We enjoyed our time staying here. The condo itself is dated but clean.
Great location, small lanai with big ocean views for whale watching. Centrally located. Very responsive host. On great walkable beach with sunset views from lanai
This place was filthy with mold and water damage in every room. We left after the third day. I became very ill from the filth and mold. The shower in the 2nd bathroom was broken. The ocean view is ‘partial’ at best. There were stains on the sheets and pillow cases.
Few steps down to the beach
Lovely area, lovely views. If you’ve read the reviews, you know what to expect. the place was more than adequate for us, but I could understand others being disappointed. I would recommend staying here if you’re an easy going person who does not get upset over the little things. I reached out to the owner a day in advance regarding the check in system so it was seamless when we arrived. I hope to return again!
This property offers all the amenities you need and more over a hotel stay! All the comforts of home plus the "beach life"you are looking for.
This is our 2nd stay at Nani Kai Hale and has yet to disappoint us.
We had a tv signal issue and Tony (God bless him) was on it right away. He came over got on the phone with the carrier and had a repairman over to fix the issue, that's service and caring!
The atmosphere is quiet and super relaxing (except the soothing crash of waves),the residents and property manager are friendly and helpful. There are no "party animal" issues here, to hamper the serenity and beauty of this property! Kathy and Dave from Alberta, Canada.
As others have said, Tony’s unit is a little shabby, but it had everthing we needed
We accidentally locked ourselves out and within 15 minutes someone came and graciously let us in.
The room was older. Location was excellent. Beautiful view of the ocean and easy access . I misplaced my key to the condo and the owner drove out and gave me a replacement.
My biggest issue was the windows were filthy. My first morning was spent cleaning them as I hate looking out dirty windows. I probably could have called the owner to resolve this issue, but there were cleaning supplies and I was eager to get it done.
Overall, I had a great stay and would stay there again.
Was in extreme need of updates. Mostly clean. Nice location. Walked to one restaurant, hawaiian ice place and farmers market. View from balcony was great. When calling property manager his voice mail was always full so you had to keep calling till he answered. Had a problem and he did come over in a timly manner and resolved the problem.
The location on Sugar Beach was AMAZING!
The grounds and community area was beautiful!
Lots of outdoor furniture and BBQs.

The Condo was clean and had everything we needed……But all furnishings were Vintage and in need of an UPDATE!!!! A coat of paint would make a huge difference!!! And a NEW SOFA!
Property description was spot on, location allowed access to many of sights of Maui. The pool was awesome and the beach was beautiful. Host was very responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Never stayed in Maalea but had a small home in Kiehei.
This is economy digs in a great property on the beach. I stayed with just my kids and I. It was comfortable enough to sleep and cook in and we spent the rest of our days exploring and playing at the beach. Tony, our host, was such a gracious host and we will definitely stay here again. This property made it affordable for me to bring my kids to Maui!
Unit is run down, dirty and in need of repairs/upgrades; torn couch cushions, dirty curtains, duct taped A/C in living room only, ceiling fan in living room didn’t work, fan in bedroom noisy/dangerous and missing a blade, no closets available as they were filled with stuff. Ants in kitchen, kept everything in refrigerator. Mold in tub/shower.
Common areas; pool, ocean front grass area, bbq, lounge chairs well kept.
Unfortunately not the unit didn’t live up to the advertised pictures.
