Great location, great communal grounds — disappointingly little done to update the unit itself.
Word of advice to owner: spend a fraction of your profit on the unit to help it enter the 21st Century!!
This accommodation was a perfect place for two of us to work and play. It offered a modest kitchen equipped with the basics, a living area and street-view lanai just big enough for the two of us to remote-work comfortably. The internet was strong.
The location is bomb - 5 min walk to the closest beach where we caught the sunset almost every eve, 20-30 min walk to other surfable waikiki beaches, the play part of our adventure. Also it was close to 2 bike-share stations that we used every day. The bottom floor has a host of shops that were super convenient for our extended stay. Can't wait to come back.
Easy checkin/checkout. Good communication leading up to booking. Liked the sliding screen to divide bedroom from living room. Peering into other units, this one could use an update, but was suitable enough. All of the knives in the unit are serrated, which makes food prep difficult-I think the owner should update those. The kitchen sink was missing a plug.
I loved the easy checkin and checkout the view was nice and the Hawaiian calls off the balcony was super special to experience and it was walking distance to everything
We knew that this property hadn’t been renovated but it was the perfect location for us and a good price. It was clean and comfortable. Better than a hotel room - it was nice to have a full kitchen! Had a great view of the mountains. Lots of traffic noise when we had the door open to the deck, but we are used to that at home.
It wasn't the easiest process.
Emailed correspondence, I rented the property, they sent me a keycode.....easy.
Un-remodeled (since 1964) but I guess any upgrade would make it more expensive. Furniture/beds/linens are new, and everything works, so we had a great time.
Location and resort was good. The unit had a bad musty/moldy smell. It’s a non updated unit.
