Located on the same block as the Fort DeRussy Park, where no other hotels obstruct the fantastic ocean and park views. Our condominium is a studio with kitchenette. It has a two burner cook top, dual purpose microwave oven/ standard oven, mini refrigerator, two cup coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, utensils and dish setting for 3. There is a queen size bed.
For your entertainment, there is a flat screen TV and free WIFI. Free local and US nationwide telephone calls are available.
Our unit is on the 14th floor. You will be able to sit outside on the lanai and enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The night lights of Waikiki can also be enjoyed from our unit.
The Luana Waikiki has a pool where you can cool off, relax and sunbathe on one of the many lounge chairs. If you prefer swimming in the ocean, Waikiki beach is a short 5 minute walk across Fort DeRussy Park. Next to the swimming pool, there is a work-out room with the latest exercise equipment and a BBQ area with gas BBQ grills and tables where you can dine outside. Inside Luana Waikiki is a beautiful lobby. There are 3 elevators to take you up to your room. The second floor has a lounge area with a big screen television, seating and tables to relax and socialize. Also on the second floor is a community laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers.
Since the Luana Waikiki has very few parking stalls, parking is valet. There are public parking and other parking garages within a block of the Luana Waikiki. Expect to pay $25/day and up when parking anywhere in Waikiki. If you decide to not rent a car, public transportation is conveniently close and there are many taxi cabs available.
Shopping, dining and entertainment are also within walking distance.
Ala Moana Park, Ala Moana Shopping Mall and Ward Shopping Mall are located within a mile west of the Luana Waikiki. Most of the other hotels are located within a mile East of the Luana Waikiki along Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenue. Kapiolani Park, the Waikiki Aquarium and the Honolulu Zoo are about a mile away. The entrance to Diamond Head Crater is 2 miles away.

Great place with fabulous views of the water and Ft. DeRussy. We parked at the Hale Koa parking after the first night and paid for the monthly rate vs $40 a night valet only. Had a great time overall. Some of the communication was confusing whether they had front desk privileges or not. We checked in once we had a phone conversation. All worked out and we would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the Luana Waikiki in this apartment. We have stayed at the hotel before and loved the location and views of the park and ocean, so we were excited when we saw this apartment is in the hotel - so we could stay at the hotel without resort fees!

Sorry this review is late but we have been caught up in the grounding of the 737 Max9 and were late in arriving home. Our stay in the Luana Condo was absolutely fantastic! Being retired Navy, we, for the last 18 years have stayed at the Halekoa Hotel. However, we were too late to secure reservations this year and were forced to seek alternatives, and how glad we were. Lower daily rate, ability to self cater, fantastic view of the Halekoa and surrounding park, spectacular ocean view, and still able to use many of the amenities of the Halekoa. This VRBO is truly everything we could have wished for. Greg, our host, was most responsive and proved to be genuinely gracious and helpful. We highly recommend this rental in Paradise.

Nice condo on a higher floor with an ocean view, overlooking a beautiful park. Location is everything. Close to the beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center, and central Waikiki. The Luana is an oasis, located in the park away from the crowds. Peaceful location.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in Greg and Sheryl's condo at the Luana, a property I've frequented through Aqua Aston and Costco in the past. Without a doubt, this stay has been exceptional and has far exceeded my expectations.
The comfort of the bed, complemented by the quality linens, made for a restful retreat. The thoughtful provision of plenty of towels, beach chairs, a laundry drying rack, and two small refrigerators with freezers added a level of convenience that truly stood out during my 3-week stay.
What truly sets this unit apart is the excellent communication with Greg. His responsiveness and attention to detail ensured a seamless experience, contributing significantly to making this my best vacation yet.
I wholeheartedly recommend Greg and Sheryl's condo at the Luana to anyone seeking a delightful and well-equipped accommodation. This stay has undoubtedly made my vacation memorable, and I cannot speak highly enough of the overall experience.

The location was ideal for walking to Waikiki beaches and dining options but was just outside the main shopping district, so it was quiet and peaceful at night. The view from the balcony was fantastic and a lovely spot to have a morning cup of coffee.
