Maui Sands 4E is a Beautiful 2 bedroom, 1 bath, Air Conditioned Direct Oceanfront Condominium. This unit is as close to the spectacular Maui ocean as you can get!
From December through April, enjoy a perfect vantage point from the Lanai for viewing the arrival of the humpback whales making their way between Maui and Molokai in the Pailolo Channel. Other times, watch the spinner dolphins dance by and the tropical fish dart about in the reef and our "daily" green sea turtles as they pop their heads up while they travel along the reef.
If Paka’a (Hawaiian god of the wind) decides to take a day off, we have provided a mini-split air conditioning system for the living area plus each of the two bedrooms. Use them as you need but please enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian tradewinds when he is on duty!
With the expansive sliding glass door open, the extra wide living room/dining is an extension of the 24 foot wide Lanai where you can enjoy the enticing views and the beautiful sounds of the ocean waves that are music to the ears. View the most spectacular sunsets Maui has to offer right from the Lanai. Lanai is furnished with a lounge chair, 4 chairs and table.
Decorated in Hawaiian-style with lots of rattan, the colors of the room reflect the surroundings of sea and sand. Original art, a sofa, matching chair with ottoman, along with accompanying tables and lamps provide comfort and convenience. In addition, cable TV and free wifi are available to enjoy after spending a day exploring the nearby attractions or more of the island of Maui.
The two bedrooms can comfortably sleep 4 guests, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. Both beds are fitted with memory foam mattresses. The "king" bedroom also includes its own cable TV.
At the Maui Sands condo, you can dine inside at the kitchen counter, at the dining table for four inside or on the Lanai - each with views of the ocean and sunsets. Dining oceanfront on the Lanai is a treat where you can enjoy a dinner with a spectacular sunset directly in front of you.
The kitchen of this condo at the Maui Sands is provided with beautiful oak cabinetry. The granite countertops provide an elegant backdrop while you relax at the bar stools and enjoy pupus and perhaps a Mai Tai. The kitchen is fully-stocked with the appliances, utensils, and cookware needed to prepare your meal for and includes new appliances, a range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, rice maker and blender.
Enjoy you own meals with beautiful dishes and glassware. Bright, natural lighting provides ideal illumination for meal preparation and, of course, since the kitchen is open to the living room and dining room, there are the ever present sounds and beauty of the Pacific Ocean....

Fantastic condo! Quiet, well kept complex with friendly neighbors. Loved the area with everything we needed just steps away. The view is unbeatable with whales, turtles and dolphins passing by daily. Condo was clean and very functional with all the beach necessities provided - two Tommy Bahama beach chairs, plenty of towels, mats, coolers, toys, etc. Beds were very comfortable and we slept quite well. A/C units in all the rooms but we never needed them as we were there in March and there was plenty of cool breeze. Kitchen was great and stocked with all necessary appliances. Can’t wait to return!! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Thank you for everything! We are a family of 4 and had such an amazing time in Maui! Waking up and watching the whales from the balcony and watching the sunset every night was so amazing! The beds were comfy the rooms were the perfect temperature with air conditioning and fans! We loved hearing the waves and opening all the windows to see the views! We loved being the corner unit! We felt very safe and comfortable! It has all the beach toys from 2 different size coolers, 2 chairs, snorkeling gear, and more! Along with kitchen spices and coffee and all the stuff you need, even a flat iron and hair products!! Above and beyond! Would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day! Oh and the directions to the unit were perfect and Laura was easy to communicate with! Thank you so much! Can’t say enough it was so perfect! We got delayed and stayed at the Fairmont hotel for a night but we all preferred Laura’s place over the fancy Fairmont! :) :o

You will not regret your stay here! The view is phenomenal, and it is well equipped with everything you might need, including boogie boards, snorkel gear, sand chairs, sand toys etc. etc. Unit was clean, updated, and well furnished. Host Laura was quick to respond when our flight was delayed, and arranged a late check out for us. The only comment or observation to share with someone else booking, is that because the unit is very close to the ocean, the sound of the waves is loud. While enjoyable most of the stay, our daughter had a difficult time sleeping on the sofa. The bedrooms are further away, and were quiet.

- older complex, also well maintained (but if you are looking for something posh, this definitely isn't the Fairmont Kea Lani)
- very close to the water, beautiful view
- noisy due to surf proximity and shuttered screens at the front; bedrooms are pretty good for noise;
- living room pullout is noisy when tide and surf are up (booming waves); pullout isn't great for comfort
- neighbourhood is good for groceries, cafes; not great for direct access to nice walking or good beach access (that being said, in ten minutes walk you can be on Kaanapali)
- water access in front of condo-plex is limited due to reef and surf; beautiful though, with greens and blues in water; Molokai across the channel; occasional humpbacks and turtles
- owner/agent was helpful and responsive

Everything and more than we hoped for in a vacation property. Get in the ocean or get in the pool. Amazing sunsets and moon sets. Awesome neighborhood for food/coffee choices. I started to call the stretch of water off the lanai “The Turtle Highway”. Great communication with the property owner on any questions. The location is truly one of Maui’s jewels.

The property blew our minds. We absolutely enjoy this day. The only issue we had was a shower tonight drain very good. I contacted the owner and she said she would get that fixed.

We had a great time at this condo. It was clean and had all the things we needed to have a great vacation. The lanai was perfect for eating breakfast or just lounging during the day. Access to the beach was very convenient. We loved being able to just go down to ocean anytime and swim.
The condo had dishes, pots and pans, and tons of appliances to make meals. It was stocked with spices and condiments as well. There were beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards you can use.
Overall we had a great time here and would definitely come back again!

This property was clean, right on the beach and had an amazing pool. Owner was super friendly and this location was fantastic.

Laura's place is a masterclass in VRBOs. Yes, the view is that stunning, and way more. Yes, the roar of the ocean is right outside the lanai, and we waded and snorkeled every day. There are mango and banana trees right outside the apartment, and the uncrowded complex in general is ideally located right across the street from an incredible fish market and only 10 minutes from Lahaina Town. But also, we've stayed at a lot of VRBOs, and the thoughtfulness put into every detail is next level. The gift of chocolates and coffee; the supplies in the kitchen; the QR code for the wifi; the complete stock of beach toys and snorkeling gear; all the towels; the stock of toiletries including coral-safe sunblock; the multiple guides to Maui; the outlets just where you need them; the ease of check-in and communication: WOW. Great visit! We spent two weeks here and of course loved it. The spectacular views and breath taking sunsets speek for themselves! There is much more that sets this unit apart from the others. This was our third time staying in this building.. but first time in "4E"
The new AC.... in unit laundry... and fully stocked activity closet add to a great stay.
Property manager was great, super helpfull but not intrusive. She went above and beyond to help our family out of a pinch!!!

Listening to waves and watching whales, boats and turtles was very enjoyable from the lanai. All amenities of home to cook your own meals. Things also to enjoy the outdoors, such as chairs, coolers, beach towels and boogie boards. Excellent home away from home!!
