We think our condo will be everything you are looking for to have a perfect vacation. #214 is located on the second floor; close enough to the ground to watch all the local bird and quail activity across the property grounds and yet high enough to offer extensive views of the boats on the ocean, colorful water sports and humpback whales breaching in season (Dec – April). Every sunset is different and can be seen from different vantage points from either of the private lanais off the living room or master bedroom.

This condo is the largest floor plan available; don't be fooled, but look at this closely - most 2BR/2Bath units at Kauhale Makai are 799 sq. ft. Only a few units like ours with both bedrooms directly looking out upon the ocean are 975 sq. ft. What you end up paying for a unit doesn't correlate with what you will get, so look closely at what size you are getting. We have done an extensive remodeling project involving the entire unit. You will enjoy the beauty, inside and out. It is so peaceful and private here.

This condo sleeps 6 with comfortable options for either two couples or a family. One bedroom has a King bed and the other bedroom has a queen-size bed. Both rooms serve as master bedrooms with views of the Pacific Ocean, West Maui Mountains, neighboring islands and Ma’alaea Harbor. Each has its own separate adjoining bathroom. For the family option, the King bed is prepared in advance as two twin beds. The queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room is new and very comfortable with advanced mattress technology (mattress is 8 1/2" thick, as thick as a standard bed mattress).

Experienced Hawaiian vacationers will appreciate the quiet, central air conditioning; a rare commodity in condo complexes in Kihei. This really makes for a more comfortable stay.

Boogie boards, air mattresses, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels and coolers are provided. There is a wide range of restaurants and a farmer’s market within a mile of the condo. Nearby you will find shopping centers ranging from outlet malls to world class boutiques - and golfing in Wailea. Beaches known around the world are only minutes away.

Last, but not least, to rent this condo is a unique experience in service and communication. Margie, the owner, does not work through a managing agency through the reservation process but receives all communication herself before and during your stay. She has a fast response rate and as you can tell from the multiple rave reviews, having this connection with her makes a big difference towards having a wonderful vacation experience. She does not charge an administrative add-on fee for her hands-on care of her guests like you will see on many listings.
