Like most reviewers indicated, the views from the lanai are spectacular! We spent a lot of time out there sipping our morning coffee, watching the golfers, enjoying the ocean views...and then watching the sunsets later. The location is great, near the ocean club on the property and not far from Kings and Queens shops. We enjoyed the Hilton property next door too, watching the dolphins and turtles, grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat. The unit was very spacious and well appointed. Great communications with the owner (Kathy) in advance. We stay at vacation rentals quite a bit and we absolutely loved this place!
We had an amazing stay! The condo was perfect! Clean! Updated! Better than advertised! We hope to make our Big Island trip an annual trip! We would love to book this unit for each trip to come! Thank you for allowing us to use your condo!
This must be one of the best units in the entire complex! Comfortably furnished, nicely appointed, amazing view. Convenient location right near the Ocean Club, which is one of the nicest community pool/spa/fitness/bar amenities that we have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Kathy was pleasant and responsive. Highly recommended.
This VRBO was the ultimite condo for us! She had everything we could ask for. Fully stocked in kitchen, bath, utility room, and beach toys. Beautiful view and quiet! She even had ice for the day cooler in the freezer. It was perfect for our family and we will be coming back!
Place was amazing. Clean, nice decor and the kitchen had all the amenities a person could ask for. Great view of the ocean and golf course. Right next to the Ocean Club which had great food and drinks and all the better to be able to enjoy them by the pool as well. This place will not disappoint. We can't wait to go back!

I can’t say enough good things about our recent stay. The condo is exactly as advertised. The view of the ocean and golf course is spectacular. We enjoyed many hours on the lanai watching the golfers, the ocean and spotting whales. The kitchen had almost everything one might need to prepare meals. The washer/dryer was used often as well. We are already planning on returning to this unit.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at Hali’i Kai and the best yet. Just as described with beautiful views. Well appointed with the extras - shampoo, body was, paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent etc….. We would definitely like to reserve this spot again. Mahalo
The condo is exactly like what is pictured but even better. The ocean views looking over the 6th hole can't be beat. The floor plan is great and the bedrooms are separated so everyone has some privacy. Just steps away from the pool. Our stay was just fantastic!!
This condo is in the best location for easy walking quick access to the pool and restaurant. The deck has incredible views To watch the sunset! It was quiet and peaceful to be able to stay at a condo that helped make our vacation memorable!

Could not have been happier staying here. I was here alone for this work trip but can't wait to bring my family for future trips. Kapalua Bay Villas Maui is our usual preference and this Condo provided the same level of quality at half the price.
This property is "as listed". Check in / out simple. Very well appointed kitchen, bathrooms well stocked. The pool, bar, gym and restaurant are a just across the parking lot. View from lanai is outstanding. The design of condo is fantastic, bedrooms on opposite ends of unit. Beds were very comfortable, entire complex was silent at night. We spent nearly every night on lanai watching sunset and enjoying breeze off Ocean. Had a 5 star vacation, would highly recommend.

The property was wonderful. The location close to Ocean Club with a gorgeous view of the ocean from the balcony could not have been better. The condo was beautifully decorated and the best outfitted vocational rental we have ever had. The management team was responsive and owner Kathy made sure we had all information we needed, including a way to contact her if needed (it was not needed). The ocean club was fantastic and we enjoyed many snacks and meals there- the food was delicious and we loved the staff. We saw whales more than one day from the pool area. The location within the resort is great with shopping and restaurants close by. I loved the Halii Kai resort and this unit in particular. We would be thrilled to stay here on another trip.
Our family of 4 visited the Big island for the first time over Christmas week and hands down it was one of our favorite vacations to date. It will be challenging to keep this brief, but I’ll start by saying simply that Kathy’s unit at Hali’i Kai was perfect for our needs.
First of all, Hali’i Kai is one of the nicest—if not THE nicest—complexes in all of Waikoloa. Unit 12D in particular is one of a kind given: 1. its close (but not uncomfortably close) proximity to the Ocean Club pool, restaurant, and fitness center and 2. the unobstructed view of the ocean. The Ocean Club is exclusively for the use of Hali’i Kai residents and guests so it never feels crowded. The restaurant menu is varied enough to suit most palates and the cocktail and smoothie offerings were more than enough for the adults and kids in our party. The exercise hale faces the majestic Pacific Ocean and even has 2 peloton bikes!
The club and the unit are both perched on a cliff adjacent to a golf course and directly facing the ocean so the sunsets and whale watching are 2nd to none. The lava rock walking path that meanders for miles along the coastline is also steps from the unit and leads to the busier hotel areas of Waikoloa where there are additional restaurants and activities.
The unit itself is so comfortable and quiet with an ideally outfitted kitchen, smart tv with streaming services, efficient A/C unit, washer/dryer, and plenty of storage. The bathrooms are stocked with high end Hawaiian bath products and the water pressure is impressive. Beds and linens are so comfortable and the 2 bedrooms are situated on opposite sides of the condo for those who desire privacy.
Hali’i Kai is also less than 5 minutes driving to both Waikoloa shopping centers (kings and queens) which both have everything you might need for your stay plus a lot of extras. Kathy is a wonderfully kind and responsive host as is the property manager. Our flight home was delayed and we were able to have several extra hours of access to the pool and unit which absolutely saved us.
We had lot of of plans to explore and recreate across the island, but the condo, ocean club, nearby amenities, and beaches kept us as active and well fed as we desired. I guess we’ll have to come back! Mahalo, Kathy!

The condo is exactly as advertised with the most incredible sunset views from your corner lanai. Watching morning golfers against a backdrop of green and blue - just zen! Location was close to several amazing beaches, shopping and the best fresh fish market. (Oceanfish) We enjoyed all the conveniences of home with this well-appointed ‘home away from home’. It was perfect for a relaxing vacation!
