We enjoyed our time staying here. The condo itself is dated but clean.
Great location, small lanai with big ocean views for whale watching. Centrally located. Very responsive host. On great walkable beach with sunset views from lanai
This place was filthy with mold and water damage in every room. We left after the third day. I became very ill from the filth and mold. The shower in the 2nd bathroom was broken. The ocean view is ‘partial’ at best. There were stains on the sheets and pillow cases.
Lovely area, lovely views. If you’ve read the reviews, you know what to expect. the place was more than adequate for us, but I could understand others being disappointed. I would recommend staying here if you’re an easy going person who does not get upset over the little things. I reached out to the owner a day in advance regarding the check in system so it was seamless when we arrived. I hope to return again!
This property offers all the amenities you need and more over a hotel stay! All the comforts of home plus the "beach life"you are looking for.
This is our 2nd stay at Nani Kai Hale and has yet to disappoint us.
We had a tv signal issue and Tony (God bless him) was on it right away. He came over got on the phone with the carrier and had a repairman over to fix the issue, that's service and caring!
The atmosphere is quiet and super relaxing (except the soothing crash of waves),the residents and property manager are friendly and helpful. There are no "party animal" issues here, to hamper the serenity and beauty of this property! Kathy and Dave from Alberta, Canada.
As others have said, Tony’s unit is a little shabby, but it had everthing we needed
We accidentally locked ourselves out and within 15 minutes someone came and graciously let us in.
Was in extreme need of updates. Mostly clean. Nice location. Walked to one restaurant, hawaiian ice place and farmers market. View from balcony was great. When calling property manager his voice mail was always full so you had to keep calling till he answered. Had a problem and he did come over in a timly manner and resolved the problem.
Property description was spot on, location allowed access to many of sights of Maui. The pool was awesome and the beach was beautiful. Host was very responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Unit is run down, dirty and in need of repairs/upgrades; torn couch cushions, dirty curtains, duct taped A/C in living room only, ceiling fan in living room didn’t work, fan in bedroom noisy/dangerous and missing a blade, no closets available as they were filled with stuff. Ants in kitchen, kept everything in refrigerator. Mold in tub/shower.
Common areas; pool, ocean front grass area, bbq, lounge chairs well kept.

We had a rental car which offered us the opportunity to explore everything Maui has to offer. If you are a couple looking for a nice place to celebrate a 70th birthday this is not the place for you.

Overall it was a good stay. The Vrbo listing did not have the unit number and when we got there I tried to call the owner with no answer. Had to actually call the property to get the unit #
The unit was clean except for tiny ants in the kitchen. There was not food or anything there for the ants though.

If you're looking for a place in Maui directly on the beach with a nice pool but you're on a budget, this is the place for you. It's on a beautiful beach with awesome sunsets. The patio on the beach has tables, BBQ grills and lounge chairs. There is also a very nice pool. If you're looking for a luxury condo this is not it, the place could use some updating but if you're staying inside while in Maui, you're a fool.

This little condo is right on the beach with a private pool and viewing deck of the sunset.
The photos are of the unit but must have been taken long ago. All insect screens are ripped. Master bedroom has two bandaids to cover one of the larger holes. Not sure why they decided to use a bandaid to patch screen windows.
Sofa has holes. Bedroom TV has tape on the buttons and does not work. Baseboards missing and don’t appear to have been cleaned in between bookings. Curtains are filthy. My son went behind them and came back covered in filth and dust.
Outside of the unit everything else was great. Location, beach, building, everything outside of the unit was beautiful. The unit itself is terrible.
We were very pleased with the condo. Needs updating and deep cleaning but nice accommodations for the little time we spent there. The location and view were awesome! Enjoyed every minute. Our host was accommodating and answered all our questions in a timely matter.
The property the unit is on is beautiful and well kept. The unit 306 is filthy and unhealthy. I took photos to show the filth and repairs needed. The photos on VRBO must have been taken 30 years ago. NEVER recommend this unit.
The location is nice. The pool, grassy area and beach were the best part! The condo was old, could have been cleaned better (sand on floor upon arriving, shutter style closet doors disgusting with dirt and grime) but it did have a full kitchen and two baths. I wish they had put a little more money into the beds. In the king bed you felt every move and it made noise that woke you up. The sofa bed was saggy and uneven causing us to put our heads at the wrong end. Since you basically just sleep there, it would have been nice to be comfortable and get a good night sleep. With all that being said, we paid hardly nothing for our 12 nights and we had a great vacation exploring the island!!
