Enhance your Big Island experience with a stay at this beautiful, custom designed home on Mt. Hualalai. Located on a secluded park-like setting only 15 minutes from the Kona International Airport, at a very comfortable elevation of 1600 feet. With close proximity (approximately 10 minutes) to Kailua-Kona and it's many shops, restaurants, beaches, golf courses and hiking trails. A perfect place from which to begin your exploration of all that the Big Island has to offer!
This home features cedar ceiling in the great room, fireplace, custom Monkey Pod cabinetry throughout, quartz stone flooring along with wood floor in the great room and carpet in the bedrooms. Kitchen is fully equipped and includes Sub-Zero refrigerator, Wolf oven, stove and microwave.
With 2,000 sq.ft. of living area, including lanai, each suite offers a queen bed, full bathroom and closet. Laundry room and powder room (1/2 bath) finish out the interior. While we can accommodate two couples, one is preferred and pricing reflects one couple.
** A second couple may join the reservation for an additional amount of $100 per day, along with an added $50 to the cleaning fee for a total of $200 for cleaning.**
Great views of the coastline and sunsets amid the many Sharwil (premium Hawaiian) avocado trees, lemons, tangerines, papayas, bananas and pineapple plants. There's also a garden with herbs to enhance your home cooked meals. Gas BBQ included as well.
Beach chairs, beach umbrella and ice chest provided for your convenience.

Great place love the location. I been traveling to the Big Island a few times a year for over 3 decades. Pam’s place is perfect is about all I can say.

We are so lucky to have come across Wahine Hale and call it home for our vacation to the Big Island! The house was immaculate, perfectly located, stocked with every household and beach item we needed...and then some. Most importantly, an extremely beautiful and peaceful hale. I cannot wait for my next trip to the Big Island; hopefully I am lucky enough to be able to stay at the Wahine Hale. Mahalo Pam!

My wife and I had the privilege to stay at Pam’s gorgeous house for our honeymoon! This was our first time visiting Hawaii, and neither one of us can imagine a better place to stay, than here. The house is even more stunning in-person than the pictures can convey! We were awestruck by the sunsets, the lush trees, the wildlife (geckos, toads, birds, and roosters), the carefully cared-for gardens, and every little detail that Pam has curated inside. Pam was incredibly kind, she worked with our schedule and met us for a tour of her home; she also left us fresh fruit, Kona coffee, chocolate, and muffins! Her house is very secluded and private while also being perfectly situated for exploring the island. Our favorite aspect of staying here was that it felt like we were living on the island, not just visiting — Pam made us feel welcome and perfectly at-home, we had a fully stocked kitchen to cook and bake in, and we were simply able to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Best experience looking down on Kailua-Kona. The grounds on the property had Lemons, Limes Avocados, Oranges , Papayas and Bananas that could be picked and eaten straight from the trees. The Host Pam was gracious accomodating and very helpful throughout our stay. HIghly recommend this House as a great vacation spot!

From moment one, we instantly knew we had selected the perfect home base for our first trip to Hawaii. Pam greeted us with warm Aloha, a brief tour of the home & even had set our fresh fruit & Kona coffee for us! The property is wonderfully private looking out over lower country & to the sea! We spent each evening on the rear deck soaking it all in. Inside is just as fabulous too. The ambiance, details, cleanliness, flawlessly stocked home made our 11 days feel like there wasn’t a care in the world other than pure joy! We truly recommend this property if you’re considering the Big Island. Location is terrific for setting out daily on excursions to all areas of the island. We can’t rate it high enough. Mahalo, Pam & Kitty (sweet little cat who visits the grounds). We are so grateful for your willingness to share your piece of Heaven on Earth with us!

Pam was amazing start to finish. We could not have felt more welcome and take care of. Pam communicated everything we needed to know. Pam personally welcomed us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of the house and gave us some great recommendations for places to visit. Everything was perfect! My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend two weeks in this wonderful home. We loved the peace and quiet of this tropical retreat perched on the mountainside with vast ocean views, cooler temps and lush vegetation. The house itself is lovely, spacious and tastefully decorated in a Hawaiian theme. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and we loved having breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the evening on the lanai looking out to the ocean. We felt very much at home and enjoyed just spending time on the property. I also enjoyed our visits from the sweet outdoor kitty. The location is very convenient, being about 15 minutes from town or the beaches. We have rented many vrbo properties over about 15 years, and this was definitely one of our best stays. Pam was very gracious and gave us a tour upon arrival. She also allowed us a late checkout so we could spend our day at the house instead of at the airport, which was very much appreciated. We hope to return to Wahine Hale!

A beautiful house and surroundings on the mountainside. The attention to detail is amazing. The porch is great for coffee in the morning, a nap in the afternoon or cocktails at sunset. The house is sparkling clean and well equipped. Pam is a great host. She met us on arrival and and provided a short tour and tips.
We enjoyed our time at the house and would definitely return.
