This Unique property showcases a 153 foot ocean facing deck with luxurious indoor/outdoor Hawaiian style living. Everything is completely redone and modernized. You could be swimming in Kealakekua Bay, world famous for its spinner dolphins, in less than 3 minutes from the house. The property is also close to renowned Two Steps and directly across the bay from the historical Captain Cook Monument. It is incredibly private and far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kailua Kona to truly relax.
This absolutely one of a kind property comfortably sleeps 6 adults. There are 3 king size beds and one pull out queen. There are 3 freshly remodeled full bathrooms. And a brand new kitchen. We also have 2 comfortable roll away beds for extra guests for a additional fee. There are two safes for valuables as well.
The house is located on a private road. There is a 9 p.m. noise ordinance for the neighborhood. Noise travels very easily in the bay, you might not see people but you can still hear them. You can always go inside if you want to stay up later.
As you come in through the entryway the open tropical style of the place will immediately hit you. The archway through the living room provides uninterrupted views of the bay and the setting sun. The spacious living room provides sleeping space with a king size murphy bed and a full bath. The two master bedrooms both have king size beds which also have incredible views of the bay. But the best part of the house are the unique bathrooms with epic views of the ocean. The fully stocked kitchen is indoor/outdoor and completely modern. Sitting around the island stove preparing a dinner in a group and watching the sunset over the Pacific was a highlight for all the guests we have had.
The property is located in a very quiet and private area at the bottom of beautiful Kealakekua Bay overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is an easy scenic twenty minute ride to the town of Kailua Kona, where you can find many options for restaurants and entertainment. The closest supermarket to the house is called Choice Mart, it's about a ten minute drive from the house, they have good local produce and local fresh fish.
There is a cat that has made the property her home and is the most affectionate animal ambassador we could hope for. She is an outdoor cat but very friendly and she loves people. We ...

Our family had a wonderful stay in this crazy amazing home. The property is beautiful, and spacious. The view of the Captain Cook monument and bay is stunning. Palea the cat is cool she shows up couple times a day to be friendly and get a snack. Kids loved her. The house is BIG. You are an overlooking one of the best snorkeling reefs. Laundry was nice and the bathrooms- just wow! Thanks Gus for your hospitality. We hope to return here in the future.

This home is unlike any other place I have stayed. It is exactly as described but I just couldn’t picture it. The winding scenic drive getting there was beautiful in itself but once we swung open the bamboo gates and stepped inside, the view (times perfectly at sunset) was breathtaking. The home had everything we needed and nice quality. The linens and towels were nice and the beds were very comfortable. It’s a first to have an outdoor kitchen like that and we loved it. There is an outdoor daybed that I would’ve loved to have taken home! Gus was easily accessible and answered all our questions. I was a little nervous about the reviews mentioning bugs, but being from Louisiana, it was nothing. Would most definitely stay here again.

Such a cool open air experience in Hawaii, so much room for 6 adults to spread out and relax. Spectacular view of K-bay and sunsets. Gus & Maggie are A++.

We stayed at this property for 7 nights. It was the absolutely most perfect place for us. It was amazing. Between the flowering tropical plants, the open kitchen and the deck that runs the entire length of the home, the amazing weather and gorgeous views, we didn't want to leave. Gus was great. Attentive, and offered suggestions when we asked. There is a covered parking area for your vehicle. The house was very well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, too. We didn't have problems with bugs. We kept the lights low at night in the open areas. We kept the house open and the breeze did an excellent job of keeping the indoor spaces quite comfortable. My husband and I spent most of the mornings sipping our coffee and watching the kayaks and some swimmers! heading across the bay towards the Captain Cook monument. The area was very quiet, which was perfect for us. Our kids loved Paele, the house cat. She was very friendly, and showed up for pets and the occasional snack. Be sure to read the handbook for the home. It contained lots of useful info about stores, restaurants and beaches. We enjoyed Manini Beach. The caretaker there was very friendly and told us about the area and the community gardens. It was a great place to watch the sunset. We are so glad that we stayed at this property. It exceeded all of our expectations.

We had an incredible vacation at this amazing home. Really, one of a kind and words cannot describe the experience. We are very outdoors-y people and LOVED the emersion in nature that this home offers. The open air was incredible and the view from the deck was surreal. We loved all of the quirks, including the bugs and geckos that became part of our vacation experience. And Pa'ele the kitty was so sweet and so much fun (with evening entertainment of her wild kitty hunting excursions). We also loved the local beach (Manini beach) which is about at 10-15 minute walk from the house down the roads and driveways through the beautiful scenery. We like to be in the water snorkeling and Manini did not disappoint (even saw an octopus twice while snorkeling). The local beach hosts were incredible and helped to keep the beach quiet and peaceful as part of the Hawaii culture. You can also relax on the grass--not your typical sand beach, which isn't our thing anyways. But if you are a lay in the sand beach person, this beach may not be your thing. If you are looking for an air conditioned resort with all of the amenities of a pampered vacation, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a one of a kind Hawaii experience with nature, this place is out of this world. We love the Honaunau-Napoopoo area of the big island-- much better than the north Kona area and other resort areas of the island. Gus was an amazing host- we will def come back when we visit Hawaii!
