Great home on the water on the quiet south shore of Kauai. Excellently appointed home just a short walk to a protected beach.
Beautiful property, super clean with everything you need. I could have stayed there my entire vacation watching the sea turtles play in the surf. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I were blessed to be able spend 19 nights at this beautiful cottage directly on the ocean. The property is exactly what was depicted online. The lay out of this beautifully decorated home provides breathtaking views from every room. The kitchen and baths are well stocked with just about everything you will need, and the bed was very comfortable.
The backyard is directly on the ocean with a lava sea wall separating you from the surf and abundant turtles that frollick in the waves every day. The sunsets are everything and more you can imagine of the Islands. The outdoor shower is great for getting all the sand off after a day at the beach, and the Weber grill made it very enjoyable to prepare meals for those nights in.
The property also has beach chairs and an umbrella to take on your day trips around the island. Pleasant walks and runs can be had by going in either direction out of the front door, and Waimea Canyon State Park is less than an hour drive. Truly a spectacular and spiritual experience if you are so inclined. I really can't think of any negatives - it is truly exceptional.
Lastly, the management company, Alekona Kaui is very knowledgeable, attentive and responsive to any needs or concerns you might have. We had a couple minor maintenance events and the folks at Alekona were there within 30 minutes each time. This property is Lani in Koloa!
This is the first time a VRBO was better than the description and pictures. Everything was perfect. Immaculately clean, fresh flowers in every room, the ocean just steps away, gorgeous sunsets every night, turtles and dolphins every day!

The place is fantastic! Beautiful house, and turtles, dolphins, red ringed parakeets are great neighbors. The managers were caring, attentive, and responsive. We had the ideal vacation. Mahalo.

We had such an amazing stay at this house. It is absolutely gorgeous and the location is truly perfect. It's very clean and you have everything you need. You have a view of the ocean from every room in the house. The backyard was a relaxing space to have coffee/cocktails and watch the sunset. Lots of turtles in this area too! We loved being so close to Poipu beach and we appreciated the free, easy parking. The beach offered waves for boogie boarding, a protected spot for young children, great snorkeling and down further there were bigger waves for surfers. We had a fantastic show of whales breaching right in front of the beach and also a young monk seal who visited us on the beach. We will definitely be back and can't wait to stay in this house again!
We stayed in this house for 8 nights during the end of Oct/early November. The house is situated on the water but has no real beach. The rocks that line the beach were safe to venture out onto during low tide and the back of the house has a rock wall with steps the other side. I only saw one other home within about 10 homes in the immediate vicinity that had this feature. We saw green sea turtles each day rolling and frolicking in the waves. It was amazing and beautiful.
The home itself is clean but aging. The bed wasn’t as nice as I would have liked but the AC made the stay very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with excellent tools and kitchenware (All Clad, Vitamix, etc) so if you cook you will be happy here. The decor and furniture is inviting and clever. There are three outdoor lanai, one which is covered and other partially.
The location of this house is the most impressive feature, next to the turtles, as it is directly between Poipu beach and the Allerton Gardens. Spouting horn is within walking distance and so is the Beach House restaurant.
Finally, the management staff were very friendly and easy to work with.
We enjoyed staying there and would do so again.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at this beautiful cottage. We spent every night of our trip sitting in the backyard enjoying the sound of the crashing waves and the serene setting. The property manager was very responsive when multiple maintenance issues arose during our stay. We look forward to visiting again the next time to travel to Kauai.
We cannot say enough good things about this property - it is a little piece of paradise. The photos and description are very accurate, the location is convenient and we saw tons of sea turtles every day from the yard, porches, the bedroom, the kitchen...you can see the ocean from every room in the house. We were sad to leave!
We had a few wonderful days in the house. It is very comfortable and cosy. You cannot beat the location with the ocean at your feet. We would certainly book again!
Having stayed at various properties around the islands over the years, you will be hard-pressed to find a better location and personally intimate property than the Lani Kai. The views are amazing from every angle on the property and in the cottage itself. We had everything we needed to enjoy a sunset dinner each night on the deck. All along the way, from booking to our final departure, our hosts were highly communicative and responsive. We loved it!
