This property is a dream. The views from this unit were breathtaking from every room. Loved waking up to watch the ocean. The unit has everything you need for your stay. Definitely loved it!
Absolutely incredible! The perfect home base for all of our adventures on Kauai's gorgeous north shore. The ocean views, cooling breezes, and comfy furniture made it great for relaxing in between expeditions. The host provided everything to make our stay super comfortable: the kitchen is beautifully remodeled and stocked, and there are beach chairs, coolers towels, and sand toys ready to go. The host is a wonderfully responsive communicator. Highly recommend. We hope to come back!
This property is in a great and the views from the bedrooms and lanai are just amazing! I was a little worried about not having A/C but the breeze off the ocean was very comfortable! We left our windows open at bedtime and it was so peaceful to hear the waves. The condo was perfect for our family of four and in the perfect location for all that we did while in Princeville/Hanalei. The host was very nice and I would definitely stay here again and recommend this condo to family and friends.
It was an impromptu visit to Kauai with my family. I absolutely love Princeville and have stayed all over, but John's place was among my most favorite. His place is stocked, a breathtaking view of the ocean, and very comfortable. We hope to come back.
Really did have an ocean view from every room. It would have been nice in the listing to say that there were coolers available so we wouldn't have bought one prior to checking in. Bare minimum of bathroom towels so we had to do laundry several times.
This place is incredible and John is an amazing host. Waking up every morning to that view and the sound of waves was truly paradise! The unit was well stocked with everything you could possibly need and we were extremely comfortable. Loved our stay and cannot wait to come back!
Everything you need for a great north shore vacation. It’s definitely outdated but we didn’t care at all! The location is hands down one of the best places in North Shore. Views though every window! Would recommend this place for everyone.
From the moment we arrived here in Princeville, the tranquility and peacefulness of the community was evident. The beautiful surroundings, the impeccably manicure properties throughout Princeville were just picturesque. The amenities of this property are endless. You have fabulous views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean from every room. Everything you could possibly think of that you have in your own home has provided for you.My wife and I started every morning and finished every evening sitting on the balcony, drinking our coffee or a glass of wine, listening to the ocean’s waves crashing upon the shoreline. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. I couldn’t think of a better way to start or end the days.
What a great location! The view was incredible from every room. The condo had all the amenities needed to provide us with an “at home” experience. We were very comfortable and loved the ocean sounds at night to drift off to. Saw whales almost every day. A true gift! Thanks for allowing us to share your little piece of heaven. Will definitely come back!!
Beautiful view! Clean, easy access to information. Our host is accommodating and gives helpful advice on dining and activities. I would stay here again!
We had an amazing stay here!!! By far the best view I’ve had in a vrbo rental. Saw beautiful sunrises over the ocean and several whales! You can hear the sound of the waves in every room. The house was very comfortable and clean. The host provided some detergent for laundry which was an added plus after our muddy hikes. The location was very quiet, peaceful, and uncrowded. About a ten minute drive into hanalei which was a nice distance for us. Would definitely stay again!
We have been enjoying visiting various Hawaiian islands the past three years! This was our first visit to Kauai. The island as well the condo didn’t disappoint! The views were magnificent as the listing stated! We would definitely recommend this property as well we would return to this location in our future travels!
We enjoyed our stay because how can one not in Kauai on the ocean? The condo is a nice size and the kitchen with island is nice. However, it is very sad to see such a nice condo in a truly beautiful location and with such an amazing view not be maintained.
The biggest issue is that condo was not clean.
I made the mistake of wiping up water on the floor in the master bath and the towel picked up HAIR (not ours), YELLOW stain (urine?) and dirt. It clearly had not been cleaned. The one working sink was also dirty. I ended up cleaning the entire floor and sink. The grout in the shower is very moldy and needs serious cleaning.
The floor throughout the condo needs to be cleaned.
The windows were dirty and full of bugs. The light fixtures in the entire condo are full of bugs.
The deck clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Bugs are plastered on the window sills. The paint is pealing off the walls around the window in the master.
Very disgusting....The bedding, specifically the mattress pad, had not been washed in what appears to be a long time. It was yellow and dirty. The pillow cases were stained. We washed all the bedding.
Also, the bed in the second bedroom is on a metal frame and our friends said anytime they shifted the bed moved and squeaked.
The views from the condo are spectacular. The host was very attentive to one hiccup we had when we couldn’t get in due to the lock malfunctioning. Condo had all the amenities one needed for a delightful.
Loved the location, the hikes, local food and the unit we were in.
We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean! This place was quiet and had an truly incredible view of the ocean. We definitely will want to stay again!
What a stunning unit! Absolutely gorgeous views and the unit is very clean and modern. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Beds were comfortable and towels were fluffy. Balcony was so nice to have and watch the waves. About 10-15 from Hanalei. We will be dreaming about our time here forever.
Easy check-in, beautiful views, very beachy vibe, comfortable. Unfortunately no walking beach access -as I had hoped, (but not suggested by owner-he was great and helpful info)! Very good location for driving short distances to good food (food land poke awesome!) and beaches.
This spot couldn’t have been a better fit for us on our trip. For first time Kauai visitors, this spot is close to Hanalei, Kilauea, and the beaches / activities in Haena. The actual home has an incredible ocean view, from which you can see a stunning sunrise. We only stayed here for three days of our trip but I wish we stayed the whole time! The one thing I did wish was that the home had somewhere to hang purses/beach bags and raincoats by the door.

We stayed a week in this condo, which is in the Ali'i Kai complex in Princeville. Even though it is on the first level with stairs down to the front door, it has a terrace on the back facing the ocean. The view is from most every room, which was great. The rooms are large and attractively furnished and we had most everything we required. We experienced an electrical short in the wall, which resulted in a fire dept visit and lack of wifi and some loss of electricity for the first night. Fortunately John was able to send people to fix the problem by the end of the next day. This is an older condo complex and air conditioning would have been great as it was so hot the first few days we were there. Overall, though, we had a very nice stay and found the location handy for north shore and Hanalei sites.
Everything you could possibly need John has anticipated. Kitchen is stocked, extra sunscreen and insect repellent, snorkel and beach gear and more, made our stay comfortable and worry free. And beyond the comfortable beds and common area is the spectacular view of the ocean and the lovely cross breezes made air conditioning obsolete. John also thoughtfully provided us with lists of favorite beaches, restaurants, hikes, and other activities.
We hope to stay with him again.
This condo was amazing. The place was spotless, and even nicer than the photos as the kitchen had been recently renovated. It was very well stocked with everything you’d need in the kitchen, as well as beach gear. The ocean views from every room were gorgeous. It was quiet, and comfortable as well. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for this week on Kauai.
The condo was neat and clean and the view off the deck was spectacular! The condo was in a great location which made it easy to travel to and from anywhere on the island. I would highly recommend a stay there!

We absolutely loved our Condo. Love Alii Kai area, amazing view, close to Turtle Cove. Recently upgraded Kitchen. The trade winds were AMAZING standing in the living room. My ONLY complaint is that we had to leave!

Our stay was lovely with an amazing view of the ocean from ALL rooms. Falling asleep to the sound of ocean surf was magical as was greeting the whales and turtles every morning. If you enjoy running, wonderful running loop that sends you down a steep fire road to Anini Beach to enjoy views of ocean surf and the lighthouse. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. John is awesome to work with and is very prompt; we would absolutely stay in his place again. Now we must leave and likely get an ocean surf sound machine so we can sleep as well as we did in Kauai!!😁 Mahalo!
Our favorite spot in Princeville - nothing but sea and sky from the lanai. Great space for two couples with beach equipment, two baths, comfortable living room, equipped kitchen for cooking. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The communication from the owner was great and he left us with really helpful tips on restaurants and activities. The condo is amazing. Right on the water. Watched the surf and whales right from the lanai, living room and bedroom. Nicely equipped kitchen allowed is to make a few dinners of fresh fish from a local market. Princeville is a great location to enjoy the north shore and is a nice community for morning walks before you start your day.
