souvenir shops. The condo was a good size for two people. Definitely recommend staying here.

This place was perfect for what I was looking for, which was something close to Kihei food spots and beaches. The property is actually located right across from Kamaole Beach 2. Itās on the top floor so the views were also spectacular, I saw some beautiful sunsets!It had a full size fridge which was perfect for keeping some food in the room so I didnāt have to eat every meal out, and beach chairs and towels were provided so I didnāt have to pack or rent any of those things. The washer/dryer in the room were also great, I was able to launder some of my clothes while there.Itās also a short walk and drive (if youāve got a rental car) to several famous food spots, including Kihei Cafe where my friends and I had a great breakfast. Exactly what I was looking for!
A perfect way to start our time in Maui. The veiw is amazing and the breeze is excellent. We never needed to turn on the AC. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. We hope to stay here again. Loved the easy beach access and included parking and washer/dryer.Hosts we very nice and we were able to check in early which was a huge bonus.

My wife and I came to celebrate our 20th anniversary. This had an awesome ocean view and was close to multple site and restaurants. I would highly recommend for a couples retreat.

Very nice location and view of the beach. Nicely landscaped older condo complex with very friendly office staff.If you're looking for a place to chill and relax by the pool, however, this one might not be for you: there is a very active pickle ball contingent in the complex (or, at least there was the few days I was there). This was my first time using Vrbo, so otherwise, I don't have any frame of reference with which to compare; however, ostensibly, I thought the cleaning fee to be excessive, especially given the size of the condo.erather excess

The resort stresses quiet hours, but early mornings are filled with garbage collection trucks noise, birds, delivery trucks backing up. Windows in unit are glass panels that tilt when cranked, but seal noise and outside heat very poorly. The unit was very well equipped for enjoying the beach and owners were very pleasant and good communications.
Had everything we needed, great central location on Maui. The views were amazing from the balcony.

We have stayed here several times and always enjoy the view. Location is super-convenient to stores and eateries, and it is right across street from a great swimming beach.

This place is exceptional to view the Maui Sunset. Because we were here during whale season we were able to view them perfectly.
This is an excellent studio condo. Itās the perfect size for two people. The lanai view is great for watching the sunset. The property is clean and the host provides all the necessities. The beach chairs, coolers and umbrella were a big help. We loved being able to walk across the street to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a comfortable stay at this VRBO. The checkin instructions were clear and we did not have any issues during our stay. This property was one of the affordable places in the area and we loved it. It was close to the beaches and had lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. Only thing missing at this property was soaps/bodywash in the bathrooms. That was something we needed to go searching for during the first night of our stay.
My husband and I stayed 9 nights. It was the perfect location for us. We had rented a car at the airport and the free parking spot was appreciated. The condo had everything we needed for making meals but had lots of restaurants within walking distance. We loved sitting on the lanai watching the sunset and the beautiful beach was right across the street. The Kihei Akahi is beautifully landscaped and was very quiet. Perfect spot for making memories in Maui and hoping to return one day.
This was my 2nd stay at this location. It is absolutely beautiful! There is everything you need to make you feel like home. I will definitely be returning in the future. Mahalo Suzi for another amazing stay.

This is our 3rd time staying here. We come for the view, we return for the memories of happy times.
Suzi and Bryan were wonderful with communication and terrific VRBO hosts! We loved our stay and would defin. want to return.
It was an incredible place. Beautiful views, close to beaches, restaurants and pub. Had the amenities needed to relax after long days of work, will highly recommend.
Kihei, and specifically Kihei Akahi is in the perfect location (for Kam beaches & all the restaurants/stores). Then this unit is prime at the resort! The elevator was usually fast (but we used nearby stairs for workout). Loved the chairs, umbrella, and coolers. With just a few details addressed, it could easily be a 5-star location:
Pillows-We were only furnished with 4 very flat, plastic covered (the pillowcase slid off every night) bed pillows, totally inadequate for side sleepers. When I inquired about additional/better pillows we were just told that was "standard". Also, the bed is lacking padding for side-sleepers.
AC-We are very energy conscious but had to run the AC unit all the time and it barely kept up. It may be powerful but the sun beats in all afternoon and the curtains don't fully cover the west facing door so it heats up if you don't run it all day. Opening the door in the evening is the best way to cool the unit.
Wi-fi is NOT "Super-fast high speed". We had serious slow downs and interruptions several times.
Missing items-I brought whole bean coffee and unit missed a grinder as stated (perhaps taken or broken?). Thankfully, I bought ground coffee as a gift at Costco that we could use. We suggest having a clock in the unit (especially bedside) as had to find a phone to know the time. More hangers in the closet and hooks would be great to hang up wet towels, swimsuits, and clothing. I was struggling to find places that wouldn't damage wood furniture.
Great location near beaches, restaurants, and exploring the island! Condo had everything we needed. Quiet area with a perfect view. Highly recommend.
