This remodeled Ocean View Studio is beautifully decorated. The many personal touches will make you feel at home in this unit and you will Love spending time relaxing on the lanai. You will enjoy gazing at the Pacific ocean in the morning and quite possibly all day.
Located on the 3rd floor, in addition to the ocean view, this unit also has wonderful courtyard and pool views. The kitchen has granite counter tops, new stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped. Washer/dryer is located just down the hall, as are the elevators. The television in this unit is a 55 inch Sony TV. New carpet installed on March 24, 2023. Also, there are many books, board games and a bocce ball set.
Beach towels are available for your use at the pool area. Previous guests have commented that our unit has the Best decor at the Whaler.
Please note that for bookings of a minimum of 10 nights a mid-stay cleaning is included at no additional charge.

The Whaler does collect a $31. per day resort fee, January, 2024- March 2024, fee is $33. per day April 1, 2024- March 31, 2025. Fee April 1, 2025 is $35. per day. Fee includes: free use of washer/dryer, parking, pool towels, use of gym, etc.

This was my second stay in 313 and it was lovely. The kitchen has everything you need. Very comfy bed and lots of small touches to make you feel at home.Sunsets are beautiful from the lanai.The owner is very responsive to any needs or concerns.Hope to return again!

This was my third stay at The Whaler and this is the best condo I have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, well maintained and had lots of little extras for a comfortable stay (books, board games, fully equipped kitchen, beach chairs & umbrellas, bathroom & cleaning supplies). Sadly, I arrived the day before the fires started so didn’t get to enjoy it. The owner very kindly refunded my payment. I didn’t ask, she just did it. Thank you for your kindness, Ethel. I am very grateful and hope to return when Maui has recovered from this awful tragedy.

The condo was immaculate and felt very at home. Everything was available to cook with, clean with and even books to read on the veranda. Waking up each morning to the sound of the ocean was calming and at peace. To be just steps from the beach where you can snorkel with sea turtles and fish was truly amazing. This was by far the best vacation we have had. With plans to visit The Whaler again.
Ethel Grant was there for us when we had questions and kept us "in the loop" with the process. We will be back Ethel, the location of the condo was priceless.

The condos are mostly privately owned. Well taken care of the facilities are quiet, clean, and very charming. When we come to Maui, we only stay at the Whaler and our friends house.

The unit is dated, needs some attention to detail. Reminded me of an old cliche, you get what you pay for.
Ethel the owner was very easy to deal with and responded to all my questions and needs in a timely manner. Kitchen was well stocked and chairs, umbrella and cooler came in handy. Getting the TV to work on a consistent basis was challenging, instructions to operate are outdated and don’t match the current channel changer, had to have maintenance come up twice to fix. Also, might consider updating the TV in this unit.
We had no wash cloths or Kleenex tissue for our 9 night stay.
This was my 7th stay at The Whaler and the first time in a studio, the other 6 times were either a 1BR/1BA or 1BR/2BA, for future stays will be going back to the the 1BR units.
Lastly I want to thank Ethel for the late check out on our last day, it helped a lot.

The Whaler is our favorite location on Maui. Unit 313 has a perfect view. Would love to stay there again next time
