Nice place! If you're looking for a place out of the hustle-bustle of Honolulu with a great beach, pool, and hot tub, this is it. Not a pretty drive to get to because of the homeless camps along the coast, but the facility itself is safe with secured parking and this unit is well maintained. It suited the 2 of us just fine!
Amazing the view alone is worth it! Plus fully furnished kitchen. Would definitely come back.

Great relaxing place to stay away from the city
The communication was excellent. Check in was simple with great instructions. We stayed four nights and the property had everything! Towels, beach equipment and toys, hair styling equipment, pots & pans, anything you may need!!! The view is absolutely breathtaking and the beach is right through the back gate. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all. We practically had the back to ourselves. Great sunsets and stores close by.

We love Waianae & Makaha, and if it's for you, you'll know. Nice AC and Kitchen. Great view. Secluded beach. Would definitely stay again. But . . . if you've not been here before . . . just be certain.
The property is beautiful. You're staying on a semi secluded beach. You can sit on the balcony and watch turtle swim, because the water is so clear! We saw turtles every day we were there. You're away from the tourists so you're looking at how the island truly is un commercialized. It's very quiet and very serene. If I ever come back, I would 100% stay here again. This is the west side of the island so you get to watch the sunset every night!
We all really enjoyed our stay at the condo. Nice accommodation's, only reason I gave it four star's was the futon. Listing states 2 futon's, one is just the pad from a futon, the full futon felt like sleeping on springs. A mattress cover would really help improve this.
This was our second time staying at this rental over Christmas. We enjoy staying on this dryer side of the island and the reasonable price for the ocean views and being on the beach.

However, the Waienae towards Makaha West side of Oahu in recent years has turned even more depressing with the homeless encampments and constant sirens. If you’re looking for an affordable Hawaii getaway and don’t worry about that this is perfect. If you are searching for the magical Hawaiian Paradise, then spend more money and go somewhere else.
Stayed at this property for three nights, the view is exceptional as is the beach, we were comfortable and happy with most everything in this well stocked property; lots of towels, swimming gear/beach chairs, a great balcony for breakfast, and fully functioning AC. Instructions and communication from the owners was first-rate.
The washer door must be closed to close the bi-fold door that conceals the piggyback washer/dryer, which makes the smell of mildew quite bad, it filled the entire unit with badness when we tried to wash a load and the smell stuck in our clothes, not a huge deal but if you are sensitive it could be impactful.
Neighbors are also pretty special; locals are noisy and the homeless have taken up next to the property, precluding our hike to the top of the rock - these would not keep us from coming back but were light annoyances.
Parking felt safe and the building security is crafted with locks to get both in and out so I never felt like my kids or stuff were unsafe while onsite.
The stay at the Hawaiian Princess at this condo was beautiful. Away from the bustle of the big city and close enough to shops and restaurants. A great spot. Plan to be back!
Away from the hustle and bustle, maddening crowds of Waikiki/Honolulu yet an easy drive to all of the attractions Oahu has to offer. Time spent on the lanai overlooking the ocean and listening to the crashing waves is soul soothing to say the least. The secluded beach-uncrowded. This little unit is cozy, well equipped and feels like home from the moment you step into it. Thank you Mary for ensuring our stay was comfortable and that everything was in order.

Beautiful place on an amazing and very secluded beach! From the balcony we could see turtles each morning. Snorkeling is great and this rental has lots of beach/snorkel equipment available. Security here was present and professional. Had a great time here and look to book it again in the near future!
We had a lovely time overlooking the ocean. The moonrises were beautiful, as were the sunsets. The water was a little rough so we couldn't play in it much, but better swimmers enjoyed it a great deal. This condo was well appointed with all we needed. Mary and Neil were great to work with and very patient with our jet lagged brains. It was so nice to have a quiet retreat to come back to after spending time in Honolulu. Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us to enjoy our vacation.
I have family in Nanakuli so I stay at the Hawaiian princess in Makaha every visit. This was the nicest, most updated, cleanest unit that I have stayed in at the Hawaiian princess. Highly recommend this unit!

The Hawaiian Princess is a true hidden gem in an area of Oahu that is not at all touristy. Mary's condo was great and we loved our stay! Also, she was incredibly kind and helpful. Thanks, Mary!
It was great. Watched turtles every morning swimming in the bay. Had fun watching sunsets from the beach and lani. Was so nice to be able to wash and dry clothes. The beach was very nice not crowded at all. Will definitely rent again.

Comfortable and clean, Mary’s Makaha condo was a pleasure to stay in. Fully resourced with all the comforts of home. Mary was very responsive to all my communications. Great service from the security team in the front lobby. But of course the reason this place rises so far above the rest is….THAT VIEW! Those sunsets. The beach in front (a short walk past the rocky shore) is a beautiful sandy, perfect spot to spend the whole day, in and out of the water. We loved the location and area, felt perfectly safe from our early morning walks to our late night returns from dinner at the Beach House (highly recommended, a 5 min drive down the road)
Love Mary’s place, definitely recommended, hope to be back one day.
My wife and I absolutely loved the view as advertised. Her condo has everything and more available for your stay. From little things like kitchen needs to beach gear. The sun sets on back patio side, so my wife got the most amazing sunset photos. In the afternoon, there are 2 umbrellas to use for shade, and there's 4 beach chairs to just enjoy and watch the crashing waves. The beach is beautiful but has a pretty good undertow, so beware for you and your kids, but the more experienced swimmers and locals enjoyed the water. I definitely would come back to Makaha and hopefully Mary's unit is available. Her unit has air conditioning and the other couple that came with us didn't have air conditioning, so if Mary's unit is not available, make sure you look for that. Mary gets back to you very quickly and we had no problems checking in. I could go on and on, but one thing we didn't do that I wished we did was read the guest book that she leaves in her room. Other guests give suggestions on where to go in Makaha, so look for that in the living room near the end table. The parking lot has security gates around the perimeter and you cannot enter anywhere without a key fob, so we felt safe. There are a lot of tourists who stay there, but it is a hidden gem. Thanks for opening your home to us Mary...Absolutely loved it!
I booked this property because we didn’t want to be in the more populated areas of West Oahu. It worked out well. There is a fair amount of commuter traffic in the mornings & evenings. You just have to allow a few extra minutes if you are going sightseeing. I suspect it’s no worse than traffic around Honolulu, though.
The condo building is nice. Check-in was simple. Property is secure & we never had any issues.
There are lots of houseless folks camped out on the beach all along the NW coast, which did deter us from exploring some beaches. However, there are plenty of other areas to explore & many beaches to relax on, or snorkel at, in the vicinity. The beach at the condo is beautiful. We snorkeled there & saw a variety of fish. Each morning, we saw honu (sea turtles) from our lanai. The sunsets were amazing & one of my favorite things about staying here. At night, when it was clear, we could see the Milky Way, too. One night, we saw a satellite in the sky. The light pollution is definitely less there than a more populated area!
The condo is well equipped with plenty of kitchen items, towels, etc. We liked the fact there were beach chairs, umbrellas & other items for our use. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer in the condo. There were some detergent pods & dryer sheets, too.
Communication with the property owner was excellent.
We enjoyed our stay & would recommend this property. 🌺
