We've stayed at Andy and Becky's place many times now. We just love it. It's a great place, and it's so close to all of the things we love to do on the North shore of Kauai. They're great. The place is great. The North shore of Kauai is great.
This property was incredible. The location was great, the view cannot be beat, and the property was perfectly stocked and impeccably clean. Our guests' ages ranged from 6 to 65, and everyone was thrilled. There were beach chairs, sand toys, beach umbrella, paddle boards, pickleball and tennis equipment, a cooler, a kitchen with everything you need to make great meals at home, games and books, and a washer and dryer so we went home with clean clothes. The resort property had a lovely pool and hot tub, two restaurants and a coffee shop, and pickleball and tennis courts. The beach was lovely, with plenty of trees for natural shade. We can't say enough good things about this property and we would absolutely come here again.
The 3 bedroom condo was spectacular! On the ground floor made it so much fun with the granddaughters. The owners of this unit did a marvelous job. Great decor.However - The Hanalei Bay Resort is NOT a ‘Resort’. The pool is not a resort pool. There is no bar, it was closed a few years ago.The swim up bar is closed. There is no drink service. They don’t serve food until 3pm because a separate company owns the restaurant. The pool is worn out and old.Valet car service is posted but not available. There is not nearly enough parking available.And what’s with paying top dollar for the condo (it was worth it) but then the Resort nickel and dimes you for a 50 check in fee. Tacky!!! Plus 25/day for parking and can’t find parking spots.It should be banned from calling this a Resort!
Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. You have to see it. The views will take your breath away. Everything was amazing minus cleanliness. I think the cleaners hurried on rhis one. Rugs clearly not vacuumed, dustwebs on lights, food smears around (I cleaned them myself as a property owner). But this is not the owners fault for a one off -they were amazing and it still deserves 5 stars.
We enjoyed our stay so much. Everything was perfect, the view, the sound of the crashing waves below, the coffee maker. A very well maintained and curated place. Hope to come back sometime soon.
We enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo so much. The view absolutely cannot be beat. We sat on the patio watching sun turn into clouds then turn into rain then turn into a rainbow and then back to sun again in the span of 30 minutes. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. We used the pickleball courts and the beach and enjoyed them both. 5 stars!
Excellent. Top vacation of my life with my family as grown adults. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and this unit did NOT disappoint-thank you.I would highly recommend this unit to everyone. Next time we’ll stay for two weeks. Mahalo!!
The photos don’t do this property justice! We are a family of five — a mix of sons, daughters, children and teens. Everyone was stunned by this stay! The property itself was beyond compare — from the astounding views and comfy beds to the Caraway cookware and Jura coffee system. No detail is overlooked. And the patios! So perfect. Some nights you could even hear live musical performances drifting up from the beach. What a perfect way to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. And the surrounding grounds were another eye opener. Online everything looks nice and peaceful, but in person it is amplified. We enjoyed time by the pool and felt comfortable allowing the kids to explore the property. Don’t hesitate! Book this slice of paradise for your stay!
Can’t beat the views from this unit. Well placed to walk to the beach. The unit itself is very nice…slightly dated decor and fixtures but whatever. I would return in a heart beat.My only complaint is that the resort parking is a little scarce. Had to valet the car because there were no spots in the lot.
The Muxlow property was a great place to stay. It was super clean, with beautiful decor and top-notch appliances in the kitchen (an amazing coffee/espresso maker!). It also had great extras like coolers, beach chairs, and boogie boards. The views of Hanalei Bay are breathtaking, and the resort has 2 good restaurants. We didn't want to leave!
The property was beautiful. The beach walking distance. Best view I could imagine. Clean and well stocked. Amazing coffee machine. Only complaint is the mattress in the mater suite was terrible.

Home was nice and fully equipped. Staff driven golf carts to take you to different areas of the resort, nice walking paths. Home cool with AC. There are a lot of extra charges staying at the resort that added up to over an extra $200 for 3 nights- so just pay attention! Parking was not easy- 2 nights we rode around trying to find a place to park. We enjoyed the stay there and did not begin to use all of the amenities.
Well, I'm serious. We've stayed at this place probably a dozen times in the last 15 years. It's fantastic - too many things to do a review justice. The place itself is wonderful. We literally feel like we're living in Kauai when we stay there. It has everything we need. Also, the view of Hanalei Bay and the ocean can't be beat. The sun sets outside of the back yard. It's magical. We also love the proximity of this place to so many other places we love - like Queens Bath and the hiking all around the area.
Perfect place for first time experience to be the absolute best! Great grandma celebrating 94th bday and she was easily able to get around the resort and get rides to the beach. The best patio and bird watching on the island and we fully enjoyed our time. Thank you.
We planned a trip with a large group for my husband's 50th birthday, and my immediate family stayed at the Muxlow property. The condo was even better than advertised! We were told several times throughout the week by resort staff that we were in the nicest property onsite, and we believed it. The best views and really nice accommodations. The condo was also fully stocked with beach items, coolers, a wagon, and a fabulous cappuccino machine! The property was next level and we would definitely stay here again. 10/10
The pictures don't do the view justice. Absolutely gorgeous. The accommodations were five star+ with every attention to detail. Extremely well stocked gourmet kitchen, beautiful interior decor befitting the location. The entire family all agreed that if we come back to Kuai, they want to stay here again.

We love this spot, every piece of furniture and decor are perfect. I could sit and all day and think we did and stare out at the view and watch the weather, surfers, waterfalls change throughout the day.
We were a family of 6 - with 2 teenagers. Intimate sunsets from the back patio, well kept and beautiful inside of the condo. And easy access to the pool and beach. I wish we could buy this place. I still have the picture from the backyard on my phone - it’s a little bit of heaven on Earth. Don’t hesitate, rent this place!
The property was beautiful; the unit is darker than photographed, but the view is priceless and the decor is cute! We rented a mini pool for our toddlers, filled it up, and they played on the grass in the back. Perfect for kids and a great location! There were a few maintenance issues (washer/AC/ a clogged sink), but Becky had maintenance there to fix it within hours of arrival.
Great stay at this place! The view is probably the most spectacular review on the entire island, and feels very private.
Will stay again!

Condo set up was perfect for a large family needing 3 private bedrooms. Owners were super easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

My family loved the spacious condo with killer views of the Napali Coast from everywhere in the condo. Three spacious bedrooms with their own baths. Full access to resort amenities including bar and pool and hot tub and tennis and a nice snorkeling beach.
