This sixth (top) floor oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought after ocean side of the elevator, and has a spectacular ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and private lanai. It is one of the larger, 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath units (680 sq ft). The view of the ocean is absolutely breathtaking.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings in this unit are for 1 or 2 guests only. The unit SLEEPS A MAXIMUM OF 2 PEOPLE ONLY. The unit DOES NOT have a sofa bed in the living room available for guest use. No pets. Minimum 5 night stay. No smoking or vaping in the building or on the lanai.
The brand-new custom kitchen is fully equipped with cream-coloured maple cabinetry, quartz counter tops, brand new LG appliances, including a refrigerator with ice and water on the door, full size range, dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, and garbage disposal. There is also a variety of small appliances including a coffee maker, toaster, blender, and hand mixer, as well as a large selection of high quality pots and pans, baking pans, knife set, and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery.
The flooring throughout is beautiful soft-step coastal eucalyptus luxury vinyl plank.
The living area has a remote controlled Air Conditioner, multi-speed marine-grade ceiling fan, 65” 4K ultra HD smart TV, large area rug, wireless high speed Internet, and telephone with free long-distance calling to the United States and Canada.
The oceanfront dining area has a round rattan glass table with 4 matching rattan armchairs.
The private lanai has a round bistro table with two swivel rocker chairs - a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner.
The bedroom has a Cal-King sized bed and is furnished with a brand-new solid mango wood bedroom suite. There is a remote controlled Air Conditioner, multi-speed marine grade ceiling fan, plantation shutters, closet, digital security safe and a 43” 4K ultra HD smart TV.
The master bathroom has a porcelain bathtub with shower (one of only a few units in the building with a tub), a lovely cream coloured solid maple vanity with Corian countertop. The matching half bath has been finished to the same high standard. Both bathrooms have Kohler "silent flush" toilets and new Panasonic 'whisper-quiet' exhaust fans.
This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays. Coin laundry facilities are available on site.
This unit is equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!

It was super clean and beautiful. The view outstanding. The property was very well kept too. We had a broken coffee pot replaced the same or next day.

Beautiful condo with views for days! A little smaller than expected due to mirrors on a wall, but beautifully done and prime location for beach walks and Kihei dining. AC in bedroom is a bit noisy with the whirring sound, lights are a bit bright in the bedroom, but nice all around. Will def be back again soon!

Given the opportunity, we would absolutely stay at Kihei Surfside again. Outstanding view, especially at sunset when locals and their dogs and tourists gather at the adjacent town park to give thanks for another lovely day. The apartment was well outfitted and near the beaches and shopping...we hated having to leave.

The view is STUNNING. My jaw dropped when I entered the condo. Beautiful sunsets can be seen directly from the room. Everything is recently renovated and very nicely decorated. We could not have enjoyed our stay more!
To keep this review as honest as possible- here are some things that were not to our liking- but did not take away from the enjoyment of our trip.
The shades were broken upon arrival. Not the end of the world when your view is Maui - but annoying enough at night time when you want privacy.
The lights were SO BRIGHT. Especially in the master bathroom. If you had to wake up early, or in the middle of the night, in the dark, it definitely hurt your eyes turning on the light for the bathroom.
Finally, it drives me nuts when I am charged a cleaning fee and I’m still expected to clean before I leave. And by “clean” I mean take out the trash and start the dishwasher, and throw away all food. I understand you don’t want any critters entering the condo , but in my opinion, taking the trash out is something the cleaning staff should take care of.
None of the negatives I mentioned should deter you from staying here. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and will definitely recommend this unit to friends in the future.

Extremely clean and comfortable! Amazing view from the lanai. Very quiet on property. Walkable to a beautiful small beach. Easy parking and would recommend renting a car if staying, quick drive to restaurants and other beaches.

Absolutely unbeatable view. Great location, loved being close to Wailea shops but also Kihei area. Would stay here every time if we’re lucky enough to vacation again in Maui. Thought no AC would be a problem but it was fine.

The unit was clean with incredible views, and well appointed. Very spacious and well located. The property was very well maintained, could not have asked for a better stay. We had the windows open for most of our stay with no bothersome outside noise to speak of.

Worth more than a 5 star rating. No a/c but a perfect breeze flowed through the unit so it was never needed. Unbelievable view and great location with easy walking to amazing beaches. The community grills were meticulously maintained so you can prepare your own grilled island delights. Short drive to everything you need and centrally located for exploring the island. Plenty of space for two and maintained well. One of the best beds we have slept on in years. Highly recommended!!!!

When we arrived we were a bit concerned when we saw the caution tape on the balconies but ut was just due to air conditioning being installed. Howver the unit was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The view was incredible!! Watched whales and sea turtles and sunrises snd sunsets...Oh my!!
