Great place, friendly host, has air conditioning in two of the bedrooms. The kitchen utensils are well stocked, albeit somewhat random. Overall I couldn't find a better place for the price.
Property was as described & location near Poipu Beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Excellent communication from host & kindness extended when incident occured that completely my fault.
This house was pretty much the perfect size for my wife and two kids. The property was very clean and had all of the amenities listed. Although of note, the listing did state that there was no air conditioning, however there was a window A/C unit in the master bedroom, which was very nice. We stayed in Kauai during the month of August so it was a bit warm in the other parts of the house so just be aware of that.
We enjoyed our stay. This house is at an excellent location. It is very quiet with nice neighbors. You can reach each sides of the island and makes it very convenient to sight see the island. It would be nice to have air conditioning in living room.
Check in procedures were very simple and easy to follow. The kitchen had all the things to prepare meals if needed.
We had a great trip to Kauai. You definitely want to use Makana charters for your boat ride to Na Pali.The property was in a good location and quiet (other than the roosters that are everywhere in kauai :) ). Technically you can walk to the beach --- but better to drive than carry all the beach stuff. The property provided all the beach gear you could this of.I didn't read the amenities carefully enough - there is no dishwasher and air conditioning is only in the master. The lack of A/C was only an issue when we first arrived -- once we opened the windows the kauai breezes made it cooler.
The house was beautiful and open! It was perfect for my family and within minutes if everything we needed.
Recently we spent a week at Hale Ohana - family and friends. It felt like home! Comfortable and cozy inside with plenty of space, beautiful and relaxing - green! - back yard! Naturally we didn’t spend much time in the house but while being there we didn’t miss anything, all amenities and necessities were present. Close to good food and beautiful beaches , great for snorkeling.
We were very pleased with our recent stay at Hale Ohana. The place is exactly as advertised, The home is stocked with everything you could need for a great stay, including beach supplies for all! We didn't cook, but if we had, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. There are plenty of fans and enough air flow to make up for no air conditioning. We could, and did, walk to the beach and some other nice walks from the house. Thanks for a great stay!

The host has obviously made every effort to equip the house with everything you need for a care-free stay. The kitchen has high quality cooking essentials. The appliances are new, including a washer and dryer. Furnishing are also high quality and tasteful. There is even a collection of beach and ocean gear. There is a wealth of local information in a three ring binder and several hiking books. The house is nicely decorated with collectibles and other items that add to a comfy feel.If I ever make another trip to Kaua'i I would definitely stay at Hale Ohana again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Ohana. The rooms were all spacious and the beds comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved how close it was to the beach and everything else we wanted to explore in the South and West Shores. I would definitely book here again.
Family of 4 + Grandma for one week at Hale Ohana. It was so spacious, clean, breezy, and everything for the beach, cooking, and all the misc stuff you forget you need. The lanai and back yard were so relaxing. The neighborhood is really quiet and we appreciated being out of the tourist corridor of condos. Highly recommend for all and hope to return ahain

This house was great for our family of four!
The yard had avocado, mango, lime, and breadfruit trees and some were ripe in June. The residential neighborhood was pretty good. The house next door had active construction and a screaming baby with all windows open but stuff like that is to be expected. The A/C window unit in the master bedroom was nice. Other two bedrooms got cool enough to sleep in with all windows open by about 9pm so one of our kids needed to fall asleep in the master bedroom due to time change. Everyone was awakened by roosters by 5:30am since windows were open. Small shady patio out back was nice too. There was a small desk for remote work!
We drove to Poipu Beach (cool turtles and monk seals!) but I suppose you could describe it as walkable, although we didn't see more than a couple of people walking. Also within a 10min drive were Brenneckes Beach, Shipwreck Beach, a cool cave, hike along lithified cliffs and turtle sanctuary. No walkable restaurants but kitchen had everything we needed to cook.
The owner was very helpful and responsive when we needed something.

It was very large. It was perfect for our needs. Everyone enjoyed it. We did not find a hot tub as was listed on ad.
The house was clean and within walking distance to poipu beach, lots of beach toys and snorkeling stuff. The only problem i had which wasn't even a big deal and probably a user error was getting the code to work on the front door but there was an alternative way to be able to get in by using the garage code. Overall the house was amazing and i would definitely stay here again.

We had a glorious week on Kauai with our grandchildren. Complete with whales,turtles,seals snorkeling and even surfing on our last day. We came “ home” to Hale Ohana after very full days of fun in the sun. The beach equipment was appreciated and helpful too. We would love to come back.
