The home was a beautiful place for our team to meet and plan the year as well as relax. It provided wonderful space to gather insight and outside the home and the kitchens upstairs and downstairs were a great bonus. Beds were very comfortable and the AC worked very well when it got warm. We would definitely recommend this property. Owner was very communicative whenever we had any issues.
The house was nice in a great location. We met the neighbors and everyone was very nice. We did not realize it was 2 separate living spaces. To get upstairs, you had to go outside. It was fine for us but we did feel separated from the other 2 families
I stayed here this past weekend with my 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren for a family event...3 nights. The text notifications were extremely helpful and eliminated any questions about our stay. The entire house (upstairs and downstairs) was very clean, nice and comfortable. Although we were primarily here to shower and sleep, the air conditioning throughout the house ensured comfortable temperatures inside whenever we returned to rest or regroup. We will definitely be staying here again should our entire family return to Maui. Thank you for ensuring we had a very comfortable stay.
Great property. Beautiful ocean breeze and was a good fit for our family. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy at first, but it was perfectly safe and a good location for seeing the sights. !! Screens on windows would be nice
This house is at great location. Ocean right in the backyard with views is awesome. Although there is no beach as such but if you like to surf this is perfect. House is nicely kept and has all essentials. We were 8 of us and it was very comfortable. Although it would have been ideal to have another half bathroom downstairs as there is only one shared full bath but it was not too much of an inconvenience. Overall we had great experience and enjoyed our stay!
Very clean / safe property with a beautiful view of the sunrise each morning. The queen bed in the bottom unit was a little too hard to be comfortable, but the master room was better! Overall 5 stars and very happy with our choice
We had a great time at this VRBO! It was so clean and was the perfect lay out for our family. The beds were comfortable and the views were gorgeous! We will definitely be staying again.

When we arrived to the property we were excited due to the amazing views and the fact that you can walk to the beach in about 3 minutes. Unfortunately the inside of the house is much more worn down than what the images show online. In addition, the couches )upstairs and downstairs) were stained and the shower curtain in the bathroom was moldy along with the mattress and curtains in the downstairs bedroom. When I messaged the owner about our concerns he was very accommodating. He had clean sheets to put over the couches and asked how he could help with the mold situation. Overall he was a very gracious host, but the house was not what we expected.

Josh was very accommodating. The right up on the house is very accurate. Our family loves the house and the location. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the sun rise and the surfer’s every morning. Would stay here again!

We were a group of 6, us parents, 2 adult daughters, our son in law and 17 yo grandson. We looked forward to our trip for months, and truly wanted to love the place. We did gather from the home description that this was not a "resort" type destination but we were ready to enjoy the reported views, charm and laid back qualities of the home.
The lot is large and oceanfront with a well kept lawn area. The downstairs master is cramped and dark with a small obscured slider that opens onto a small concrete patio, it is very difficult to open/close. The other downstairs bedroom was similarly small and dark, and it's small window looks directly onto the large eyesore condemned properties next door. Sadly, people are living there.
The upstairs area has a large master bedroom with 4 widely spaced small windows. The master bath is small and the tub/shower is rusty and uninviting. Window coverings throughout were in disrepair and couches were stained. The refrigerator does not keep contents cold. The slider off the upstairs kitchen is also very difficult to open/close. There is one couch upstairs and one downstairs. We wanted a place that would allow all 6 of us to gather together comfortably as well as provide privacy and rest.
We tried to make the best of it but ultimately, and despite the significant unanticipated expense, we could not allow ourselves to spend our limited and hard earned vacation time in this home and left after our 2nd night. We found another property to rent that was well maintained, comfortable and accommodating and it saved our vacation.
If all you want is a bare bones home base to enjoy Maui from this may be serviceable.

We did enjoy listening to the waves, sifting through the driftwood on the beach and watching the beautiful sunrises. The surfers were right next door, evidentially it’s a favorite spot for local surfers, which were fun to watch.
Some cons: the dishwasher does not do a good job washing the dishes. Buy a non-stick pan, the lockboxes were hard to open and shut.
Pros: right on the beach, 15 minutes from Costco, Safeway and Whole Foods, in a residential area, sandy beach and surfers right next door, comfy beds and soft sheets. We enjoyed our time there and it worked well for our group of six.

Let me start by saying that we really enjoyed our time at this home. Our group consisted of 2 families (4 adults, 2 teenagers & 2 kids in their 20’s). The home was plenty spacious for us all, and was well stocked with towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. We chose to have the parents stay in the upstairs unit, and kids downstairs. Access to the nearest beach is just about 50 yards down the street, and we spent countless hours on the back patio, enjoying the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks at the edge of the property.
The home is conveniently located, but not in the typical “tourist” areas. You’ll find yourself primarily amongst locals, not resorts and hotels. In fact, I’m not sure I saw a building more than two stories tall. WalMart, Target, and several grocery stores are near by, convenient to provision your stay.
Josh, the owner, was extremely accommodating. He allowed us to arrive a little ahead of our scheduled “check-in” time, and checked in with us periodically throughout our stay. It’s also very apparent that he’s continuing to maintain and improve the property. Even during our stay, he was having a very nice privacy fence installed at the edge of the property; helping to buffer from an unattractive property next door.
Lastly, I’d advise everyone to have appropriate expectations. This is a home that IS at the edge of the ocean. If you understand how salt and wind impacts a home, then you’ll understand that there will always be some amount of “weathering”, even with constant maintenance and upkeep. If you need the Ritz Carlton, this home is not for you. If you want clean, comfortable, private, and to be immersed in the local environment, it’ll be a perfect fit.
