The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach #1062 is our brand new remodeled Studio condominium with stunning ocean views. Brand new furniture, carpet and smart TV. This beautiful vacation home is a 530 square foot studio located on the popular courtyard side of Tower II. Sitting on your lanai, enjoy a beautiful view of Black Rock as well as views of the West Maui Mountains to your right. Kaanapali Beach and the neighbor island of Molokai to your left. This home has a King bed, Queen sofa sleeper, updated kitchen and modern tropical décor. This unit has quickly become a guest favorite!
All units feature full kitchens, full baths, central air conditioning, wi-fi, and a large private lanai (balcony).
In addition, this condo is equipped with a complimentary "Starter Kit" of supplies, upon your arrival: Paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, new kitchen sponge with scrubber; several rolls of toilet tissue, kleenex, hotel-size bar soap, shampoo, and lotion. *Starter kit items are not replenished.*
Check-in time is 4:00pm; Check-out 10:00am
Daily Resort Fee: $33/day plus tax; and on April 1, 2025 it will increase to $35/day. This covers parking and all resort amenities and is payable upon arrival at the front desk.
***Our minimum stay is 5 nights and 10 nights during the Christmas/New Years holiday. However, we may approve shorter stays if they back up to an existing reservation. We will do our best do accommodate you. We have many comparable condos should this one not be available listed here on VRBO.

This one had the #1 thing I was looking for: the perfect view. And the wonderful sound of the ocean washing up on the shore, 24/7. Whaler: terrific location, beach walk had foot traffic from morning to night, Whaler Village right next door, restaurants close by, nice reception crew, and beautiful grounds. The unit was equipped with everything you would need for a short (or long) stay. Bed was very comfortable; I forgot to look for pots & pans in the kitchen, but I wasn't cooking so didn't need them. I would recommend this unit!

This condo was recently remodeled and it’s beautiful! The lower reviews are clearly from before the renovation. The unit is clean and stylish, just the perfect studio! We loved our stay at The Whaler and will be back!

The condition of the unit, especially the kitchen, was very disappointing. Cabinet fronts and drawer fronts were falling off and actually fell off. The kitchen lacked basic cooking utensils.
The unit did not present well and was as represented in the pictures.

Location and view from this unit is terrific. The complex overall is well kept, but a bit dated. Comparatively, the pool is very basic and pool seating is compact. The condo itself was not clean when we arrived, it appeared the crew did a quick "once over" and left opened old food, spills on the kitchen floor, and the bathroom floor was not up to par. We spent a good 30 minutes wiping and cleaning the Kitchen and Bath upon arrival. As others have stated, the bathroom tub faucet is difficult to operate, Kitchen utensils and dishes are well used and there was lots of wear throughout (e.g. towel racks were rusty from the finish being worn off, balcony table has cracks, etc.). The refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher worked fine and the bed was comfortable. The overall impression (aside form the cleanliness issue) is "well used and in need of an update".

Condo was well supplied with towels, welcome package, and cooking utensils. Very good view from the lanai. Location is good...fairly close to the black rock for snorkelling. pool was nice to have and hot tube enjoyable.
Only drawbacks were to do with kitchen supplies. Teflon fry pans badly scratched and no plastic fliers to use only a large metal one. the can opener was useless trying to open a can.
Bathroom shower faucet was very difficult to turn on. my wife needed me to pull out the knob as it was coated with some calcium deposits and difficult to turn on. Unit could use a bit of correction in the above small items. Overall we enjoyed the condo except for the odd problem.

The room is extremely outdated and was dirty upon entry with sand in the shower, mold on the shower curtain, hair on the towels, crumbs in the silverware in and on the table. We called for the cleaning service to return and they were responsive at first, but never followed up to ensure the unit was thoroughly cleaned, which it was not. We found medication left out from the cleaning crew, crumbs remained, and it seems they replaced the shower curtain with one that had less mold on it instead of buying a new one. Location is good with restaurants and Whaler Village right next door. Beach was decent. Cool balcony view on the 10th floor. Overall, we were disappointed by the accommodations given the price we paid.
