Perfect relaxing location. We really enjoyed venturing out in the mornings and relaxing at the beach in the afternoon. The owners were very helpful and available if needed. We will definitely we coming back and staying at the same place.
We’re thrilled to give this VRBO a 10 of 10, as it exceeded all our expectations. We walked in the door and were instantly drawn to the mesmerizing view of the ocean! The location is excellent within the island and within the development. The view of the beach is as lovely as it appears in the pictures (and yes, they let you walk and play on the grass). The grounds are beautifully manicured with plenty of beautiful flowers, bushes and trees all landscaped to sooth the soul! This 2nd floor location provides a clear view of it all AND even the lava rocks and sand seem to have been artistically arranged on the beach by God Himself. With a deck that has two comfortable chairs for lounging and a taller table with 4 chairs so you can view the scenery without obstruction from the porch railing.All the furniture inside the unit is more comfortable than it appears in the pictures, and airflow through the unit was refreshing. We were concerned that the unit might be too warm, as there is air conditioning only in the bedroom, but our concern was unfounded. We only used the AC at night and were very comfortable throughout the unit for the rest of the day. From the deck (lanai?), we watched people enjoying the ocean throughout the day, while we ourselves made use of the lovely swimming pool nearly every day. If you need the laundromat, or the tennis court, they are both close at hand.The host was outstanding both via phone or text! We would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed the Lae Nani Resort. The condo was very clean and very well equipped. We loved spending mornings and evenings on the lanai. The location is wonderful. We were able to walk for food and beverage every night, which was very convenient after long days exploring the beautiful island of Kauai. We hope to be back again.

We have stayed in VRBOs from Maine to Molokai and this is one of the best if not the best unit we have stayed in. This is a fantastic condo. It was immaculate, comfortable ,quiet, well equipped (like good quality tissues, tp, paper towels). Also, sharp knives & reasonable kitchen equipment, beach chairs, towels, comfy sofa & chairs on the lanai. Staff we interacted with were lovely. When the VRBO site was being wonky and not letting us make reservations, Howard tried valiantly to help us while the VRBO tech staff took their sweet time (but it was eventually fixed and we successfully made our reservation). Loved the location near a nice walking path. Could walk to a number of restaurants and shops & not too long a drive to northern beaches or points south. Great pool, big enough for lap swimming. We truly hope to return here soon.

We loved our stay at Lae Nani. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We ate out on the balcony almost every night. The beautiful view was too good to pass up!
Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the overall location of the condo is good for exploring the whole island.
Howard and Patti were great hosts. They were easy to contact when needed and very accommodating.
The condo is centrally located and complete with all amenities including swimming pool , shared laundry , tennis /pickle ball court. The grounds/property were immaculate and secure. The unit was very tastefully decorated and had everything needed to make great meals.The king size bed was very comfortable as was the bathroom. A/C unit in the bedroom was very much appreciated.The location being ocean front had amazing views from the lani & kitchen while preparing meals. This is truly a paradise
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful condo. The views from both inside and outside on the lanai were outstanding. The location was great and allowed for short walks to many great restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, breweries, and cocktail places. The owners welcome book had many recommendations with their favorite restaurants, etc. and we tried many of them and loved them all. The owners were very easy to communicate with and were accommodating with our check out time. We had the best week and can’t wait to come back. Cannot recommend this rental enough!
We loved our stay at Lae Nani 423! When we come back to Kauai, we will stay here again. The view from the balcony was so beautiful, we loved watching the ocean and listening to the waves right in front of us. The condo was much bigger and nicer than the pictures can show. It's an easy walk to Coconut Marketplace (like a small outdoor mall) with shops and restaurants. A mile away is Russell's with the best acai bowls. The location was perfect for exploring the island. The air conditioner in the bedroom was excellent and appreciated. The king sized bed was comfortable. We wouldn't change a thing.
We’d had an incredible stay! The location was great for us and very manageable to get to both sides of the island. The beach right out front of the unit was so peaceful and not crowded. The unit was spacious with plenty of other accessories like beach chairs, coolers, nice coffee maker, etc. Great place to spend our honeymoon and plan on returning soon!
Unit is as beautiful as photos represent. Proximity to the ocean and view of is perfect. Landscaping is lovely and well maintained. Fortunately the early morning (3:00 a.m.) rooster calls were not nearby. The pool is large and clean.
Unfortunately the temperatures in mid September were about 5 degrees higher than normal with the humidity about the same. The building is set back from the ocean & there was little to no breeze. The only livable space was the air conditioned bedroom. When not out on excursions, shopping, or at the pool, we had to spend way more time in the bedroom than in the lovely living / dining room or kitchen. This, despite 4 fans running. All they circulated was hot and humid air. The owners agreed that it was unseasonably hot and recommended that we return later in the year. Our neighbors shared our misery & together we decided to leave our front doors open to hopefully get some circulation. It didn’t help.
We were disappointed to have a much anticipated vacation marred by so much discomfort & will not choose partial AC again.
Our thanks to our hosts for their hospitality and responsiveness. They can’t control the weather.
The property was well maintained and equipped for our stay. We really appreciated the outreach from the owners before our stay. The furniture was comfortable and felt like home. The Lae Nani location can't be beat for access to services, especially with the Lava Lava Beach Club right next door.
Property as described with quite atmosphere. Centrally located on the island with anything you need nearby. Great ocean view from a nice sized lanai with nice furniture. Air-conditioned bedroom with a firm king mattress. The kitchen was well appointed and had more than we needed. The property grounds were well cared for and the hosts and onsite office staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.
Well when we arrived the condo has a bad smell and the bathroom especially was not very clean the shower was not clean and the sink had black rim around the plug and both bathroom sinks needed to be cleaned. The microwave was not working. The beach chair we a joke one was broke and I he other one can’t be called a chair. We did let the owner know and he offered to have it cleaned but I do not want someone to come in and bother us.they did fix the microwave. Didn’t complain about the chairs to him. We had a wonderful time and we enjoyed the condo. Just needs to cleaned a little better. And chairs need to be updated. Yes we would stay there again.
My husband and I traveled to Kauai to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The most important things we were looking for in lodging were the view and AIR CONDITIONING to sleep. Upon arrival, the portable AC in the master bedroom was not working. In trying to save the owner trouble, my husband did some troubleshooting, looked up the manual online etc. It did not improve.
So after trying to solve ourselves, we contacted to owner.
The first thing he said was, "the last renters said there seemed to be an issue with the AC." After this second complaint from us...instead of getting us a working AC as soon as possible, he went down the warranty path. By the time he realized he couldn't get a new one through that route and got a new one to us, we were on our last night. We did not sleep well for 8/9 nights of our 30th anniversary trip. It was 85 degrees outside.
I understand wanting to check into warranty process. Yet, really- with the amount we spent on this lodging, the AC should have been fixed or replaced within 24 hours and he could work on refunds and warranties for unit later.
The shower is tiled, and since no AC , it had some mildew and there was no way to truly dry that room out.
Also note, we thought there was a washer/dryer inside unit- there is not- there is a shared laundry room on the property.
We tried to settle this directly with the owner but he would not even offer a slight discount or a partial refund

Location! Location! Location! Love the view from the high- top table on the lanai. This unit is nicely furnished, and the complex is centrally located close to restaurants, farmer's markets, shopping and beaches. Very comfortable. We have stayed in this unit before and hope to return again!
Location on island made easy access to our activities in the North, South, East, and West! Lovely condo on beautiful grounds, great beach.

Condo was wonderful. The kitchen had everthing we could want. The view and the grounds are spectacular. It is a good location and I would stay here again. We did not use the air conditioner. The ceiling fans and the window vents worked great.
Property was absolutely beautiful. Great head on view of the ocean. Everything was spotless. We would definitely recommend it to everyone.
My wife and I stayed at 423 Lae Nani for one week in January of 2024 and it did not disappoint in the least! Beautiful views, pool and ocean adjacent, and with shopping and food only a short walk away! Perfect for your garden island getaway! We left feeling refreshed and ready to face real life again in the cold winter of Central Oregon! Being Near Kapaa is a great location for visitin Kauai as well, you are fairly equidistant from the north shore and the south shore with access to Waimea canyon. We kept thinking we would visit other beaches to swim but why bother when you are in such a lovely locale to begin with. We loved having a full home and kitchen so we could cook some great home cooked meals with fresh fish from the Fish market in Koloa and having breakfast on the lanai each day looking out at the ocean was just wonderful. It cost a little extra but it was worth it!
The condo was clean and comfortable (in addition to being well stocked in kitchen ware and basic condiments). The location can't be beat, the beach and pool were both very nice. Lots of shopping (Coconut Maketplace) and restaurants close by.
The property was manicured daily. The pool is large and the location couldn't be better. Walk to a half-dozen restaurants, instant ocean-access, plenty of secure parking and the condo was well-equipped.
This place... We saw it right away when we began our search. It looked fantastic, but how often is the first place you see the right one? We kept search; and kept coming back to Lae Nani 423 and finally realized it was the best of the bunch in terms of quality and overall value. But, would it actually be as good as it appears on VRBO?
Yes, perhaps even better! The photos and description are accurate; beautiful, comfortable and well-stocked interior and a wonderful lanai from which to gaze at the ocean, eat a relaxing meal, or just enjoy the beautiful grounds. We walked two minutes to the beach to watch the sunrise each morning. The Lava Lava Club is just minutes away on foot; great for breakfast, happy hour or dinner.
We wanted a place to serve as a base of operations to see most of the enchanted island and also a quiet sanctuary to just relax and enjoy some down time. This beautiful condo was perfect on both counts.
Howard was clear, thorough and timely with his pre-check-in communication and the check out instructions were easy to follow. We hope to be back; perhaps next time for two weeks.
