We had such a great time on our vacation and staying at Melelina Hale was so convenient. We loved the 2pm check-in which allowed us to get in as soon as our flight landed. There was plenty of room for our 8-person group (3 adults, 4 teenagers, 1 child). In fact, the house was so spacious that we really needed to search to find the kids ;) We spent many evenings watching the sunset from the lanai. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook meals from home. We didn't get to enjoy the backyard as much as we wanted, but the pool was spacious and we saw many critters (gecko lizards and a couple of turkeys). The house doesn't have a lot of TVs...only one in the main living area and in the master bedroom - so if you have a group that likes to watch a lot of TV then this might not be for you (although we didn't have that problem). The house was centrally located to all the great places in Kona and just a short 1.5 hour drive to the other side of the island. We would definitely stay here again!
My family have made many cherished memories (Haliʻan aloha) at Melelina Hale, we have been returning for years. We love the privacy of this beautifully appointed house, the amazing views. Many gorgeous beaches to explore and every night an amazing sunset. The host is kind, attentive and gracious.
The property was well repesented on line. Being from Arizona ws sure nice sit out of the rain and watch it rain...a real treat for us. Beach stuff was real handy also. Like te bathroom right off the pool also. Oh ya the kitchen was well equipt with everythingneedd to make a meal. I would stay again for sure.

The house was wonderful! We were all impressed by how clean it was. There was enough space for our whole family to spread out and be comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything we needed. We sat up on the balcony every night and watched beautiful sunsets. The best part of the house was the pool. The kids wanted to spend their whole vacation in it. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay! The pictures don't reflect how large and comfortable this house is. Everyone was happy with their own spaces. The ocean/ sunset views were a highlight. The pool was wonderful.
This was a great home for my family’s Hawaiian vacation. Very convenient location to everything in the Kona area. Quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks from a main road. Very well supplied kitchen. Plenty of room for a large group. Would definitely stay here again (my had stayed here previously with her friends).

This was a great house for our family durning our time in Hawaii! We have 4 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room for all our us. The house was well stocked and we felt at home durning our stay. The house was very clean and well maintained and we loved the ocean view and the private pool. The house was fantastic. It is in a great location just a short drive from lots of restaurants and other activities in downtown Kona. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed. The views from the back lanai and front porches was of phenomenal sunsets everyday. I highly recommend it.
The outside gardens were just the perfect setting for all of family and a few friends that live on the island to renew our vows of 35 years <3
Melelina Hale is a home away form home. The listing for this house is precise and the host, Rachel, is exceptional. The home is equipped with the essentials plus more and the space was ample. We were able to make dinners at the house as desired. The days we did not travel or go to a beach, we stayed at the house and enjoyed the outdoor pool area. The home met all of our needs and was very comfortable.
We traveled from Western New York and our frends were from France. Our European friends have stayed with us at VRBO/vacation homes in the past and this by far was the best!
Absolutely Fabulous! My husband and I and our 3 kids, 29, 30, 31 and their partners. They gave me their feedback haha.
There was so many plates and dishes and there was everything that we could ever need. And I had to say that first because our oldest is always travelling and she said that she doesn't always find that.
You just had to open a cupboard or drawer and there was what you needed.
The location is fantastic and only 10 min away from a fun night life.
Rachel was always available to answer any questions we had.

A fantastic stay in a great house. Exceeded expectations. We were two families (4 adults and 4 kids) and had plenty of spce and privacy. Pool and backyard were fantastic. Location was ideal, being central and close to everything. Enjoyee the beautiful sunsets ftom the lanai in the evenings. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed this property, it is centrally located, very clean and well appointed. The pool was wonderful on days we didn't feel like going to the beach. Very spacious and beautifully furnished. Will definitely come back to Melelina Hale!
